James “Butch” Williamson
December 8, 1946 - January 31, 2013
James “Butch” Williamson, age 66, formerly of Pasadena, Texas, passed away on January 31, 2013 in Livingston, Texas. James was born on December 8, 1946 in Winnfield, Louisiana, to parents, James David and Sybil Hatten Williamson.
James is preceded in death by both of his parents and his sister, Margaret Louise Williamson. He is survived by his brother, David Williamson, of Dallas, Texas; brother, Charles Williamson, of La Porte, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Charlie Stephens, of Livingston, Texas; brother, Bobby Williamson, of Hebron, Louisiana; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
A private family service will be held in Winnfield, Louisiana at a later date.

Ernest Luvern Seward
Ernest Luvern Seward born on July 7, 1946 in Coden, Alabama to Calvin Woodrow Sr. and Matilda Liza Collier passed away on January 31, 2013 at the age of 66. Ernie is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Barbara; son, Ricky Shane Seward and wife Adron; daughter, April Seward Scott and husband Gerald; grandchildren; Norrislee Seward, Corey Scott, Brandi Scott, Kolin Seward, Shayna Scott, Brooke Findley, Calvin Seward, Autumn Findley and Britnie Findley; numerous other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sandy Seward and two brothers. Ernie’s favorite past time was to hunt and fish. He loved his grandchildren very much. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Pace Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M. A celebration of Ernie’s Life will begin at 12:00 A.M. also at Pace Funeral Home with Bro. George L. Smith, age 77 of Livingston, Texas, passed away on January 30, 2013. George was born on July 2, 1935, in Houston, Texas, to parents Clifford E. and Ruth Jordan Smith.
George is preceded in death by both of his parents. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Paul Ray and Carla Smith, of Spring, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Martha Ann and Phil Wall, of Livingston, Texas; granddaughter and husband, Jessica and Zachary Swope, of Spring, Texas; granddaughter and husband, Shawna and Wayne Babcock, of Livingston, Texas; grandson and wife, Gabriel and Tara Wall, of Livingston, Texas; great-grandchildren, Zachary Randall, Andrew Randall, Kaitlyn Wall, Jonathan Wall, and Keira Babcock; along with a host of friends. Pallbearers will be, Gabriel Wall, Wayne Babcock, Zachary Randall, Andrew Randall, John Tims, and Jim Fuller. Honorary pallbearers include, his Sunday school class at First Baptist Church of Providence and Gerald Stringer.
George was a member of First Baptist Church of Providence. He never met a stranger and will be dearly missed.
Services for George L. Smith will be held Saturday, February 2, 2013, at 11:00 AM, at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas. Interment
will be held Monday, February 4, 2013, at 2:00 PM, at Brookside Memorial Park in Houston, Texas. Rev. Shane Norcross will be officiating the service.
A visitation will be held Friday, February 1, 2013, at 5:00 PM, also at Cochran Funeral Home.

William Wydale McAbee III
October 3, 1978 - January 28, 2013
A memorial service will be held for William “Bill” McAbee III held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Cochran Funeral Home with Reverend Phillip Larsen presiding. A private interment will follow at a later date.
Bill was born on October 3, 1978 in Pomona, California. He passed away Monday, January 28, 2013.
Bill graduated from Livingston High School. Upon graduating, he enlisted in the US Army where his love of firearms, and his expertise, blossomed. He was awarded the Expert Infantry Badge as well as several other citations. After completing his Army commitments, Bill enlisted in the US Air Force where he worked his way up to crew chief on an A-10 Thunderbolt (Warthog) Squadron. He served a tour of duty in Iraq and spent a year in Korea at Osan Air Force Base.
After retiring from the Air Force with a medical disability due to a service related back injury, Bill settled down to being a full time husband and father. He started an online security business “McAbee Defense” and taught his daughters to shoot. Bill was a dedicated family man whose greatest pleasures in life involved hanging out with his wife, daughters, and son. He was a friend to many and always treasured the relationships he had developed while in the military.
Those grieving his loss include his wife and best friend, Shannon; his loving daughters, Autumn and Trinity; his son, William IV; his Mother and Dad, Kathy and Larry Alexander; Father and Step-Mother, William and Jeri McAbee; beloved brother, Kristopher McAbee; niece and nephew, Ava and Finn McAbee, grandmother, Rose Marie Griffin; grandmother, Betty Wood; great uncle, Robert Griffin; special cousins, Anthony and Dusty Boyer and Jenn Smith; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and loved ones.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Graveside Services for George Dent Shepherd, 62, of Corrigan, Texas will be held Saturday February 2, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in the Damascus cemetery in Corrigan, Texas with Pastor Curtis Jordan and Pastor Ralph Johnston officiating.
Mr. Shepherd was born June 3, 1950 in Texas City, Texas and passed away on January 28, 1013 in Lufkin, Texas. He worked as an Inspector in Non-Destructive Testing and was a Baptist by faith. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his dog Ajax. He is preceded in death by his parents: Donnis F. Shepherd and Helen L. (Dent) Shepherd.

Donna Kaye Smart-Radcliffe born on January 19, 1971 to Charles Wayne Smart & Micheal Elaine Sanders in Houston, Texas entered into eternal rest in the arms of our Lord and Savior on January 14, 2013 at the age of 41.
Donna is survived by her loving husband, Rhett Radcliffe; her cherished children, Taran and Gabrielle Radcliffe; her grieving parents. James was a veteran in the United States Army having served in WWII. George “Smitty” Smith III

George “Smitty” Smith, age 69 of Livingston, Texas, passed away in Baytown, Texas on January 27th, 2013. He was born on May 30th, 1943, in Seguin, Texas, to parents George P. Smith, Jr. and Jonnie Baldwin Smith. Smitty served our country and then retired from the U.S Air Force.
Smitty was preceded in death by his father, George P. Smith, Jr.; son, George “Bubba” Smith; and daughter, Michelle Smith. He is survived by his wife, Susie Smith of Livingston, Texas; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Malinda and Kenny Harrell of Mesa, Arizona, Ruth Ann and Robert Alston of Leesville, Louisiana, Rachel Hodges of Ft. Worth, Texas and Kristen Smith of Livingston, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, George “Buddy” & Laura Gunn of Jackson, Missouri; mother, Jonnie Smith of Crosby, Texas; brother & sister-in-law, Michael and Angie Smith of Crosby, Texas; and seven grandchildren, Samantha Harrell, Bo Alston, Trent Alston, Haley Gunn, Cambreigh Matlock, Connor Matlock and Jude Hodges.

Payton Earcle Vaughn, age 73, of Onalaska, Texas, passed away in Conroe Regional Hospital in Conroe, Texas on March 10, 2013. He was born on August 26, 1939, in Lufkin, Texas, to parents William Vaughn and Mary Buckhalter Vaughn. Payton married
Joyce Lee Harris in Polk County, Texas. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard.
Payton is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joyce; daughter, Cindy Weller, sister Laverne Johnson; and two brothers, J.E. Vaughn and A.B. Vaughn. Faith Haston Castor was born on June 15, 1937 in Woodbury, New Jersey to her parents, Wallace Geitz and Betty (Schoal) Geitz and passed away in Livingston on March 11, 2013. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Beth Beader. Her survivors include her husband, Linford “Jake” Castor, of Livingston and her son, Keith A. Castor, of Tolleson, Arizona. Numerous other relatives and friends, also survive.
Memorial Services for Faith Castor, age 75, of Livingston will be held at 6:00 PM, Sunday, March 17, 2013 at the Central First Baptist Church of Livingston with Bro. Mike Meadows conducting the services.

Elmeta Marie Brock, age 86 of Onalaska, Texas, passed away on March 7, 2013, in Conroe, Texas. She was born on September 22, 1926 in Wilburton, Oklahoma, to parents Ben and Lovina Wheeler Newberry.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wesley Brock, sister and brother-in-law, Elfreeda and Bob Allen. Elmeta is survived by daughter, Donna Brock of Onalaska, Texas; grandson, Michael Haynes, of Angleton; grandson, Steven Haynes, of Galveston; granddaughter, Courtney Wurz and husband, Ryan, of Magnolia; great granddaughter, Madison Pryor, of Spring; great grandson, Braden Haynes, of Angleton; great grandson, Austin Wurz, of Magnolia; great grandson, Riley Wurz, of Magnolia; brother and sister-in-law, R.B. and Sandi Newberry, of Bastrop. Mr. Adams was born June 14, 1922 in Moscow, Texas to the late Sidney Fox Adams and Flavilla Adams and passed away Friday, March 8, 2013 in a hospital in Lufkin, Texas. He was a 1950 graduate of the first law class at the University of Houston. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was of the Methodist faith. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy in WWII as a Pharmacist Mate on the USS Wharton. He served as the Polk Commissioner Pct. 3 and was a surveyor for W.T. Carter for many years. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Nadine Adams.
Mr. Adams is survived by his children: Sidney Fox Adams II and wife Mona of Diboll, Texas, John Quincy Adams and wife Ramona of Rustin, Louisiana, Theresa Adams Rivera of Corrigan, Texas; grandchildren: Heather Nicholson Davis and Cameron Adams; great granddaughter: Lanna Davis; sisters-in-law: Mary Thomas and Shirley Hefley; brothers-in-law: Shelton Hefley and Calvin Hefley; and numerous other relatives and friends.
