Kyle O’neal Bazzano, born August 16, 1961 in Beaumont, TX, went to be with the Lord February 13, 2010 in Segno, TX. Kyle was a member of Fletcher Emanuel Baptist Church in Lumberton, TX. He was a veteran having served in the United States Air Force. His loving family includes mother, Clydine Parlette; son, Tommy O’neal Bazzona; brothers, Steve Warren, Rodger Warren and Stewart Warren & wife Marie; sister, Carolyn Anderson & husband Kelly; numerous other relatives and a host of friends. Pallbearers will be Donald Duncan, Arnold Majors, Shawn Hare, Larry Tomplait, Trae Hinson, Joe Warren, Keith Collins & Buddy Wiggins. A funeral service was held 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Pace Funeral Home with Pastor Irvin Mott officiating. Interment to follow at Camp Ruby cemetery .

Robert John O’Connor

Robert John O’Connor, 81, of Livingston passed away on February 9, 2010. Robert was born to Frank and Catherine O’Connor, whom along with his brothers Edward, Bud and his loving wife of 51 years Helen O’Connor preceded him in death. Robert joined the US Navy in 1946 to 1953. After he was discharged he became an electrician until he retired in the 90’s. In 2005 Bob and his wife moved from New York to Livingston, where they enjoyed their time with friends. He will be greatly missed by those who were close to him. He was a loving devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Robert is survived by his sons, Michael O’Connor and wife Billi of Alaska, Timothy O’Connor and wife Liana of New York; grandsons, Christopher, Sean, Michael; sister, Elizabeth Alferman of New York, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

The Celebration of Life for Robert John O’Connor will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, 13, 2010 at Pace Funeral Home Chapel.

Eric Lelon Berry born September 1, 1936 in Houston, Texas passed away May 21, 2010 at his residence in Livingston, Texas. Eric was a Master Electrician having worked for Cude Electric of Livingston, Texas. His loving family includes wife of 30 years, Ruth Berry, daughter, Anna Burhus, stepsons, Gene Hill and Billy Wayne Hill, stepdaughters, Virginia McKinney, Darlene Gressett and Melissa Hill; sister, Marganna Martin. Also survived by Betty & John Rozell, Barbara & Don McCasland and Jeanette Wooten, 17 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents, Halley and Marquett Berry, daughter, Lori Berry, and stepson, Keith Hill. A celebration of life will be held Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Goodrich United Methodist Church off Loop 393 in Goodrich, Texas. Pace Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Alice Elizabeth Goff

Alice Elizabeth Goff, 66, went to be with the Lord, Friday, May 21, 2010 at Livingston Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her spouse Gail Parker, sons, Jerry Musgrove and Joseph Carter & wife Regina; daughters, Deborah Carter and Eunice Dees; brother, Robert Hermes; sisters, Lana Younger & husband Johnny, Linda Schieni and Sherri Leader and six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her parents Orland (Tuck) Hyde and Lila Jo Musgrove and Hank Hermes; son, Robert Eugene Carter. She is also survived by her step-mother Etheline Hyde and her step-father, Devers Musgrove. A celebration of life will be held Monday, May 24, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Center Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Oakhurst, Texas, with Bro. Jimmy Hermes officiating. Burial will follow at Center Hill cemetery . Visitation will be held Sunday, May 23, 2010 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at Pace Funeral Home. .

Walter Shelton Bradford

Walter Shelton Bradford, 77, was born in Kelso, TN., and went to be with the Lord, Friday, May 21, 2010, at his residence in Livingston, TX. He is survived by his loving wife, of 46 years, Erma Shellnut Bradford; sons, Curtis Bradford of Livingston, TX, Thomas Bradford of Livingston, TX, Walter S. Bradford, Jr. of Cloves, CA.; daughters, Linda Bradford of Marlin, TX, Linda Leonard of Fresno, CA., Debbie Dotson of Fresno, CA.; brothers, Floyd Bradford, Charles Bradford and Cecil Bradford, all from Fayettville, TN.; sisters, Dorothy Solomon of Winchester, TN., Peggy Mann of Elora, TN., Kathrine Patterson of Fayettville, TN., Linda Ried of New Market, AL.; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Walter is preceded him in death by his mother and father, Charles and Bessie Bradford; son, Stephen Bradford, five brothers and five sisters. Pallbearers will be Walter Bradford, Jr., Fred Shellnut, Thomas Bradford, Curtis Bradford, Kevin Hetrick, and Jordan Allen. The Funeral service was held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 26, 2010, at Pace Funeral Home, with Bro. Troy Usleton officiating. The burial will follow at 1:00 PM at Brookside cemetery in Houston, TX. Donald Lawrence Moseley
October 21, 1946 - May 17, 2010

Donald Lawrence Moseley, 63, passed away Monday, May 17, 2010 in Lufkin, Texas. He was born October 21, 1946 in Quitman, Miss., to Robert Earl and Carlee Polk Moseley. He worked in the oilfield a majority of his life. He was a member of Bethel Baptist in Big Lake, TX, Donald was an avid hunter and loved his animals. His survivors include his wife of 36 years, Lois Cammack Moseley; son, Donald Mark Wright and wife Linda; daughter, Loretta Blevins; brothers, Lavelle Moseley and wife Carol, Terry Moseley and wife Jan; sisters, Earlene Burdine and husband Melvine, Barbara Phillips and husband TJ and Patsy Moseley; mother-in-law, Doris Commack. Three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son Duwayne Wright. A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM at the Wright’s residence, 2374 FM 1026, Coleman, TX. Adrian Vasseur, Jr.

Adrian Vasseur, Jr. 71, went to be with the Lord Sunday, May 16, 2010 at the Memorial Medical Center in Lufkin, TX. He was born in Eunice, LA, to Adrian Vasseur, Sr. and Martha LeBeouf, whom precede him in death. He was a Navy Veteran and a maintenance supervisor in construction. His survivors include his wife of 12 years, Helen Insall Vasseur; sons, Ferlin Vasseur, Adrian Vasseur, III, (Cooney), Jerald Vasseur; daughters, Cynthia Granger, Cathy Savoy and Vicky Granger; brother, Earl Vasseur, twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph, Louis and Shelby. Dewey Edward Sullivan
December 24, 1957 - May 9, 2010

Dewey Edward Sullivan, 52, died Sunday, May 9, 2010 at his residence in Houston, TX. Dewey was born December 24, 1957 to Robert Blackman and Myra Lillian Budro in Liberty, TX. Dewey was a certified welder and did tank car repairs. He spent time with his three children, whom he loved very much. He loved riding Harleys, shooting pool and cooking BBQ briskets. He belonged to St. Jude’s Children organization and TMRA.

He is survived by his loving companion, Janice Stephens; wife, Bambi Sullivan; former wife, Linda Baker; son, Erick Sullivan; daughters, Tiffany Sullivan and Holli Sullivan; brother, Bobby Sullivan; sisters, LaWon Johnson, Doris Creamer, Peggy Freiga, Sara Brown and Dorothy Fry. Grandchildren, (Peanut) Darien Luis Gurka, III.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Robert B. and Lillian Sullivan; brothers, Darrell (Buddy) Sullivan and R.B. Jr. Sullivan.

Flora Dell Godwin
July 1, 1926 - May 7, 2010

Flora Dell Godwin, age 83 of Lake Livingston, Texas passed away Friday, May 7, 2010 after a courageous fight against Pancreatic Cancer. Flora was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on July 1, 1926 to Mart and Pearl Aldridge. She was a Christian who loved the Lord with all her heart and always thanked Him for her many blessings throughout her life. The greatest of these were the sixty-five years spent with her husband and love of her life, James H. (Red) Godwin, Sr. Flora was a dedicated wife, mother and friend. She was an avid gardener, loved the outdoors and tending to her azaleas. Mrs. Godwin was a multi-talented person who enjoyed knitting, sewing, cooking for her family and traveling with her husband over the years. She often gifted many friends and loved ones with her knitted creations.

Flora is survived by her daughter, Liz Mabry and husband, Byron; son, James Howard Godwin; grandchildren, Mark Spurgeon and wife Renee and his children, Chelsea and Matt, Brad Spurgeon and wife Townley and his children, Joey, Ryan and Bradley, Tommy Godwin and wife Sherry and his children Ricky Jo, Tyler and Bella, Daryl Godwin and wife Jennifer and his daughter Macey; brother, J.L. (Jim) Aldridge and wife Dorothy of Livingston, TX; sister, Mary Elizabeth Thomas and husband Hubert of Clarksville, TN. She is preceded in death by her, Mother and Father, Mart and Pearl Aldridge; sister and brother-in-law, Inez and Austin Seal and sister, Alice Jean Miller.

Funeral services were held May 11, 2010 at 2:30 PM at Pace Funeral Home, with Bro. Orval Barger officiating. Burial to follow in Peebles cemetery in Livingston, TX.

If desired, a memorial may be made to the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, 7707 Fannin St., Houston, TX 77054-1926.

James Junior Lester
October 22, 1973 - April 23, 2010

James Junior Lester 36, of Livingston went to be with the Lord Friday, April 23, 2010 at the Good Shepherd Hospital in Longview, TX. He was born to James Lee and Alice Conley Lester, October 22, 1973 in Mann W. Virginia. Mr. Lester worked for Gregg Industrial Insulators . He loved horses and cooking Mexican food. His survivors include his wife Tier Anne Porter Lester; daughter, Sierra Lynn Porter Lester; son, James Leland Lester; nephew, Steven Anderson; sister Cindy Lynn Lester Anderson and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles. Graveside services will be held Friday, 12:30 PM, April 30, 2010 at Emmett cemetery in Emmett, TX, with Bro. Michael Gates officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 29, 2010 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Pace Funeral Home.

Almarine Plattenburg
January 11, 1930 - April 20, 2010

On January 11, 1930, a baby boy born to Jake Plattenburg and Juanita Henderson, reared by Georgia Plattenburg (stepmother). He grew up in Polk County, Texas, and New Orleans, Loui­siana. He became a member of the Garver Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, and was baptized at an early age. Almarine was a faithful and dedicated deacon at Garver Chapel Missionary Baptist Church for many years. During his lifetime, Deacon Plattenburg sang with various quartets and Gospel sing­ing groups throughout surrounding counties. He later joined St. Luke's Missionary Baptist Church, where he served until his health failed.

He was a veteran in the United States Marine Corp., having served in the Korean War, receiving numerous metals of honor. On May 27, 1950, Almarine united in Holy Matrimony with Espenola Plattenburg, from this union five children were born.

Almarine went home to be with the Lord on April 20, 2010. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Espenola; son, Bobby Plattenburg; father, Jake Plattenburg; mother, Juanita Henderson; stepmother, Georgia Plattenburg; brothers, Leon Plattenburg, Lorenzo Plattenburg and Alvin Plattenburg; one grandson, Markeith Plattenburg; and sister, Rose Houston.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Aspostle B.J. Plattenburg (Rosie), Dr. John Plattenburg, Pastor Kenneth Plattenburg (Tammy), Tamalyn Smith (Alvin), Equalia Perodin; 25 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; sister, Vonzella Nelson; and brother, Jake Plattenburg. Additionally, nieces, Joyce Coachman, Ester Swanson; one nephew, David Coleman, all of whom he raised; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

July 9, 1952 - April 15, 2010

Gunnard Kim Elliott born July 9, 1952 in Lebanon, Oregon, passed away April 15, 2010 at his residence in Livingston, Texas at the age of 57. Gunnard was a veteran having served in the U. S. Army. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. His loving family includes parents, Robert and Carrie Elliott, loving companion, Debby Livingston, son, Gunnard Elliott, Jr., and wife Ashley; daughters, Hope Gulley and husband Jason, Casey Hues and husband Wade; brother, Tom Elliott and wife Barbara. Mother of children, Kathy Dougherty, grandchildren, Dennis Gulley, Jacob Gulley, Kayla Elliott, Abigail Gulley, Lane Elliott, Andrew Gulley, and Cutter Hues.

Visitation will be held from 5pm till 8 pm on Friday April 16, 2010 at Pace Funeral Home. Graveside service and internment will begin at 11am on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Camp Ruby cemetery with Pastor Mitchell Murphy officiating. Pace Funeral was in charge of arrangements.

Audrey E. Barfield
March 4, 1933 - April 10, 2010

Audrey E. Barfield, 77, was born in Houston, TX, March 4, 1933, and went to be with her Lord Saturday, April 10, 2010.

She is survived by her sons, Hulon “Buddy” Barfield and wife Doris of Baytown, TX, Jeff W. Barfield and wife Debbie of Coldspring, TX; granddaughters, Stephanie Locke of Baytown, TX, Rachel Arnold of Baytown, TX, Christy Purkerson of Cleveland, TX, Melanie Roberts of Coldspring, TX; great grandchildren, Cortney Locke, Magen Locke, Hunter Roberts, Layne Purkerson, Aiden Roberts, Jarrett Purkerson and sister, Ruth Comer.

Mrs. Barfield is preceded in death by her parents, C.H. and Alma Ruth Yarbrough and son Darell Barfield. A Celebration of life for Audrey E. Barfield will be at Pace Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 14, 2010, with Bro. Orval Barger officiating.

Mildred Lorene Robinson
February 12, 1931 - April 12, 2010

Mildred Lorene Robinson, 79, went to be with the Lord, Monday, April 12, 2010 after a long illness. She was born February 12 1931 in Box Church, Texas to Elzie and lone Kilpatric, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Staten Austin Robinson and daughter, Marilyn Sue Gonzales and her partner, John Dean; two grandsons, Thomas Gonzales, Jr. and Johnny Gonzales and their families, all of Livingston, Texas. She is also survived by one sister and four brothers; Louise Glos, Houston, Texas; Walter Hand, Houston, Texas; Don Kilpatric, Bakersfield, California; Carl Hand, Richmond, Texas and Don Hand, Corpus Christi, Texas and many nieces and nephews. She was blessed with eleven great grandchildren and one great, great grandson. Services will be held Thursday, April 15, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Pace Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas with Pastor Irvin Mott officiating. Pallbearers will be Thomas Gonzales, Jr., Troy Lee Robinson, Sean David Lambert, Jason Hand, Brian Lee Higginbotham, and Brett Robinson. Honorary pallbearers will be John Dean, Walter Hand and Kenneth Heathcock. Burial will follow at Big Sandy cemetery . Visitation was held Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Pace Funeral Home.

Keith Allen Frasier
June 7, 1960 - April 3, 2010

Keith Allen Frasier, age 49 of Woodville, TX, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, April 3, 2010. He was born June 7, 1960 in Daytona Beach, FL to William Charles and Lillie Mae Roop Frasier.

Mr. Frasier was an ACE certified automotive technician for 36 years. He enjoyed fishing l loved to ride his motorcycle and loved eagles. His survivors include his wife of 16 years, Hope Wilson Frasier, sons; Duston Joseph Frasier, Warren Scott Frasier, daughters: Jessica Nicole Brown, Andrew Ghea, brothers; Russell F.Frasier, Randolph F. Frasier, Robert Lively, Brian Frasier, Warren F. Frasier, John Berkenstock, sisters; Cathy Lively, Debora Wyatt and Janice Brooks, grandchildren; Alexander, Christopher, Gordon, Carson, Nathan, Tyler, Eathan, and (DJ) Duston Joseph. Visitation will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 8, 2010 and a celebration of life will begin at 3:00 PM, at Pace Funeral Home.

Donald Richard Murphy
June 4, 1938 - April 1, 2010

Donald Richard Murphy was born June 4, 1938 and passed away at home Thursday, April 01, 2010 at the age of 71.

He is survived by his son, Donald Murphy, Jr. and wife Ada of Pasadena, TX, ; daughter, Yvette Karen Byrum and husband Jackie of Livingston, TX.; grandchildren, Annette Karen Byrum, Yaimy Calderon, Luis Espinosa, Kevyn Espinosa, Ambar Espinosa; great grandchild, Rangel Scott Calderon; mother, Lela Palmer of WA; brother, David Palmer of WA, sisters, Amanda Palmer of CA, Debbie Koger of NV; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of special friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM Monday, April 5, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Clifton Labbe officiating. The burial will be in the Gardens of Memories Memorial Park in Lufkin, TX. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Sunday with the Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM at Pace Funeral Home with Deacon Vitla officiating.

Doris Marie Standard Pace
May 24, 1929 - March 29, 2010

Doris Marie Standard Pace was born in Livingston, TX, on May 24, 1929 to Fred and Maggie Standard. She went to her heavenly home on March 29, 2010.

"Dorsie" as she was affectionately known by family and friends was a member of First Baptist Church of Livingston. She was an avid gardener. She would spend hours every day working in her yard and was rewarded by beautiful flowers almost year round. She was a member and Past President of the Pilot Club of Livingston. She enjoyed sending cards and letters of encouragement to those who were homebound or in need of comfort. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren always looked forward to holiday cards from her because she would never forget to send them one with a $2 bill enclosed. She also sent cards, games and Disney movies to children who were ill or homebound.

Dorsie retired from the Texas Dept. of Human Services, Day Care licensing division, after 30 years of service. After retirement she assisted her husband Perry Pace, Jr. as office manager of Pace Funeral Home until his passing in 1994.

She is survived by her daughter, Dalva Rowe Moseley of Livingston, TX; son, Frederick Dennis (Bubba) Rowe and wife Elena of Livingston, TX; step sons, Terry Pace and wife, Marsha of Livingston, TX, Perry Pace, III and wife, Sue of San Antonio, TX, Jerry Pace and wife, Doris of Sneedville, TN.; grandchildren, Shelly May, Ellen May, Reid Rowe, Melissa Walding, Tracy Orn, Perry Pace IV, Susan Pace Randall, Hudson Pace, Clare Pace, Alex Pace, Mary Pace Livingstone, Caroline Pace, Judith Pace Youngman, Misty Howell, Steve Price, Stacy Strain, and numerous great-grandchildren.

Pall bearers were: Hudson Pace, Perry Pace IV, Steve Price, Brent Alexander, Reid Rowe and Mark Moseley. Honorary pall bearers were: Roger Alexander, Butch Hawkins, Keith Hawkins, Jim Thornton, Mike Jacobs and Charles Palmer.

A Celebration of her life was held at Pace Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 31 at 2:00 PM with Bro. Orval Barger officiating. The family received friends from 6-9PM, Tuesday. The interment was in Forest Hill cemetery .

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be sent to the American Cancer Society or www.pmckids.org.

Barbara Dean Tucker
March 8, 1934 - July 18, 2010

Barbara Dean Tucker Born March 8th, 1934 in Hargill, Texas passed away July 18th, 2010 in Livingston, Texas at the age of 76. Barbara was a member of First Baptist Church of Providence since 1985 where she taught Sunday school & Vacation Bible School. Her loving family includes husband of 34 years David Tucker; children DeAnn Anderson & husband Porter, Lisa Kay Sheka, Reva Gail Stephen & husband Steve, Cary Ethan Smith & wife Jennifer, David Clark Tucker & wife Dorcus, William Eugene Tucker & wife Kim, Charles Anthony Tucker & wife Deborah & Julie May Tucker; Brother, Dorman Pollock & wife Betty, 20 Grandchildren & 7 Great Grandchildren, many special Prayer Partners & friends. She is preceded in death by one son, Mark Miliam & parents Audrey & Bernice Pollock. Pallbearers include David Tucker, William Tucker, Charles Tucker, Cary Smith, Porter Anderson & Lloyd Stephenson.
