Alice Faye Trammell
February 1, 1946 - January 3, 2010
Alice Faye Trammell, 63, was born in Houston, Texas, on February 01, 1946 and went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 3, 2010 at The Woodlands in Texas. Mrs. Trammell graduated from Milby High School in Houston. She was a Christian and had strong beliefs and was very inspirational. She loved her family and loved to travel. She owned her own business and loved to spend money. Her nickname was “rough stuff.”
Mrs. Trammell is survived by her sons; James Reed, Wayne Parker and Jeff Parker, two sisters: Marcha and Nancy Harrison and one granddaughter, Lauren Reed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Hardy Ray and Mary Chandler Harrison.
Funeral services were held Friday, January 8, 2010, at 11:00 AM at Pace Funeral Home, with Pastor Orval Barger officiating. Visitation was held Friday from 9:00 to 11:00 before the services. Burial was at Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska, Texas Pace Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Jerry Bell
September 8, 1952 - December 31, 2009
On September 8, 1952, in Crockett, Texas, a baby boy was born to the late Carl Washington Bell and Magnolia Bell. Jerry attended public school in Crockett, Texas until they moved to Houston, Texas where he then attended M.C. William High School. After High School, he enlisted into the United States Army where he served in Vietnam from 1970 until 1973 when he was honorable discharged. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Doris McCullough and two brothers, Lewis and Tony Bell.
Jerry leaves to cherish his memories, the love of his life Bertha (Bea) Bell, sisters Shirley (Alphonse) Phillips, Cynthia (Marvin) Stewart, brothers Michael (Carolyn) Bell, Bruce (Cassandra) Bell, David Bell and Vicky Bell, daughters Kita (Will) Hartwell, Josette (Lorenzo) Dale, Arlease Graves, Bessica Hensley, Delphia Hunter, all of Houston, Texas, sons, Elton Miles and Brandon (Christina) Miles of Livingston, and Willie Kensely of Washington, D.C.
Four sisters-in-law; Arma (Leveal) Roberts, Essie (Otis) Harrell, Carrie (Russell) Myatt, and Arlene (John) Van Lieshout, Two brothers-in-laws Tommie (Tyler) Bookman and Joseph Ray Bogany Sr. Jerry leaves twenty-three grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends that he loved dearly.
Special friends Mitchell and Brenda Bryant of Round Rock, Texas.
A Celebration of Life for Jerry will be held 11:00 A.M. at New Hope Baptist Church, FM 2969 in Goodrich, TX. Burial to follow in New Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 Friday, January 8, 2010, at Pace Funeral Home.

Sidney Faye Cox, 81, was born March 20, 1928 in Ollie, Texas, and went to be with the Lord, December 24, 2009 at her residence in Fredericksburg, Texas.
Mrs. Cox was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and very much loved by all. She was employed as a dietitian at Timberwood Nursing Home in Livingston and was a member of Camp Ruby Church.
She is survived by her children, Ronald Cox and wife Angela of Livingston, TX; Kenneth Cox and wife Janna of Harper, TX., Olivia Wilson and husband Cecil of Diboll, Tx., Cynthia Slade and husband Chuck of Livingston, TX., Gloria Cox of Fredricksburg, TX., and Angelia Cox of Fredricksburg, TX. Grandchildren; Michelle and Greg Pullen of Lufkin, TX., Jennifer and Kenneth Dillon of Overton, Tx., Laurie and Glen Ferguson of Longview, TX., Stephen Morie of Draper, Utah, Amanda Clarke of Livingston, Tx., Dustin and Taylor Cox of Livingston, Tx., John and Autumn Cox of Livingston, Tx., Kalen Cox of Livingston, TX, Ashley Pajak of Waxahachie, TX., Richard and Jennifer Leggett of Whitney, TX., Brandie and Stephen Celedon of Longview, TX. Randall and Karen Weber of Durant, OK., Faith Cox of Harper, TX., Branden Cox of Harper, TX., Chelsea Cox of Kerrville, TX. Preceded in death are her husband Hubert Cecil Cox and parents, Joe Ivy and Fannie Etta Burks Lowe. Grandson Richard Michael Tolley and great grandson Jayden Michael Hidrogo.
Funeral services were held at Holly Grove Church, December 28, 2009, at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Mitchell Murphy officiating. Visitation was held Sunday evening, December 27, 2009 at Pace Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
William Cyrvin Lathan
March 14, 1923 - December 19, 2009
William Cyrvin Lathan, born in Washington County, Alabama, on March 14, 1923 passed away December 19, 2009 at the Kingwood Medical Center in Kingwood, Texas.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dianne Lathan; son, Tommy Lathan and wife Nona; daughter, Sandra Brown and husband Audie; brother, Bobby Lafolliette, sister, Mary Helen Loper and grandchildren; Natalie, Darren, John, Brian, Karen, Carolyn, Melody, Chris, Cliff, Sonya and Sara and numerous great grandchildren.
Mr. Lathan was a veteran in the United States Army, having served during World War II. He is preceded in death by his parents Cyrvin and Edna: Baxter Lathan, Son, Carroll Elmore and Grandson, Freddie Elmore. Pallbearers were Johnny McAdams, Keith Smith, Bruce Arnold, Brian Lathan, Thomas Willliamson and Gary Bryant.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at Pace Funeral Home with Pastor Orval Barger officiating. Visitation was held Monday evening, December 21, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Burial followed at the Carmona Cemetery in Corrigan, Texas. with VFW Post # 8568 providing Military Honors.
Bobby Joe Marsh
February 14, 1935 - December 13, 2009
Bobby Joe Marsh, 74, was born in Leggett, Texas February 14, 1935 and went to be with his Lord on Sunday, December 13, 2009.
Bobby was an amateur musician and was a country music fan. He served in the United States Army and worked for Gaylord Container.
He is survived by his son Mike Marsh of Cypress, TX; daughter, Theresa Harris and husband Pat of Highlands, TX; brothers, George Marsh and wife Marie of Livingston, TX, Don Marsh and wife Mary of Livingston, TX, Johnny Marsh and wife Brenda of Livingston, TX.; sisters, Mable Sloan and husband Harold of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Jamie Yarbrough, Bryan Yarbrough and Adam Alpha and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Marsh is preceded in death by his parents Tom and Mable Marsh; brother, Tommy Marsh and sister Beulah Jean Kendall.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, December 16, 2009, 2:00 PM at Bold Springs Cemetery, with Pastor Frank Hood officiating. Visitation was held from 12:00 to 1:30, Wednesday at Pace Funeral Home. Honors will be performed by the VFW honor guard, Post #8568.

Edward H. Lilley
October 8, 1941 - November 8, 2009
Dr. H. Edward Lilley passed away at his home on November 8, 2009 at age 68, after a long battle with diabetes. A memorial service was held Wednesday, 10:00 AM at Pace Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas. Burial followed at Big Sandy Cemetery in Dallardsville, Texas.
He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Abdo of Denver, CO, stepson Rich Madden of Seattle, WA, sister Kathryn Wotipka of Houston, TX, cousin Eileen Broas of Miami, FL, and former spouse, longtime friend and confidant Gloria Lilley of Morgantown, WV. Born on October 8, 1941 to Lewis and Kathryn Lilley in Livingston, TX, he has lived in Alaska, West Virginia, and Colorado.
He earned his PhD In Educational Administration at Texas A & M University. He had a successful career as an educator, serving as Regional superintendent of Schools in Alaska, teaching Educational Administration at WVU for over 20 years and was elected President of the Council of Educational Facilities Planners International. He retired from the Bering Strait school District in Alaska, where he directed all aspects of new school construction and remodeling projects in the Eskimo Villages south of Nome. He was a passionate outdoorsman, competitive marksman, and lifetime member of the NRA. He was also a member of the Kiwanis club.
He went hunting and fishing at every opportunity, sharing his vast knowledge with his friends and family. He traveled all over the world, including vacations with his daughter Cindy in Canada, Mexico, England, Jamaica, Belize, Bonaire, Iceland, and South Africa. He spent his final years relaxing at his country home in the West Virginia hills outside of Morgantown.

Loraine Hutchins, age 88, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Timberwood Nursing Home in Livingston, TX. Mrs. Hutchins was born April 8, 1921 in Lufkin, TX., formerly of Freeport, TX.
She is survived by her sons, Bubba Leonard and wife Carla from Arkansas; Jerry Leonard from Louisiana; and David Hutchins from Freeport, TX, daughters; Joyce Adkins and husband Jim from Freeport, TX, Pat Grimes and husband Robert from Lufkin, TX, Wanda Jones from Clear Lake, TX, Jean Norman and husband Mike from Bastrop, TX. Cindy Nicolas and husband Rick, from Livingston, TX.; 19 grandchildren.

Meadows and wife Corine of Pensacola, FL.; sisters; Dorothy Shockley of Livingston, Corrine Abbott and husband Earl of Leggett, TX, Annette Bonds of Crosby, TX, Delorise McCarty and husband Frank of Leggett, Dolly Martone of Kingwood, TX and Daphene Placker and husband Collis of Livingston, TX; grandchildren, April Shafer and husband Lenny of Quinton, OK, Amanda Salazar and husband Dominic of Temple, TX, Josie Meadows of Channelview, TX; great grandchildren, Shelby Gomez of Houston, TX, Brittany Gomez of Houston, TX, Samantha Shafer of Quinton, Ok and Mikayla Salazar of Temple, TX., numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends that will miss him greatly.
He was always helping neighbors, family and friends and he loved working on tractors.He is preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Elvira Maxine Bonds Meadows; parents, Wiley Theodore and Beatrice Price Meadows and brother Bill Meadows.Pallbearers will be Willie Meadows, Lyle Meadows, Wiley Meadows, Tim Meadows, Wade Abbott and Tommy Baggett.
Funeral services was held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Pace Funeral Home, with Pastor Frank Hood officiating. Burial to follow at Jones Prairie Cemetery. The family received visitors Monday evening from 6 to 8 PM.

Carolyn Sue Ferguson, age 60 was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on February 22, 1949, and went to be with the Lord, December 6, 2009 in Alvin, Texas.
Carolyn was a member of Faith Community Church and loved by all.
She is survived by her husband, James Eric Ferguson; step daughter, Sabrina Ferguson; step son, James Emerson; brother, Bill F. Perkinson, Jr, Wife Nelda; sister, Christy Elaine Hollaway & Husband Harry, niece and nephew, Toilyn Carson and Trent Holloway. Two grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her parents, William F. and Mary Florence Shirar Perkinson.
Graveside services were held December 8, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Peebles Cemetery, with Pastor Judi Wilds officiating.

Bryant Neal Oliver, age 77, passed away at his residence in Onalaska, November 25, 2009. He was born to Garlie and Cordie Walters Oliver, August 15, 1932 in Ace, Texas.
He is survived by his daughters Susan Kent and husband Gerald and Ginger Hooker and Husband Jeff Dyson, sisters, Nelda Jean Morris and husband Jimmy; brother-in-law John Shirley; grandchildren; Tammy Schneider, Bobby Arnold and Ryan Johnson.
Mr. Oliver is preceded in death by his wife Eva (Donnie) Oliver, parents Garlie and Cordie Walters Oliver. Sister Lavada Shirley.
Pallbearers were Matt Schneider, Gerald Kent, Bobby Arnold, Tim Carter, Bo Free and John Wayman Shirley.
Funeral services were held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Pace Funeral Home in Livingston with Orval Barger officiating. Visitation was held Friday, November 27, 2009 from 5-8 P.M. Burial followed in Center Grove Cemetery.
Speranza Mya Ancira
Speranza Mya Ancira, born Friday, October 30, 2009, at the Memorial Medical Center in Livingston and went to be with the Lord the same day. She was born to Isaac and Aracely Prieto Ancira.
Her loving family includes her parents; Grandparents, Raymond & Irma Ulibarri, and Jesus & Alma Prieto, Sr; numerous other relatives. Graveside services will begin at 10am Thursday, November 5, 2009 Peebles Cemetery in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Clifton Labbe, S.V.D officiating.

Rubye A. Morgan

Rubye A. Morgan, age 97, went to be with her Lord, Sunday, November 1, 2009 at Timberwood Nursing Home. She was formerly from Bronson, Texas. Rubye was very personable and had a good sense of humor, she loved flowers and was a great flower gardner. She was known by all as Aunt Rubye. Mrs. Morgan will be missed by all who knew her. She was born in Deadwood, TX, September 22, 1912, to Edward Newton and Lula Virginia Alexander Attaway.
She is survived by her sister, Laverne Harris of Livingston, TX; nephews, Don Terry Harris of San Antonio, TX, Dennis Harris of Livingston, TX, Bobby Harris of Coldwater, MS., David Tillman of Fort Worth, TX, Wayne Attaway of VA; nieces, Gloria Barber of Livingston, TX, Glenda Figeley, of San Antonio, TX, Debbie May of Bastrop, TX and Cindy Franks.
Mrs. Morgan is preceded in death by her husbands, Allen Holt and Dossie Morgan; brother, Ressie Attaway and sister, Berniece Tillman. Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at Pace Funeral Home, with Pastor Orval Barger officiating. The family received friends from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday.
Burial was at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Lufkin, TX. Pace Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
James Patrick O'Hara
January 14, 1945 - October 23, 2009
On October 23rd, 2009, our shining star, James Patrick O'Hara, conceded his last breath to a relentless enemy. His 2 year 4 month battle with pancreatic cancer was fought with courage, faith, hope and determination that was inspiring. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Joseph O'Hara, mother Mary Latham Lees, brothers Joel, Walter and John Hettiger. He is survived by Cathy O'Hara, his devoted and loving wife of 27 years, brother Bill, and daughters: Maureen, Colleen and her husband Kelly, Shannon and her husband Roy, step-son, Blake and his wife Alicia, step-daughter Tosha, mother-in-law Jeannie, sister-in-law Sharon and her husband Eloy, grandchildren Sean, Chris, Amber, Ashley, Brittany, Erin, Emily, Ban, Hunter, Tatianna, Branden, great grandchildren Aerial and Laila, his faithful dog Bandy and numerous other extended family members and friends. Jim's career in the petrochemical industry spanned 42 years. He loved his profession and all who were lucky enough to know him would tell you that his positive attitude was infectious. Jim's greatest love was of his family and friends and this tradition will be carried on by his wife and children. Jim and Cathy's relationship was a beautiful example of true love. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who helped during this struggle, especially Dr. Wolff and Debbie Jones and staff at SWDS. Viewing hours will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 26th and the Celebration of Life starts at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday 27th at Pace Funeral Home, 200 FM 350 North Rd., Livingston, TX 77351 to be followed by a mass at11:00a.m at St. Joseph's Catholic Church across the street.
