Fred Alford will conduct the service. Gloria was born on June 29, 1930 in Bridgeport, OK to parents William W. Jones and Mabel Buckner Jones. She passed away on December 22, 2011, in Lubbock, TX. Gloria is formally of Livingston, TX and was preceded in death by her parents William Jones and Mabel Jones, and her brother, Bill Jones. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Georgena and Dana Mackey of Lubbock, TX and Joni and Steve Stevick of Lewisville, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Velma Jones of Livingston, TX; three grandsons, Craig Mackey, Kyle Mackey and Dustin Stevick; one granddaughter, Jennifer Holland; one great granddaughter, Nicole Mackey; and two great grandsons, Skyler Mackey and Rhyder Mackey. Funeral services for Helen Perkins, 84, of Corrigan, Texas, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2011 in the First Baptist Church in Corrigan, Texas with Bro. Robert Lankford officiating. Interment will follow in the L.H. and Helen Perkins Cemetery in Wakefield, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, Monday, December 26, 2011 in the Family Life Center of First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Perkins was born September 6, 1927 in Evansville, Indiana and passed away Friday, December 23, 2011 in Corrigan, Texas. She was a homemaker all of her life and a member of First Baptist Church of Corrigan, Texas. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. She is preceded in death by her husband, L.H. Perkins and parents, Charlie and Rosa (Johnston) Broadley.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Patricia and Kaywood Loving of Corrigan, Texas, Judy and Clyde Wright of Lufkin, Texas, Linda and Randy Juneau of The Woodlands, Texas; son and daughter-in-law: Joseph and Peggy Perkins of Corrigan, Texas; sister: Beverly Barclay of Florida; grandchildren: David Wright, Jason Wright, Kim Sharp, Kody Loving, Kasey Loving, Matthew Mahaffey, Kris Oglesby, Melesha LaRoche, Ruston Juneau, Moriah Juneau, Christina Dunkin, Charles Perkins, Marc Perkins; 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Trudie Jewell Miller, age 90, of Livingston, TX, passed away in Jasper, TX on December 22, 2011. She was born in Camden, TX on April 12, 1921, to parents, George W. and Essie Warren Cain. Mrs. Miller is preceded in death by her parents George and Essie Cain, two husbands, Ruben Rozell and A.D. Miller and brother, Clyde W. Cain. She is survived by daughter, Delores Palmer & husband Gordon Gold of Jasper, TX; two sons and daughters-in-law, George and Nan Rozell of Dickinson, TX and James and Linda Rozell of Conroe, TX; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; brother, Raymond “Buck” Cain and numerous nieces and nephews.

Milton “Peavine” Martin
Milton “Peavine” Martin, born January 4, 1938 in Barnes, Texas went home to his Heavenly Father on December 21, 2011 in Kingwood, Texas at the age of 73 years. He was a lifetime member of the community, employed with International Paper Company as a millwright for 25 years, and a faithful member of Central Baptist Church in Livingston. His loving family includes wife of 50 years, Karen Martin, two daughters, Sheryl Griffin and Wendy Willson and husband, Jimmy; sisters, Ettie M. Grillott, Betty McDonald and husband Jim, Elizabeth Bacon and husband Guy, Jeanette Stephenson and husband Teddy, and Mary Deville and husband Louis; three grandsons, Tyler Griffin, Daniel Kelley and Max Willson; granddaughter, Kristina Sumpter and numerous other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Alfred and Ila Martin, brothers, Merrill Martin, Charles Martin and Wayne Martin. Pallbearers are Steven Rice, Randy Burton, Clay Golden, Andy Watson, Dennis Bacon, Randy Bacon and John Deville.

Gary Wayne Schaefer, 63 of Livingston, Texas, went to be with the Lord, December 15, 2011. He was born January 27, 1948 in Horton, Kansas to Howard and Dorothy Schaefer. Mr. Schaefer was a proud veteran having served in the United States Air Force and a member of the Knights Of Columbus. He was a substitute teacher at the Livingston ISD. He is survived by his fiancé Teresa Carnahan; children, Gary W. Schaefer, Jr., Brian Schaefer, spouse Kinslei, Tracey Gartner, spouse Ken, Matthew Schaefer, spouse Sandi Jacobs; Brendan Schaefer; brothers Brett Schaefer, spouse Mari, Jon Schaefer, spouse Tina; sister Sandra Adams; six grandchildren. Preceding him in death are his parents. Visitation was from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Sunday, December 18, 2011 with a Rosary at 6:00 PM, at Pace Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mr. Schaefer were held Monday, December 19, 2011, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 11:00AM. Jason “COLE” Hollis, age 32 passed away December 18, 2011 in Houston, Texas. He lived life to the fullest, was willing to take risks and never backed away from any challenges. Cole possessed a charismatic personality and an infectious laugh. His smile and laughter will be missed.

James “Jim” Lewis Hayes

He was born July 14, 1932 in Diboll, Texas the son of Elbert Hayes and Ellen (Riley) Hayes and passed away December 15, 2011 in Groves, Texas.
After graduation Jim entered into the U.S. Marines. After he was discharged from the service he then went and worked in West Texas in the oilfields. He also worked in sales and was an auto salesman in or around Port Arthur, Groves area. He worked in oil refineries and owned and operated a vacuum repair and sales shop in Groves, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his Parents, Elbert Hayes and Ellen (Riley) Hayes, and his brother, Clayton Lee Hayes of Lufkin, Texas.
Jim is survived by Sons, Eric Hayes of Groves, Texas, and Paul Hayes of Huffman, Texas, Grandchildren, Nicholas Hayes of Louisiana, Gavin Paul Hayes of Huffman, Texas, and Erica Hayes of Groves, Texas, sisters, Mary Hayes Ashby of Bay City, Texas and Gloria Hayes Wise of Lake Jackson, Texas.
