Funeral services for Frances Marie Smiers, age 88, of Onalaska, Texas, will be Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Livingston, Texas with Father Clifton Labbe officiating. Interment will follow in the Houston National Cemetery in Houston, Texas at 1:00 PM. Visitation is Tuesday, August 9, 2011, from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM at the Cochran Funeral Home and a Rosary service will begin at 6:00 PM.
She was born December 23, 1922 in Houston, Texas the daughter of Joseph Vallone and Mary Viola Vallone and on August 3, 2011, she was reunited with her husband, Edward L. Smiers, Sr. and eldest son, Edward L Smiers, Jr. At the time of her homegoing, she was surrounded by her sons and several grandchildren.
Frances is survived by James L. Smiers, son, of Houston, Texas, Leslie J. Smiers and wife Patricia, son and daughter-in-law, of Austin, Texas, Larry G. Smiers and wife Karen, son and daughter-in-law, of Houston, Texas, Thomas Smiers, son, of Onalaska, Texas, grandchildren, Edward C. Smiers, James Smiers, Lindsay Smiers Moehle, Christina Smiers Knight and husband Christopher, Tamara Smiers Rogers and husband Jonathan, Christina Cole, great grandchildren, Abigail Bible, Monica Smiers, Marcella Smiers, Eddie Moehle, Cameron Moehle, Christian Knight, Macie Rogers, Trevor Knight. Kenneth Harlen Williams
Funeral Services for Kenneth Harlen Williams, 76, of Livingston will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 7, 2011, at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston. The Rev. Harold Isaacs will be officiating and interment will follow in the Menard Chapel Cemetary.
He was born August 24, 1934 in Baytown, Texas and died Wednesday, August 3, 2011 in Livingston. Kenneth graduated from Livingston High School in 1953 and attended Henderson County Jr. College in Athens, Tx. and Texas A&I University in Kingsville, Tx. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and will always be remember by his family for his love of the great outdoors in East Texas.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara McIntyre Williams; his parents, Roy L. Williams and Verna Price Williams; a brother, LeMoyne Williams; and a sister, Joy Nell Jackson.
Kenneth is survived by Kenneth and Lisa Williams, Jr., son and daughter-in-law, of Pasadena, Tx.; Richard Williams, son, of Deer Park, Tx.; Sheila McMillian, daughter, of Waynesboro, Va.; Donald and Sherril Williams, brother and sister-in-law, of Livingston, Tx.; seven grandchildren, Kyle Williams, Kent Williams, Dawn Wright, Autumn Manns, Vail McMillian, Crystal Jensen, and Ashley Williams; five great grandchildren, Madison Williams, Natalie Williams, Grace Williams, Avery Williams, Abigail Jensen and numerous other relatives and friends.

Mrs. McWilliams was born February 6, 1933 in Paris, Kentucky and passed away July 3, 2011 in the Trinity Mission Health and Rehabilitation of Diboll, Texas. Mrs. McWilliams was a housewife and a member of the Union Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Corrigan, Texas. She is remembered for enjoying the Christmas season with her husband at the Union Springs Missionary Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband: Frank E. McWilliams; parents: Will and Irene (Zimmerman) Garrison; sons: Duane Holt and John McWilliams.

Amelou S. Edwards
Amelou S. Edwards, 68, of Livingston, TX was born in Shreveport, LA went to be her with the Lord on August 29, 2011 at MD Anderson Medical Center in Houston. Amelou loved animals even had a cat named Speckles, she also loved the outdoors and did paintings. Mrs. Amelou Edwards graduated from St. Vincient Academy in Shreveport, LA in 1961. She received a B.A. from Louisiana State University in 1965 where she was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority.
After graduation she started her career in Houston with the Coca Cola Foods Division. She was employed there for 10 years and retired as Retail Sales Accounting Manager in 1975. She was a loving wife, companion, and best friend to her husband of 44 years, Larry Edwards. She is also survived by her nephew Jay and spouse Melissa Freeman of Katy, TX; a niece Noel and spouse Mark Mathery of Houston, TX.
She is preceded in death by her father and mother J.W. and Genevieve Stacey Freeman and brother, J. Stacey Freeman. Celebration of Life was held Saturday, September 3, 2011, 3:30 PM at Pace Funeral Home. A reception followed the Memorial Services at the Rolling Hills Restaurant. Pace Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She was born February 9, 1914 in Smith County, Texas the daughter of Ode Jacobs and Mae Shekelford Jacobs and passed away on September 4, 2011 in Livingston, Texas at Pine Ridge Health Care Center. She is preceded in death by parents, Ode Jacobs and Mae Shekelford Jacobs, husband of 54 years, Emmett “Jimbo“ Nelson, son, Delaney Galloway, all of her brothers and sisters and an infant daughter, Linda Grace Nelson.
Mrs. Nelson Moved to Polk County with her family at the age of 3, and lived in the Providence Community for many years. She became a member of the Providence Baptist Church at a young age. She marriage Emmett “Jimbo” Nelson on June 13, 1936, and shared over 45 happy years in his ministry to Baptist Churches, until his death in 1990.
She taught Sunday School and served in various WMA offices in a number of churches including First Baptist, Livingston, where she was member until her death. Mrs. Nelson’s entire life was built on faith in God and serving him through his church.
Ruby is survived by Emmett Nelson, son, of Nolanville, Texas, Jimmie and James Forrest, daughter and son-in-law, of Huntington, Texas, Wanda Galloway, daughter-in-law, of Cleveland, Texas, grandchildren, Laneye Henderson, Lisa Millard, Leslie Galloway, all of Cleveland, Texas, Brad Forrest, Mark Forrest, Gwen Reynolds, all of Huntington, Texas, and Adam Nelson, of Austin, Texas, 16 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren, Doris Nelson, sister-in-law, of Cleveland, Texas. Barbara Francelle Hochgraber
Barbara Francelle Hochgraber was born on February 7, 1925 in Dallas, TX and went home to Heaven on September 22, 2011 in Corrigan, TX. Her parents were William Barney Cothran and Sarah Abbiegale Wren Cothran. She lived in Freestone, TX where she graduated as valedictorian in 1941. The family moved to Houston in December 1941. She met and marriage James Alston in 1943. They had four children, one of whom is deceased, James Alston, Jr., Mary Kay French, and David Alston. Later in life she marriage Milton Hochgraber in 1979 and they were marriage for 28 years; after she Milton retired they traveled to 44 states in their travel trailer prior to moving into the Escapees Camp Ground in 1994 and then to a final home in the Blanchard community, before he went home to Heaven on May 3, 2008. She had nine grandchildren, one of whom is deceased, and several great-grandchildren. Francelle became a Christian in 1947 and served her Lord by teaching Sunday school and witnessing to others. She enjoyed playing “42” and putting jigsaw puzzles together. Her favorite color was red, as will be affirmed by her burial clothes. She is preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Cheryl Alston, and two sisters. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. followed by the Celebration of Life at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel at Pace Funeral Home with Rev. Randal Whitt officiating. Burial at Garden Park Cemetery in Conroe, Texas.

George Day Jr was born on April 13, 1937 in Votaw, TX to parents George Washington Day and Ida Mae Day. He passed away September 22, 2011 in Lufkin Texas.
George is survived by his wife Helen Day of 52 Years and two children Nancy Cassel and Husband David Cassel, Jerry Day and Wife Dorothy Day and his two grandchildren Amy Hilton and Husband Tracy Hilton and Laci Day, Three great grandkids, Katie, Matthew and Amber Hilton all of Livingston, TX. He was a very Honorable man that loved his children, family and church (Charity Tabernacle upic.) He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 25 years and he also worked 10 years for TDCJ. He enjoyed his retirement life.
