William Ernest “Bill” Morgan
July 20, 1917 - May 27, 2013
William Ernest “Bill” Morgan passed away at age 95 on May 27, 2013, in Tomball, Texas. He was born on July 20, 1917, in Utica, New York. He was a resident of Ace, Texas.
William is preceded in death by his wife, Ethel E. Morgan. He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many lifelong friends.
Bill was an avid Bowler and loved the casinos. He was an employee of Houston Light and Power Co. for 42 years. He also served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Services will be held Thursday, May 30, 2013, at 10:00 AM, at Cochran Funeral Home, in Livingston. Interment
will be at 2:30 PM, that afternoon, at Forest Park Lawndale cemetery. Worship Leader Anna Marion will be officiating the service.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at 5:00 PM, also at Cochran Funeral Home.

Charles Ray West, age 73 of Moscow, Texas, passed away on May 24, 2013, in Livingston. Charles was born on November 6, 1939, in Livingston, to parents, Oscar Jessie and Mary Magdaline Bird West. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956 -1957.
Charles is preceded in death by both of his parents; brothers, Ira Lee West, James C. West, and Oscar Junior West; and sister, Evelyn Bender. He is survived by wife, Jaquita West, of Moscow; sister-in-law, Mary Eaton, of Carthage; brother-in-law, Billy Eaton, of Cushing; sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Pete Rains, of Livingston; sister-in-law, Betty Everett, of Tennessee; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Butch and Diane Eaton, of Conroe; brother-in-law, Robert Eaton, of Arkansas; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Charles will be escorted to his grave by pallbearers, Jimmy Bender, Charles Bender, Michael Rains, Stacy Rains, Stephen Moye, and Anthony Eaton.
Services for Charles Ray West will be held Monday, May 27, 2013, at 11:00 AM, at Cochran Funeral Home, in Livingston. Bro. Danny Moye will be officiating the service. Interment
will follow at Magnolia cemetery, in Onalaska.

Janet Sue Owens, age 67 of Goodrich, Texas, passed away in Livingston, on May 23, 2013. She was born on May 16, 1946, in Dallas, Texas, to parents, James and Juanita Salter Cherry.
Janet is preceded in death by both of her mother and father. She is survived by her husband, Chip Owens, of Goodrich, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Rick Bodnar, of Goodrich, Texas; daughter, Destiny Kennedy, of Livingston, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Sara Owens, of Goodrich, Texas; daughter and partner, Mandi Owens and Kristie Reed, of Santa Fe, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Micheal and Jennie Owens, of Dallardsville, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Morgan and Maggie Akin, of Bakersfield, California; brother, Johnny Glenn, of Cumberland, Maryland; parents, Lonnie and Shirley Glenn, of Rye, Texas; grandchildren, Kristi Mitchell, Clint and Kaylah Mitchell, Kelli and Mark Allen, Kortni and Doug Florence, Sarah Kennedy, Evan Kennedy, Corbin Owens, Bailey Van Meter, Chasitie, Jadyn, Cadyn, and Chloe Langley, Jacob Reed, and Kelli Derrick; great-grandchild, Katie Sue Bodnar, and Kayslee on the way.
Janet was an L.I.S.D bus driver for several years, and treated each child as her own. She was always upbeat, positive, and lively. She loved nature, fishing, and bird watching. She was also very artistic and creative; whether it be making cards, wood crafts, or home décor. Janet especially loved cooking and experimenting with new recipes. Most importantly, she loved her family and was a second mom to all.
Janet will be escorted to her grave by pallbearers, Mark Allen, Doug Florence, Clint Mitchell, Evan Kennedy, Corbin Owens, Darrell Mitchell, Keith Gray, Karl Gray, John Noles, Gerald Munson, James Hargrave, Steve Jefferson, Darrell Faust, and T.J. Light. Honorary pallbearers will be the L.I.S.D Transportation Department.

Coy is preceded in death by both of his parents and his nephew, Derick Anderson. He is survived by daughters, Holly Blankenship and Audrey Blankenship, both of Ft. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Edward Dale Carter and Bobbie Jean Parham Carter, and his sister, Peggy Cherry. He is survived by his son, William Andrew Carter; daughters, Brandy White and Lecie; siblings, Shirley Hooks, Albert Dale Carter, Betty Carter, Bobbie Young, and Connie Griggs.
He was a friend of many and will be missed and loved by all.

Bob Bryant
Bob Bryant born on August 4, 1926 in Lonoke, Arkansas to Marion Roy and Zola Mae Bryant, passed away on July 13, 2013 at the age of 86. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Dorothy Young Bryant; daughters, Sharon Gourley and husband Jim of Wisconsin and Michelle Freese and husband Glenn of Arizona; son, Michael Bryant and fiancée Melia Richey of Rowlett, Texas; grandchildren, Shenafa Kenny, James Gourley, Cory Freese, Erin Freese, Chase Bryant and Megan Bryant; great grandchildren, Samatha Kenny, Wyatt Kenny and Conner Freese; sister, Thelma Marshall of Kentucky; numerous other relatives and a host of friends. Bob lived in North Little Rock, Arkansas and graduated from North Little Rock high school. He joined the United States Navy and served in the Pacific from 1944 to 1946 during World War II. Bob was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Pasadena, Texas having earned his Thirty Second Degree Mason.

A Celebration of Bob’s life will be on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Onalaska, Texas beginning at 10:00 AM with Reverend Don Wilkey officiating. LeRoy Gates, age 78, of Livingston, Texas, passed away on July 14, 2013. He was born on June 16, 1935, in Crockett, Texas, to his mother, Allie E. Gates. On July 10, 1954, he married
his best friend Vaudene (Smith) in New Willard, Texas. They moved to Livingston and attended worship services at The Church By Christ Jesus. LeRoy was an A/C man by trade and a skilled electrician. He was very much involved with helping with the youth and Coached Little League Baseball. He loved this very much.
He is preceded in death by his mother; three brothers, Billy Gates, Douglas Gates and David Currie; sister, Betty Wood and his grandfather, Joshua Gates. James F. Duncan born September 1, 1920 to William S. and Frances Adel Lloyd Duncan in Dallas, Texas passed away on July 7, 2013 at the age of 92. James is survived by his loving wife Billie of 66 years. daughters, Janet Yarbrough, Debbie Fisher and husband Patrick; brother, William Duncan and wife Markie; grandchildren, Michael Fisher, Curtis Fisher and Andrea Jomaa; numerous other relatives and a host of friends. James is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Donna Jomaa; brother, David Donald Duncan.
James was in the United States Navy having served in World War II. He was a former member of First United Methodist Church in Onalaska, Texas. James was a member of many bowling leagues throughout the years. A Celebration of James’s Life was held on July 11, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Boldsprings cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Mr. Marshall was born November 24, 1929 in the Barnum Community in Polk County, Texas and passed away Monday, July 8, 2013 at Castle Pines Nursing Home in Lufkin, Texas. He was a faithful and dedicated member of Palestine Missionary Baptist Church in Chester, Texas. He was employed with Chester Colored School, Palestine Community as a bus driver for many years. He worked with his family in The Marshall Logging and Sugar Cane business. He was also employed with Barnes Meat & Packing Company. He retired from Owens-Illinois in Jasper, Texas. God blessed him with a beautiful voice which he used to serve the Lord all his life. He is preceded in death by his parents: Gus and Bertha (McQueen) Marshall; brothers: Willie Lee, Clayton, R.C., Gus Jr., Edell, Tommie Graham and Luke Graham; sisters: Naona Darden, Anna Lee Bean, Arzetta Brown, Inez Freeman, Iona Hicks and Lettie Fisher; son: Gus L.
