She is preceded in death by parents, George Franklin Williams and Jennie Mae Parrish Williams, husband, Thomas Edward Jones, brothers, Ray and Jessee D. Williams, sister, Imogene Grubbs.
She is survived by Linda Mae Hopkins, daughter, of Livingston, Texas, Melissa Darnell Hopkins, granddaughter, of Livingston, Texas, Courtney Mae Franklin, great granddaughter, of Livingston, Texas, Ariel Ann Bass, great granddaughter, of Livingston, Texas, Charles Thomas James Bass, great grandson, of Livingston, Texas. He marriage his wife Sandra Maribel Zuniga in Lufkin on June 16, 2009. He was employed at Lufkin Industries Inc. and was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Corrigan, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William Robert “Bob” Arnold and Lula Frances Kirkpatrick, and husband, H.E. Majors.
Bobbie is survived by June Grimes, daughter of Livingston, Texas, Margarett Jamail and husband J.T., Daughter and Son-In-Law of Cypress, Texas, 7 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 23 great great-grandchildren. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.

Betsy Madeline Riggs
Betsy Madeline Riggs, 85, of Livingston died Thursday, July 7, 2011. She was born on November 7, 1925, but she always lied about her age because she looked so darned good. She was daughter of Mitchell William (Bud) Antee and Lescar Rachal Antee. She was born in Natchitoches Parish in Louisiana. She is survived by her Daughter, Elizabeth R. Hancock of Livingston, her son, Duane Lee Riggs of Houston, her granddaughter Christie Hancock Jones of Livingston, her grandson Cody Hunter Riggs of Houston, and her sister, Shirley Jo Fritz of Magnolia. She was a beautiful woman, a classy dresser, a world traveler, a good dancer, and a witty conversationalist. Always game for a new adventure. She will be buried in Louisiana at the Rachal Family Cemetery at Monet Ferry. Heaven, get ready….she is coming your way.

Hughes Oil Company and was a member of Union Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Corrigan, Texas where he served as a deacon for 26 years. He is preceded in death by his parents: David T. and Allie Elizabeth (Gates) Currie; twin brother: Thomas Glenn Currie and brothers: Billy B. Gates, Doug Gates; sister: Betty S. Woods. Bob sometimes exhibited a gruff exterior, yet those who knew him recognized a caring, generous man who had unbounded love and loyality for his family and friends. A man of integrity, he had a well-founded sense of right and wrong, passing those traits to his children and grandchildren. He was deeply committed to his family and work, yet also pursued his past times of hunting and fishing, working equally hard at each of them. Bob left a lasting legacy on the people he touched during his lifetime.

Margreat Beatrice Layne
Margreat Beatrice Layne, 99, of Onalaska, died Thursday July 7, 2011, in Corrigan with family by her side. She was born January 24, 1912 in Kemp, Texas, the daughter of late Eva Clamon and Homer Corzine of Hortense. She was the oldest of 3 siblings. She raised her sister after the untimely passing of their mother in 1928. Margreat marriage Sam Hilton, they had one son, Earl Hilton. Sam was killed in 1940 in sawmill accident. She later marriage Bill Edwards. Bill died in 1975. She lived the life of a farm girl. She raised chickens, hogs, cattle, sold yard eggs. She lived a good life with Bill. Margreat marriage Harold Layne and they called Onalaska home. They shared their love of fishing and spent many years on the banks of Lake Livingston. She is survived by her sister, Zuma “Pat” Windham; son, Earl Hilton; grandchildren, Edward Earl, David and Donnie Hilton; great-grandchildren, Lila and husband Steve Ceaser, Paula Waller, Wendy and husband Donnie Hilton, Consandra Bates, Mark and Matthew Hilton; niece, Nicole Windham and husband Charles “Dobber” Beverly Jr. and many great-great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, in-laws and friends. Mr. Tucker was born on April 7, 1942 in Beaumont, Texas and passed away on July 7, 2011at his residence in Spring, Texas. He was previously a co-owner of the Gulf-Tex Valve Company and later worked for the Harris County Toll Road. He also worked at different times for Sam’s Club, the Rayon Company and the Chemco Company. He loved American country music, loved cattle and once owned his own herd, and he also enjoyed wood carving. He was a former member of the Jaycees and a Baptist by faith. He was a generous husband, father, grandfather and friend, and was also a good brother-in-law. He is preceded in death by his parents, O.D. and Betty (Schwab) Tucker, and brother, Todd Tucker.
He is survived by his wife: Ada Vee (Pope) Tucker of Spring, Texas; sons and daughters-in-law: David Kern and Karen Tucker II of Bulverde, Texas and J.J. and Janice Lovelace of The Woodlands, Texas; daughter: Dina Hassan of Deer Park, Texas; sister: Dana McGinnis of Plano, Texas, 8 grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ronald R. Stephenson, Sr
Ronald R. Stephenson, Sr., born, February 26, 1934 in Galveston, Texas and passed away on July 3, 2011 at the age of 77. Memorial Services are at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 9, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Joe McDonald officiating.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Cecilia, children, Debbie Frahm and husband Colin, Ronald R. Stephenson, Jr. and wife Trisha, Kim Keefer and husband Ray, Glenda Martin and husband Dale, and Kelly Stephenson. He also has 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Brothers, Dennis Stephenson and Barry Stephenson also survive.
After graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas, he worked at station KRLD while attending Southern Methodist University. He eventually transferred to the University of Houston where he graduated with a degree in Engineering. He worked for several petroleum companies in the Houston and Louisiana area. He retired from Petro United in 1999.
Ron loved to travel and has been to many different countries. By far though, his favorite way to travel was on cruise ships. He has been cruising since 1980 and was delighted to tell you stories of every port he had visited.
In Houston, he was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church for 40+ years. When he and his wife moved to Onalaska in 1995 he was instrumental in funding and building the Lake Livingston Lutheran Church. He then became a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Livingston, where he oversaw construction of their Fellowship Hall. He was an active Elder at First Presbyterian at the time of his death.
Ron was very involved in his community. He served as Vice President of the Polk County Fresh Water Supply District #2, was a past president of the local AARP and was an annual participant of the Relay For Life. He was loved by so many, and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Lessie Mae Lawrence, 79, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, July 7, 2011 at her residence in Livingston, TX. Lessie was born July 18, 1932 in Kountze, TX. She is survived by her daughters, Jenny Kingsbury and Annette Britton; son-in-law, Hurchel Britton; sister, Shirley Robin; grandson, Hurchel Britton, Jr., Jason Britton and Larry Brown; granddaughter, Sharna Brown; great granddaughters, Carry Clayton, Coey Door, Patience and Bethany Brown ; three great-great grandsons; numerous other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Drewcilla Mills Davis brothers, Elwood Davis, L.J. Davis, Charlie Davis and sister Dessie Cook. Visitation was held Saturday, July 9, 2011 from 5 to 8 PM. Services were held Sunday, July 10, 2011 at 2 PM at Pace Funeral Home with Chaplin Roy Barbe officiating, pallbearers were Jason Britton, Alan Britton, Warren Kelly, Charlie Jones and Wayne Kluge. Burial followed at Peebles Cemetery.
