She was born in Tyler, Texas the son of John & Geneva King Brown and passed away November 11, 2010 in Frisco, Texas.

She is survived by Jeff & Cheryl Leatherman, son and daughter in law, Ken & Barbara Leatherman, son and daughter in law, Tim & Rosemary Leatherman, son and daughter in law, Jerry & Sandra Leatherman, son and daughter in law, Judy Hutcheson, daughter, Annie Barger, sister and 15 grandchildren.

Brittnay Leigh Tidwell
September 12, 1991 - November 7, 2010

Brittnay Leigh Tidwell, born September 12, 1991 in Houston, Texas to Michael Kevin Tidwell and Lisa Janel Key Tidwell was called home to her Heavenly Father on November 7, 2010. Brittnay was preceded in death by her father, Michael, her grandfathers, Robert Key and Harry Porter. She is survived by her parents, Greg and Lisa Michael, sister, Tiffany Michael, brothers, Brady and Gregory Michael, sister-in-law, Heather Loomis and niece, Makaelah Grace Michael all of Porter, Texas. Her grandmothers, Lynne Key of Livingston and June Porter of Deer Park, Texas, other grandparents, Jane and Nathan (Butch) Crawford of Denham Springs, Louisiana and Ron and Charlotte Michael of Conroe, Texas. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins and a host of friends. She graduated from New Caney High School in May of 2010, was a student at Lone Star College of— Kingwood, loved the theater, was an excellent actor in many productions, and worked at the Texas Renaissance Festival each fall.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 11, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. and services Friday, November 12, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Green Lawn Funeral Home on Loop 494 in New Caney, Texas.

Kimberly A. Lewis
November 19, 1970 - November 2, 2010

Funeral services for Kimberly Ann Pate Lewis age 39 of Livingston, Texas will be held Saturday November 6, 2010 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Cochran Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Shine officiating and interment to follow in the Farley Chapel Cemetery in Shepherd, Texas. Pallbearers will be Chad Hammett, Ben Cockrell, Kevin Lloyd, Chance Cockrell, Mike Colvin and Kim Holmes. Honorary Pallbearers will be Marty Williams, Chris Pate, Jay Todd Hughes and Allan Hughes.

She was born November 19, 1970 in Channelview, Texas the daughter of Donnie Pate and Elaine Smith and passed away Tuesday November 2, 2010. She is preceded in death by her brother Kevin Ray Pate.

Kim was marriage to her sweetheart Michael, raising two teenagers and working for the family business. Some of her favorite quotes were “ Don’t be afraid of perfection, you’ll never reach it” Striving for excellence motivates you; striving for perfection is demoralizing.”-Harriet Braiker. She loved scrap booking, traveling and Facebooking.

She is survived by her husband Michael Lewis, daughter Olivia and son, Ethan, Donnie and Jane Pate, father and step mother, Elaine Smith, mother, Chris Pate, brother, Beth Pate, sister, Wayne and Elaine Lewis, mother in law and father in law, Guy Wayne Lewis, brother in law, grandparents, Mert and Raymond Handley, numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday July 2nd for Donald Gene Evans at 11:00 a.m. at Pace Funeral Home in Livingston. Mr. Evans is preceded in death by his parents Harold Evans, Mary Sorhowski, and his brother Harold Evans Jr. Don is survived by his children Tracy Heidpman, Dawn Evans, Ryan and Taylor Evans, Deanna Evans, Misty Evans, Laura Wilson, Six Grandchildren, Best Friend Arline Marlow, Brothers Bob Evans, Jan Evans, and Dean Evans. He will be truly missed as a great father and man.

Mildred Sue Harris, age 67, was born on March 6, 1944 in Beckville, Texas to Hubert Vest Shipley and Mildred Williams Shipley passed away on June 14, 2011 in Trinity, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Hubert Vest Shipley and Mildred Williams Shipley, daughters, Lisa Muller and Regina Harris, sister, Leona Bailey, sister-in-law, Lena Shipley, niece, Louise Smith.

Allen E. Gott

Allen E. Gott born March 11, 1945 in Valparaiso, Indiana to Dale Gott and Marion Scoville, went to be with his Lord June 23, 2011 in Houston, Texas at the age of 66. Allen retired after 14 years of service with Transocean. A faithful member at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. His loving family includes his wife Juanita L. Gott of Livingston, TX; mother, Marion Bell Gott of Valparaiso, IN; brother; Dale W. Gott, Jr. & wife Sharon of Plymouth, IN; sons; David Gott & wife Susie of Harleton, TX; Kelly A. Gott of Spring, TX, Jason M. Gott of Spring, TX, daughter in law Susie Gott; granddaughters; Bailey Gott, Brinley Gott; grandson; Caydon Gott; nephews; Jeff Gott, Tom Gott; nieces, Kim Cook and Kathereen Macias; numerous other relatives and a host friends. Bernice Beeson born June 23, 1927 in Cleveland, Texas to Melvin Whitmire and Bula Lee Buckalew, passed away June 20, 2011 in Onalaska, Texas at the age of 83. She is survived by her sons; JD Beeson and wife Coly of Freer; Harold Beeson and wife Sharon of Cleveland; daughters; Bertha Beeson, Catherine Beeson, Mary Brewer and husband Charles all of Onalaska; brothers; Ray Whitmire, D.D. Whitmire, Arthur Whitmire, Lewis Whitmire and Marion Whitmire; sisters Melvie Whitmire, Pearl Poter, Hazel Whitmire, Odessa Casewell and Faybell Whitmire all of Cleveland; ten grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Ms. Beeson is preceded in death by her parents; sons; Robert Beeson and Harvey Beeson; sister; Lillian Tilton; brother; Buddy Whitmire and granddaughter Catherine Brewer. Charlotte is survived by Bernice “Pookie” Daughtry, Partner of 33 years of Livingston, Texas, Tony Fehl and wife Sue, Brother and Sister in-law of Pasadena, Texas, Bobby Fehl and wife Betty, Uncle and wife of Fairview Heights, Illinois, Bessie Brown, Aunt of Bellville, Illinois, Toni Michelle Fehl, Niece of Baytown, Texas, Michael and Lisa, Nephew and wife of Huntsville, Texas, Charles Fehl and wife Donna, Nephew and wife of Pasadena, Texas, Randy Dodson and wife Missy, Nephew and wife of La Porte, Texas, 2 Great Nieces, 5 Great Nephews and 4 Cousins. Nola Colquitt Scott

Funeral Services for Nola Scott, 96, of Lufkin, Texas will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2011 in the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Corrigan, Texas with Rev. Herman Scott officiating. Interment to follow at Lily Island Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, June 24, 2011 in the Corrigan Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Ma`dea, Grand Mama, Aunt Nola, Cousin Nola, Mrs. Scott, Sis. Scott was born November 14, 1914 in Peach Tree Village, Texas to Henry Colquitt and Ellen Martin Colquitt.

Mrs. Nola Scott resided in Camden, Texas for many years then moved to Corrigan, Texas in 1969 until her health began to fail in 2005 at which time she resided in Lufkin, Texas until the Lord called her home.

Ma`dea, Grand Mama, Aunt Nola received her education in Camden Texas. She worked as a maid (known in today’s society as a domestic engineer) for white families in both Camden and Corrigan and performed various other jobs such as a presser at the Corrigan Cleaners, a cook at Corrigan-Camden High School and she also worked at W.T. Carter & Bros. Saw Mill in Camden, the --- and Georgia Pacific Plywood plant in Corrigan to help provide for her family.

Mrs. Nola Scott gave her life to Christ at a very early age and was a member of the Palestine Baptist Church, Lily Island Baptist Church then the New Olive Baptist Church of Camden, Texas merged with the Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Snow Hill, Texas and became Mt. Olive Baptist Church where Sis. Scott continued to be an active member until her health began to fail. She was devoted to Mission work, she housed guest for the visiting association members, she sold good dinners for the church building funds and pastor’s anniversaries, and she was always helping those in need.

Mrs. Scott believed in supporting her pastors and her church. Her motto was Ecclesiastes 11:1-`Cast you bread upon the waters for you shall find it after many days.

Sis. Scott was a devoted Eastern Star and she served as Mission President at the New Olive Baptist in Camden, Texas for many, many years.

Sis. Scott was also known to be a very sharp dresser. She could accessorize any outfit, hats, shoes, purses with matching jewelry for any occasion and wearing the finest perfumes. Many years ago in Camden before integration, several young ladies would borrow her gloves and jewelry to wear to their senior proms and dances, they were always sworn to a verbal commitment to return them the next day in the same condition they left in. She led by example and she expected us to follow. When she worked at the Saw Mill, she starched and ironed her coveralls and put on perfume. She used to say ‘always make a clean start.

Mother’s Day 1998, Sis Nola Scott received `Mother of the Year` here at Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

Mrs. Nola Scott marriage Mr. Theodore Scott, December 6, 1944, who preceded her in Death December 5, 1971.

Mrs. Nola Scott was one of the last of 23 children. All of her siblings preceded her in death.

Ma`dea, Grand Mama, Aunt Nola, Cousin Nola, truly loved all of her children and family and would go to any measure to defend, support and rescue them at any cost, we mean ANY COST.

Ma`dea, Grand Mama, leaves to cherish her life and legacy 2 sons: Henry Louis Scott (Clara) of Los Angeles, California, Reverend Herman E. Scott (Nelda) of Lufkin, Texas, 2 daughters, Billie Jean Scott- Fears of Los Angeles, California and Nola Beth Scott- Jackson (David) of Fort Worth, Texas. 13 Grandchildren: Reverend James D. Fears Jr.( pastor of the Spirit of Love Baptist Church in Los Angelos, California), Reverend Gilbert W. Fears, Herman M. Scott, Herman E. Scott II, LaShanna Scott-Gilmore, LaVhanna Scott, Lateesha D. Scott, Reverend Montavion D. Scott, Vincent A. Keys, Jr., Victor Theodore Keys, Venus C. Jackson, Jezreel Branch, and preceding in death Reverend Broderick J. Fears and 25 great-grandchildren, 24 great-great grand-children. Special family friends, Clifford & Arnita Cartwright of Fort Worth, Texas, and Luberta Fields of Lufkin and many, many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
