Mabel Maudine Chandler

Mabel Maudine Chandler, born on February 23, 1926 in Kosse, Texas to C.L. Wilson and Rosa M. Winfield Wilson, passed away on June 7, 2014 at the age of 88. Those left to cherish her memory are daughter, Joyce Lanette Spence and husband Pete; son, Ronnie Lee Chandler and wife Suzy; daughter, Bridgett Sheila Lorraine Ray and Ricky; 19 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren ; 5 great-great grandchildren; numerous other relatives and a host of dear friends. Mimi was preceded in death by both her parents; husband, Woodrow Wilson Chandler; daughters, Mable Maudean Parker and Doris LaVerne Perronne; son, Woodrow Wilson Chandler Jr.; Mimi loved to sew, make quilts, embroidery, crochet. Loved to cook, work in garden and loved camping. She loved teaching children the word of the Lord. Mabel loved her husband, children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all. Visitation will be held at Pace Funeral Home, 200 FM 350 North, Livingston, Texas 77351 on Sunday, June 8, 2014 from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. A Celebration of Mimi’s life will be at 4:00 P.M. at Bluewater cemetery, 2400 Bluewater cemetery Road, Livingston, Texas with Pastor Harold Isaacs officiating. Pallbearers will be Corey Sanderson, Issac Satterwhite, Stoney Parker, Woody Chandler Jr., and Justin Chandler. Interment icon will follow.

Diana M. Benoit
August 4, 1953 – June 4, 2014

Funeral services for Diana M. Benoit, 60, of Livingston, Texas, will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, June 9, 2014 in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Deacon Mike Marion officiating.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 PM, Sunday, June 8, 2014, also at Cochran Funeral Home.

Mrs. Benoit was born on August 4, 1953 in Staunton, Illinois and passed away on June 4, 2014 in Livingston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Buddy and Loretta (Urick) Morgan; and siblings, Lil McSweeney and Keith Morgan.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel Benoit of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Loretta Sanchez and husband, Frank, Jr. of Onalaska, Texas; grandsons, Christian Sanchez and Bubba Sanchez both of Onalaska, Texas; brothers, Michael Morgan and wife, Etta of Staunton, Illinois and Jimmy Morgan and wife, Lynn of Staunton, Illinois; sisters, Chris Hienz and husband, Wally of Highland, Illinois and Alice Lotspeich and husband, Scott of St. Louis, Missouri; step-daughters, Bonnie Hickman and husband, Jimmy of Livingston, Texas and Cindy Underwood of Conroe, Texas; along with numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

March 26, 1931 – June 1, 2014

Funeral services for Jim Pokorny, 83, of Onalaska, Texas will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Cochran Funeral Home in Onalaska, Texas with Deacon Mike Marion officiating. Interment icon will follow at Magnolia cemetery in Onalaska, Texas. Visitation will be held at 9:00 AM, Saturday morning, just prior to service time.

Mr. Pokorny was born on March 26, 1931 in Dodge, Nebraska and passed away on June 1, 2014 in Onalaska, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Evelyn (Bartosh) Pokorny; brother, Robert Pokorny; and lifelong friends, John and Dorothy Lyles.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Harry and Susie Pokorny of Howells, Nebraska; sister-in-law, Alice Pokorny of Howells, Nebraska; lifelong friend, Debbie Johnson of Onalaska, Texas; lifelong friends, Jon Lyles and Preston Lyles, both of Dry Prong, Louisiana; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

David “Doc” Akery, Sr.
November 19, 1943 – June 3, 2013

A memorial service for David “Doc” Akery, Sr., 70 of Livingston, Texas will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Faith Christian Center in Livingston, Texas with Randy Findley officiating. Military Honors will be provided by VFW Honor Guard Post #8568.

Doc was born on November 19, 1943 in Houston, Texas and passed away on June 3, 2014 in Livingston, Texas. He married Janet Grace Hinkle in Houston, Texas on October 1, 1988. He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Gazella (Mandich) Akery.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Akery of Livingston, Texas; daughters, Tina Marie Akery Read of Porter, Texas and Shere’ Denise Akery Lipinski of Houston, Texas; step-sons, Matthew Douglas Smith of Kingwood, Texas and Aaron Christopher Smith of Spring, Texas; son, David Alan Akery, Jr. of Fredericksburg, Texas; son-in-law, John Lipinski of Houston, Texas; daughter-in-law, Barbara Jane Smith of Spring, Texas; grandchildren, Joshua John Read, Bruce Edward Nolte III, Evangeline Beatrice Lipinski, Jazalyn Ann Frances Smith, Shelby Layne Smith, Charles Xavier Smith, Dara Catherine Smith, Evelyn Grace Smith, Deborah Ann Akery, and Andrea Nicole Akery; great-granddaughter, Madilyn Marie Read; sisters, Katherine Ann Akery Stubbe of Cypress, Texas and Marilyn Beth Akery Gilbert of Cypress, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Scenic Loop Volunteer Fire Department, 1406 FM 3277, Livingston, Texas 77351.

June 7, 1935 – June 2, 2014

Funeral services for Floyd Hays Gage, Sr., 78, of Spring, Texas, will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, June 6, 2014 at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Harold Isaacs officiating. Interment icon will follow in the Blue Water cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Military Honors will be provided by the VFW Honor Guard Post #8568. Visitation will be held at 5:00 PM, Thursday, June 5, 2014 also at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Hays was born on June 7, 1935 in Minden, Texas. He died peacefully on June 2, 2014 at his home in Spring, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his son, Floyd, Jr.; parents, Cynthia and John M. Gage; two brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara Murphy Gage, formerly of Livingston, Texas; two beautiful daughters, Brenda Gage Washbourne and husband, Graham of Huntsville, Texas and Beki Gage Orsack and husband, Mark of Spring, Texas; three granddaughters, Brooke Orsack, Brandy and Ashley Alexander; two grandsons, Blake Orsack, Kirk Alexander and wife, Brandi; brother, Jesse “Dutt” Gage and sister, Katherine Welch, both of Henderson, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

His many talents were, church song leader, baseball umpire, a guitar back-up on Jim Reeves Radio Station, and Honor Guard for President Eisenhower during the Cold War in Germany. Hays was an U.S. Army Sargent from 1958 to 1962 under General Sam Houston IV.

Funeral services for Shirley will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 6, 2014 in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Thursday, June 5, 2014 also at Cochran Funeral Home.

Ms. Crager is preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Esther (Beck) Harper; husband, Kenneth Crager, Sr.; siblings, Mary Emma Hartzler, David Harper, and George Harper.

She is survived by her son, Kenneth Crager, Jr. of Livingston, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Emily Stover and Edward of Vivian, Louisiana; granddaughter, Payton Stover of Vivian, Louisiana; siblings, Linda Crowson of Huntsville, Texas, Peggy McMillian of Riverside, Texas, Johnny Harper of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Joe Harper of Huntsville, Texas, and Judy Twardeski of Huntsville, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and companions: Ruby, Rusty, Lizzy, and Moonlight.

Diana Kay Cieslik, born on October 28, 1956 in Nuremburg, Germany to Virgil and Donna M. Rosean Tyner, passed away on June 4, 2014 at the age of 57 in Livingston, Texas. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Jennifer Cieslik; son, Brandon Kyle Tyner; father, Virgil Tyner and step mother Anna; sister, Cheryl Carter; nephew, Jeremy Carter; numerous other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her mother, Donna. Diana will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Lonnie George Dingess
June 25, 1930 – June 2, 2014

Funeral services for Lonnie George Dingess, 83, of Livingston, Texas, will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 7, 2014 at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 7, 2014, just prior to service time. Mr. Dingess will be laid to rest at 1:00 PM, Monday, June 9, 2014 at Forest Park Lawndale in Houston, Texas.

Mr. Dingess was born on June 25, 1930 in Logan, West Virginia and passed away on June 2, 2014 in Livingston, Texas. He worked as a manager for Phillips Oil for many years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Dingess and Darlene (Moorehouse) Dingess Allen; and granddaughter, Sheila Crutcher.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Audrey Dingess; daughters, Beverly Thompson, Belinda Sowards, and Dianna and husband, Ed Betzlaff; brother, Marvin Moorehouse; four grandchildren, Lonnie Neal and wife, Jeannie, Corinna Wright and life-mate, Robbin, Jody Thompson and wife, Courtney, and Ron Jr. Stall; twelve great-grandchildren, Emily, Shanelle, Kendall-Kay, Cheyenne, Savannah, Carey, Cash, Zeden, Saderah, Shevelle, Laurelle, and Jade; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Mr. Troutman was born on August 28, 1925, in Purcell, Oklahoma and passed away on May 30, 2014 in Livingston, Texas. He proudly served his country in World War II from 1943 – 1945. Jessie is preceded in death by his parents, John H. Troutman and Blanch (Ficklin) Troutman; son, Lee Chavers; and several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Troutman of Ace, Texas; son, Ralph Smith of Ace, Texas; daughters, Donna Brooks and husband, Larry of Ace, Texas, Debra Moores of Baytown, Texas, Betty Collins and husband, Mikel of Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; sister, Laura Malena of Florida; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Debra was born on August 6, 1967 in Baytown, Texas and passed away on June 1, 2014 in Livingston, Texas During her lifetime, Debra was well loved by many and considered a mother to everyone. She was also known as the “Best Maker of Chicken & Dumplings”. Debra is preceded in death by her parents, William and Charlene Crim; and brother, Dennis McNeese.

She is survived by her daughters, Christine Crim of Goodrich, Texas and Paula Collier of Goodrich, Texas; grandson, Hunter Allen Vincent of Goodrich, Texas; sister, Patricia Crim of Goodrich, Texas; brother, Michael Crim and wife, Juanita of Goodrich, Texas; very special friend, James Hudson of Goodrich, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

Karl Alan Kellar

Karl Alan Kellar, born on August 26, 1963 to Jerry and Roynel Kellar in Conroe, Texas, went to be with his Lord on May 30, 2014 in Livingston, Texas, at the age of 50 years. Karl was a Mason belonging to the Trinity Masonic Lodge #14 of Livingston Tx. His loving family includes, wife of 30 years, Melody Kellar; daughter, Kasha Colvin & husband Matthew; son, Taylor Kellar; mother, Roynel Kellar; brother, Sammy Kellar; one grandchild, Rowan Colvin; numerous other relatives and a host of friends. Karl is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Kenneth Kellar and a brother, Craig Kellar. Karl loved his family very much and will be forever in their hearts. Mr. Kenner was born October 22, 1928 in Onalaska, Texas to parents, William and Molly Kenner, and passed away May 28, 2014 in Livingston, Texas. He worked during his lifetime as a welder for the Local 211-Pipefitters Union. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Aline Kenner; daughters, Gale Sublett and Patricia Smith; great granddaughter, Anna-Leigh Smith; brothers, Billy Kenner and Joe Kenner; and sister, Helen Augustonie.

He is survived by his daughter, Sherry Gillan of Livingston, Texas; sister, Beulah Henry; grandchildren, Kris Sublett, Chad Sublett, Mandy Sublett, Clint Smith, and Lacy Lawrence; great grandchildren, Christopher, Trisha, Nick, Brett, Jordyn, Tyler, Madison, Landon, Andrew-Lee, and Rayeah; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers: Kris Sublett, Chad Sublett, Clinton Smith, Hunter Higginbotham, Randy Higginbotham, and Ronald Higginbotham.
