Mr. Winstead was born September 15, 1944 in Alexandria, Louisiana to parents, Mack Edward Winstead, Sr. and Marcia (McCarta) Winstead, and passed away January 16, 2015 in Lufkin, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Winstead of Onalaska, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda O’Donovan and Ricky Tapia of Pasadena, Texas; son, Kenny Lambert of Pasadena, Texas; son and son-in-law, Lealon Winstead and Courtney Sutherland of Tomball, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Randall Blakeney of Deer Park, Texas; daughter, Brenda White of Spring, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Sherri and John Hoeler of Plano, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Tracy and George Crenshaw of Rowlett, Texas; brother, David Winstead of Mesquite, Texas; grandchildren, Victoria and Joe Legler, Candice and Ben Mims, David Hall and Cassidy, Sarah Hall, Nicolas Trainor, Bailey Blakeney, Tim White, Mallorie White, Ty and Magan White, Carly Hoeler, Brad Hoeler; 7 great-grandchildren; along with other relatives and friends.

Ms. Hamlin was born May 4, 1945 in Waco, Texas to parents, Julian Hodges and Frances (Jones) Hodges, and passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 14, 2015 in Beaumont, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Richard Hamlin; great-nephew, Andy Carey.

Mr. Massingill was born January 5, 1940 in Middlesboro, Kentucky to parents, Walter Edward Massingill and Walsie Agnes (Day) Massingill, and passed away January 12, 2015 in Lufkin, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Henrietta Massengill.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Joanne Massingill of Livingston, Texas; sons, William Edward Massingill and Walter Lee Massingill both of Odessa, Texas; daughter, Dawn Lynnett Walls and husband, David of London, England; grandchildren, Andrew Lee Walls, Brook Ann Walls, Caitlyn Elaine Walls; brother, Orby and wife, Janet Massengill of Bowling Green, Kentucky; sister, Juanita Idol of Colonial Heights, Virginia; along with numerous other cousins, relatives and friends.

Mrs. Rice was born September 14, 1946 in Natchitoches, Louisiana to parents, Hubert O. Whithers and Alice (Barnhill) Whithers, and passed away January 9, 2015 in Houston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Glenda Wilson.

She is survived by husband, Raymond “Ricky” Rice of Livingston, Texas; son, Richard and Kelly Rice of Dayton, Texas; grandchildren, Ryan Rice, Rusty Rice and Dixie Rice; sister, Shila Shamblin of Livingston, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Memorial services for Ravell Truman Powell, 84, of Onalaska, Texas, will be held Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Point Blank Community Church in Point Blank, Texas with Rev. Don Davis officiating.

Mr. Powell was born August 31, 1930 in Ada, Oklahoma to parents, Ammon Powell and Minnie (Lewis) Powell, and passed away December 29, 2014 in Huntsville, Texas. During his life, Mr. Powell was a member of the Trinity Lodge #14 A.F and A.M., a past member of the Onalaska School Board and a past member of the Woodland Christian Church of Houston. He was also a member of the Onalaksa Levies and Lace Square Dance Club. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister, and four half brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Ann Powell of Onalaska, Texas; sons, Glen Ammon Powell and Connie of New Waverly, Texas, David Loren Powell and Regina of Willis, Texas; daughter, Nancy Poole of The Woodlands, Texas; grandchildren, 1LT Melissa Poole, US Air Force, Matthew and Becca Poole, Ryan Powell, Rachel Powell; step-grandson, Erik Griffen; sisters, Arqueta Haynie of Marquex, Texas, June Lang of Centerville, Texas, Dellene Jensen of Odessa, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Marshall Gayle Chandler, 93, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 12:00 Noon in the Magnolia cemetery in Onalaska, Texas with Rev. Jeremy Allen officiating. Military honors will be provided by VFW Honor Guard Post #8568. Visitation for family and friends will begin at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday morning, just prior to the service time.

Mr. Chandler was born on December 31, 1921 in Sidney, Texas and passed away on January 8, 2015 in Livingston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Flora (Parker) Chandler; his wife, Margie (Henson) Chandler; daughter, LeNora “Peachy” Chandler.

Mr. Chandler is survived by his son, Michael Chandler of Livingston, Texas; grandchildren, Michael Chandler, Jr., Dawn Chandler, Kim Chandler, Marshall E. Chandler; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Boyd Chandler and Patsy of Fort Worth, Texas; along with other numerous family members and a host of friends.

Jarrod Bonnell Knebel
January 10, 1979 – January 7, 2015

Funeral services for Jarrod Bonnell Knebel, 35, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Sunday, January 11, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with T.C. “Chester” Haynes officiating. Interment icon will follow in the Magnolia cemetery in Onalaska, Texas. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 10, 2015 beginning at 5:00 p.m. in Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Jarrod graced this earth on January 10, 1979 in Pasadena, Texas to parents, Walter and Joanie Knebel. He, his parents and his brother, Brandon Knebel, have been lifelong residents of Livingston, Texas.

Jarrod will forever be remembered for his love of music, willingness to help people, passion for working with youth, and his unwavering faith in God. His mischievous grin and endearing eyes never met a stranger. Known for speaking his mind and not holding back, Jarrod’s personality was captivating. His powerful words, unprecedented strength, and immoveable compassion for Christ and all living things made Jarrod a Godly man and force to be reckoned with. His words were powerful and his compassion for people and animals could not be measured. Zeke, his Am Staff, was the light of his life. Jarrod’s spirit and kindness will forever be seen in Zeke.

Jarrod shared his life and love with so many people. His brother, Brandon, is his best friend, sidekick and accomplice. Best friends in this life and beyond. They carry a bond that can never be broken. His cousins, Jason and Jonathan, are also his brothers.

Although only on this earth for a short time, Jarrod managed to touch an astounding number of lives. Each and every one will forever and always carry him in their hearts.

He is survived by his parents, Walter and Joanie Knebel; grandparents, Kenneth and Dorothy Knebel; brother and fiancé, Brandon K. Knebel and Rachel Klett; uncles and aunts, Dan and Sandra Jones, John and Christine Sheffield; cousins, Jason Jones, Jonathan Jones, Winona “Topsy” Richardson, Sam and Amanda Sheffield, Bradley Knebel, Stephen Knebel, Rachel Sheffield, John Caleb and Chelsey Sheffield; great uncle and aunt, Hubert and Margaret Page; great aunts, Mary Ola Acuff, Doris Andrew; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Thank you to everyone for prayers, thoughts of comfort, and acts of kindness during Jarrod’s time on this earth.

Never before, never again will there be as beautiful a soul as that of Jarrod Bonnell Knebel.
