Anjouil David, age 82 of Livingston, Texas, passed away on September 30, 2012 in Livingston, Texas. Anjouil was born on May 22, 1930 in Mansfield, Louisiana, to parents, Elias and Jennie Cox Monsour.

Anjouil is survived by her husband, James Harland David of Hortense, Texas; sons, James Michael David of Santa Fe, Texas, Gary David of Pasadena, Texas, and Steve David of Pasadena, Texas; daughter, Phyllis David of Cibolo, Texas; sister Maxine Benning of Mansfield, Louisiana; brothers, Paul Monsour of Columbus, Ohio, and Alex Monsour of Mississippi; six grandchildren, Leslie Nichols, Marina David, Baleigh David, Kiersta Garcia, Jessica Robuck, and Stephanie Curtis; six great-grandchildren, Cameron Nichols, Leila Garcia, Lainey Garcia, Johnathan Curtis, Luke Curtis, and Ella Curtis. She is preceded in death by both of her parents, Elias and Jennie Cox Monsour.

Visitation for Anjouil will be Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 6:00 PM at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at 2:00 PM at Feagin cemetery in Hortense, Texas. Kevin Wood will be officiating.

Reba Lucille Burke
Funeral services for Reba Lucille Burke, 85, of Houston, Texas, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 6, 2012 in the Corrigan Funeral Home Chapel in Corrigan, Texas with Bro. Orval Barger officiating. Interment icon will follow in the Ryan Chapel cemetery in Diboll, Texas. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 6, 2012 before the service, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Corrigan Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Burke was born May 14, 1927 in Fastrill, Texas and passed away Sunday, September 30, 2012 in Houston, Texas. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was known for her love of babies and animals. She is preceded in death by her parents: Ranzie Redd and Loutishia Holsomback Redd; daughter: Mary Burke; brothers and sisters: Edward Redd, Ranzie Redd, Flossie Burns, and Tiny Dool.

She is survived by her daughters: Doris Walker of Houston, Texas, Wanda Alfred of Corrigan, Texas, Diann Sangester of Katy, Texas; sons: Jimmy Burke of Diboll, Texas, Tony Burke of Lufkin, Texas; brother: Sherman Redd of Vanfleck, Texas; 30 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren: goddaughter: Katherine Burke of Fort Adkinson, Wisconsin, and numerous other nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Funeral services for George Kenneth Jones, age 81 of Livingston will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, Livingston, Texas. Pallbearers were Alex Jones, Travis Jones, Brad Prihoda, Kevin Murphy, Calvin Jones, and Derrick Holden Bro. Orval Barger and Bro Brett Lester officiated. Interment icon followed at Jones Prairie cemetery, in Leggett, Texas.

Kenneth passed away on September 28, 2012 in Houston Texas. He was born on October 14, 1930 in Conroe, Texas, to Thurman and Viola (Hopper) Jones. Kenneth is preceded in death by both of his parents and two aunts.

He is survived by his wife Dortha Lee Jones; two sons, Michael Jones and wife Judy of Seven Oaks, Texas and Randal Jones and wife Barbara of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Kari Prihoda and husband Brad of Conroe, Texas, Laci Murphy and husband Kevin of Spring, Texas, Alex Jones of Houston, Texas, and Travis Jones of Houston, Texas; great-grandchildren, Colin Prihoda, Sydney Prihoda of Conroe, Texas and Maddox, Mason, and Mikey Murphy of Spring, Texas; cousins, Barbara Norris and husband Bob of Spring, Texas and Diana Coffer of Spring, Texas; numerous other relatives and friends.

Janice Ann Morton, 53 of Livingston, Texas passed away on October 13, 2012, in Livingston, Texas. Janice was born November 20, 1958, in Miami, Florida to parents Richard and Carol Winters, both of whom predecease her. Janice is survived by her husband, Stephen Morton, of Livingston, Texas, along with two daughters: Leah Vick of Spring, Texas and Katherine Morton, of Livingston, Texas.

Joan Colista (Gray) Culpepper

Joan Colista (Gray) Culpepper, age 75 of Onalaska, Texas passed away on October 12, 2012, in Livingston, Texas. Memorial Serviceswill be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Livingston First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Fred Huff and David Johnson officiating.

Mrs. Culpepper was born on September 18, 1937, in Ulysses, Kansas to parents, Stanley and Colista Gray, who predecease her, along with her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Claude and Mattie Riggs; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tommy and Grace Culpepper.

Mrs. Culpepper is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jeff Culpepper of Onalaska, Texas; her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Tommy Hall of Baytown, Texas; her son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Susan Culpepper of Stephenville, Texas; her brother and sister-in-law, Lynn and Susan Gray of Schulenburg, Texas; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Leon and Fay Cone of Dayton, Texas; five grandchildren: Jeanna Brockman, Timothy Brockman, Ashley Culpepper, Merideth Culpepper and Morgan Culpepper; numerous nieces and nephews; and several other family and friends.

Interment icon will follow the services in the Peebles cemetery in Livingston. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 12, 2012 from 5:00 PM-10:00 PM at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel. Pallbearers for the services will be Eric Hagmeyer, Chris Reed, Jeremy Reed, Alex Reed, Keshaun Grant and Marcus Ojeda. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of his Poker Buddies.

He was born January 7, 1942 in Huntsville, Texas to parents, Simon Flores and Rafelia Valdez and passed away on October 9, 2012 in Livingston. Alex is preceded in death by his parents, Simon Flores and Rafelia Valdez; brother, Raymond Flores; sister, Mary Ann Simon; great grandson, Jeremy Ashton Reed.

Alex is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Julie Ann and Gary Reed, of Ringgold, Louisiana; daughter, Angela Flores, of Shreveport, Louisiana; son, Michael Lane Flores, of Livingston; son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Lee Flores, of Conroe; daughter, Denise Flores, of Houston; eleven grandchildren, Eric, Chris, Jeremy, Alex, Alicia, Amber, Alexis, Cody, Chelsea, Spencer and Keshaun; seven great grandchildren, Erica Ann, Jewell, Jeremy, Karson, Jayce, Kaydence and Bryson; sisters, Julia Duke, Virginia Taylor, Rosa Hollis, Louise Fernandez, Frances Flores, Delores Redden, Kathy Fernandez and Gloria Flores; sister-in-law, Ann Flores; numerous other relatives and friends.

Emory Carroll Watts, Jr.
May 18, 1964 to October 9, 2012

Emory Carroll Watts, Jr., age 48 of Livingston, Texas, passed away in Houston, Texas, on October 9, 2012. He was born on May 18, 1964, in Pasadena, Texas, to Emory C. Watts Sr., and La Joyce Locke Watts.

Emory is survived by his wife, Jennifer Watts of Livingston; parents, Emory and La Joyce Watts of Livingston; daughter and son-in-law, Brittany and Brandon Gaston of Montgomery; son, Ryan Wade Watts of Livingston; grandson, Hayden Gaston of Montgomery; sister and brother-in-law, Terresa & Rocky Langston of Livingston; brother and sister-in-law, Rodney and Chris Watts of Livingston; grandmother, Edith Watts of Livingston; three nephews, Brady Langston, Will Langston, Brett Hebert all of Livingston; a niece and her husband, Chelsea and Thomas Siercks of Huntsville; numerous other relatives; and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 12, 2012, at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston. The services will be conducted by Bro. Kevan Wood. Pallbearers are: Petey Thomas, Wade Evans, Gill Y‘Barbo, Bobby Cox, Jr., Tim Moseley, T.B. Stutts, Charlie Locke, Billy Sam Locke, Kane Carpenter and Mark Smith. Honorary pallbearer are Tina Schoubroek, Brandon Gaston, Rocky Langston, Brady Langston, Will Langston and Brett Hebert. Internment will be held at Bold Springs cemetery in Livingston, following the chapel service.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM on Thursday, October 11, 2012, at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston.

Hilda Marie Martin

Hilda Marie Martin, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on October 6, 2012 in Livingston, Texas. Marie was born on January 31, 1931 in Rosanky, Texas, the daughter of Robert Albert Murphy and Willie Mae Horton Murphy. Marie graduated from Smithville High School in the class of 1948. Soon after graduation from high school, Marie married William Jacobson, and they had two girls, Janice and Katherine. William was killed in an auto accident in April 1953. In January of 1958, Marie became the loving wife of Jerry Glenn Martin, and they have shared over fifty-four wonderful years together. Jerry was a member of the U.S. Air Force, and as a military wife, she traveled a lot, living in France, Italy, and several different places in the states.

Marie's lifelong dream was to become a nurse, and after several years of study and work, she graduated from Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, Texas with her degree as a registered nurse. She worked for several years in the emergency room of Spohn Hospital in Kingsville, Texas. After moving to Livingston in 1993, she worked at the old Livingston Memorial Hospital in the emergency room.

Marie and Jerry moved to Livingston from Kingsville, Texas, and built their home on the lake so Marie could fish. She and her dog Molly would be on the pier all night when the fish were biting.

Marie and Jerry are members of First United Methodist Church of Goodrich where she enjoyed the worship and rich fellowship of the members. She loved the gatherings with her extended church family and playing bridge at church on Thursday mornings. Marie loved giving back to the community by volunteering at the Polk County Mission. She was a member of the Polk County Republican Club and attended four Texas State Republican Conventions. She was a member of the Livingston chapter of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father and two brothers, Ben Murphy and Charles Ray Murphy. She is survived by her husband, Jerry, and five children: Janice Martin, Katherine Watson, Rebecca Martin, Jerry Martin Jr. and wife Jan, Lisa Fitzgerald and her husband Denny, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren, and her brother Lloyd Murphy.

There will be a Memorial Service in celebration of her life at the First Methodist Church Goodrich, Texas at 10:30 AM on Friday, Oct 12, 2012.

In lieu of flowers, Marie's family request that donations be made in her name to the Polk County Mission, First United Methodist Church of Goodrich or a charity of your choice. Pace Funeral Home is in charge of services.

CAROLYN BETH STUTTS
August 4, 1951 to October 10, 2012

Carolyn Beth Stutts, age 61 of Rye, Texas, passed away on October 10, 2012, in Rye, Texas. She was born on August 4, 1951, in Kountze, Texas, to parents, Bud and Marquerite Roundtree. Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Burns. She is survived by her husband, Robert Stutts of Rye; son, Kevin Roundtree of Huntsville; Becky Harkey of Rye; and son, Jason Harkey of Lamesa, Texas; seven grandchildren, Chelsea, Shawn, Star, Makala, Leslie, Jessie and Katlyn; two sisters, Gwen Lee and Ettalie Brown.

The family will received friends at a visitation on Sunday, October 14, 2012, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas.

Delores Ann Garrett

Delores Ann Garrett was born on December 22, 1930 in Hemphill, Texas to Willy Watson Franklin and Viola Parnell. She passed away on October 8, 2012 in Beaumont, Texas at the age of 81 years. Delores is survived by daughter, Cindy Kay Hyden and husband James; brothers, Jerry Wayne Franklin and wife Donna, Douglas Earhart and wife Connie; sisters, Elaine Giddins, Betty Jo Burkett and husband Homer; preceded in death by husband Thomas Garrett; brother Sonny Franklin; sisters, Janie Tapping, and Wanda Easter; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of friends. Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Pace Funeral Home.

John “Jack” Newbould

John “Jack” Newbould, passed away on October 6, 2012. Jack was born on October 1, 1939 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Arthur Newbould Sr. and Margaret Clarke. Jack is survived by his loving wife, Rosemarie being married just short of 50 years; Sister, Ann Newbould of Onalaska, Texas; Brothers, Robert Newbould and wife Sharon of League City, Texas, James Newbould and wife LaJohna of Livingston, Texas. He is preceded in death by both his parents; sister; Margie Butler of Houston, Texas, brothers; Arthur Newbould Jr. of Palacios, Texas, Thomas Newbould of Houston, Texas, and Richard Newbould of Houston, Texas.

Jack was in the United States Army for 22 years; retired in 1979 as a SFC E-7; served 1 tour in Vietnam during 1966 - 1967. After leaving the service started a “Hot-Shot” business and continued this occupation until his retirement.

Visitation will be on Thursday, October 11, 2012 from 5-9 PM at Pace Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas with a rosary beginning at 6PM.

A Celebration of Jack’s Life will be held on Friday, October 12, 2012 beginning at 10:00 AM at the Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church in Livingston, Texas with Reverend Clifton Labbe, S.V.D. officiating. Interment icon will be at the Houston National cemetery in Houston, Texas on Monday, October 15, 2012 at 12:30 PM.

Ronald Lee Collard
December 5, 1939-October 8, 2012

Ronald Lee Collard, age 72, of Livingston, was born December 5, 1939 in Brook, Indiana to parents, Edmund J. Collard and Dorothy N. Parks. He later met and courted his sweetheart, Solita Ann South. On June 7, 1975 they were joined in holy union as husband and wife in Thayer, Indiana.

He joined the United States Air Force and served this nation during the Vietnam war. Ronald worked while he was in the Air Force as the Aircraft Maintenance Superintendent and it was there that he spent twenty-four years of service. He was out of the service for six months and later went to work for the civil service for another twenty years doing the same job as he did in the Air Force. He was a loving husband and father and passed away on October 8, 2012 at his home in Livingston, Texas.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Solita Collard, of Livingston; daughter and son-in-law, Monette Sue and Sean Hayes; daughter, Rhonda Lee Mardis; son and daughter-in-law, Bret E. and Nyna Burright; daughter, Cindy D. Burright; daughter and son-in-law, Brigitte L. and James Baucum; son and daughter-in-law, Clinton and Rebel Taylor; twenty grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Melody and Stony Brooks, of Lake Village, Indiana; sister, Carolyn Wicks, of Crawfordville, Indiana; brother, Buddy Parks, of Monticello, Indiana; nephew, Jeffrey Zak and wife, Denise and numerous other relatives and friends.

William Ray Smith “Bill”
October 4, 1946 - October 6, 2012

William Ray Smith, age 66 of Livingston, Texas, passed away on October 6, 2012, in Livingston, Texas. He was born October 4, 1946, in Livingston, Texas, to parents William Rozy and Minnie Ray Robbinson Smith.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents, William and Minnie Robbinson Smith; wife, Patricia Smith; brother, James David Smith; and the mother of his children, Mary Elaine Thomas. William is survived by son and daughter-in-law, William Ray Jr. and Karen Smith, of Streetman, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jo and Michael Jackson, of Livingston, Texas; son, Dennis Allen Smith, of Jerome, Idaho; granddaughter, Kari Ann Smith, of Streetman, Texas; grandson, Matthew Clayton Jackson, of Livingston, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Billy Jack and Brenda Smith, of Livingston, Texas.

Helen Jeanne Cates

Helen Jeanne Cates 71, of Pointblank, Texas passed away on September 28, 2012. Helen was born to Edward Stone and Dorothy Vancleve in Delevan, Illinois on December 30, 1940. She is survived by her loving husband Donald Cates. Three children; Denise Moore and husband Chad, Stephanie Macy and husband Kerry, Gregory Scott Cates and wife Shelly. Grandchildren, Arianna Cecco, Gabriella Cecco, Chad Lemaire, Jillian Lemaire, Makayla Lemaire, Justin Palermo, Christian Musachia, Cash Weston Cates. Brother, Jerry L. Stone; sister, Donna Lane. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John David Stone and sister, Sandra Stone.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on October 23, 2012 at 700 Cook Jones Road inside Holiday Villages at the Club House.
