Evelyn had a natural passion and enthusiasm for life that fueled everything she did, whether it was cooking a great meal, taking on a new crafts project or helping a friend or family member in need. Her spectacular front-yard flowers and plants were always her artwork. She was just as passionate about animals, whether wild ones, her pets, or even neighborhood strays she’d often help. She was politically active as well, especially fighting for clean, safe water and other environmental issues.
A born nurturer and caretaker, she was the best friend you could hope for, an ideal grandmother and a second “Mom” to so many. We’re proud of the life she led and thankful for how she taught us to love.
Her wish was to be cremated. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society of the US, the recipient of the last check she ever wrote.
