Funeral services for Ashley White Allen, 41, of Tomball, Texas, will be held Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Harold Isaacs officiating. Interment
will follow in the Peebles cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 12, 2015 beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas.
Ashley was born January 22, 1974 in Houston, Texas to parents, Clovis Ray White and Lynda Dianne (Smith) White, and passed away February 6, 2015 in Houston, Texas. Ashley grew up in Cypress, Texas and at about the age of 7 she started playing softball. Over the next 10 years she played for numerous select teams and the position of pitcher for her high school team. She was a graduate of CY Fair High School and attended Sam Houston State University. She was an avid reader and loved to cook and garden. She also enjoyed knitting and needlepoint. Ashley grew up in church and continued her walk with Christ throughout her life.
She is survived by her daughters, Karle Ann Allen and Taylor Lynn Allen of Spring, Texas; parents, Ray and Dianne White of Tomball, Texas; brother, Wade White and wife Lisa, and their children, Walker, Katie, and Jackson all of San Antonio; aunt, Nancy Pope of Crockett; special cousins, Samantha Davis and family of Spring, Texas, Gregg Pope and family of Katy, Texas; numerous 2nd and 3rd cousins and many loving friends.

A memorial service for Melvin G. Slough Jr, 66, of Point Blank, Texas will be held at 3:00 P.M., Thursday, February 12, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Onalaska, Texas with Bro. Don Wilkey officiating. Military Honors will be provided by VFW Post#8568. Honors will also be provided by Texas Department of Criminal Justice Honor Guard.
Mr. Slough was born on June 5, 1948 in Stanton, Texas to parents, Melvin G. Slough Sr. and Freda Mae (Yarbrough) Slough, and passed away on February 7, 2015 in Point Blank, Texas. During his life, he loved fishing and boating.
He is survived by wife, Peggy Taylor of Point Blank, Texas; son, Rodney Slough of Huntsville, Texas; daughter, Jennifer Renee Warren and husband of Corinth, Mississippi; step-daughter, Vanessa Ungvarsky and family of Easton, Pennsylvania; step-daughter, Amanda Sanchez and husband of Houston, Texas; step-daughter, Madeline Rendon of Houston, Texas; granddaughters, Kristin Holcomb and Lauren Brock; grandson, Bradley Scott Slough; 2 great-grandsons; along with other numerous relatives and friends.

Mrs. Crawford was born December 7, 1937 in Sublime, Texas to parents, Louie Weyland Layton and Evelyn (Willeford) Layton, and passed away March 10, 2015 in Livingston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her son, Charles Crawford; parents; brother, Farrell Layton; sisters, Nona Joy Layton, Evelyn Delette Briscoe and Ina Loy Kortz; and grandson, Walter “Bubba” Heflin II.

Mike Meadows officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2015, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.
Mrs. Williamson was born April 16, 1927 in Houston, Texas to parents, Joseph Charles Richardson and Flossie B. (Marshall) Richardson. She returned to her heavenly home March 9, 2015 after battling a long illness. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggles and ultimately gave her peace. During her life, she was a member of Central Baptist Church for many years and also a charter member of the Livingston Art League. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert “Bob” Williamson; daughter, Mary Lynn Sitton; brother, Kenneth Richardson; and son-in-law, Alan Reese.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Reese of Kilgore, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Aletha and Daryl Gandy of Kilgore, Texas; sister-in-law, Vonceil Richardson of Longview, Texas; grandchildren, Johnny Lynn Sitton, Susan Lake, Angela Custer, Lisa Thurston, and Stacey Shepherd; 9 great-grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Dorothy Evelyn Amerine
March 21, 1928 - March 6, 2015
Evelyn Amerine, 86, of Lufkin, went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday, March 6, 2015. Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 13, 2015, at Corrigan Funeral Home, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Randy Brown officiating. Interment
will follow immediately at Pine Grove cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, March 12, 2015, at Corrigan Funeral Home from 5:00 until 8:00 PM.
Evelyn was born in New Willard, Texas on March 21, 1928. She moved to Camden, Texas, as a young girl with her parents Edna Dominy and Bethel L. Leggett, Sr. She grew up in this sawmill community and lived and worked there until retirement in 1991. She worked as an accountant for W T Carter & Brother, Champion International and International Paper. After her official retirement, she continued to work as an accountant with her son in his CPA practice in Lufkin, Texas.
She enjoyed church and served as music director and Sunday school teacher at Camden and Corrigan Baptist Churches. After moving to Lufkin, she joined Calvary Baptist Church where she was a member of the Golden Heirs.
Evelyn Amerine was preceded in death by her parents, Edna and Bethel L. Leggett, Sr., her brother Bethel L. Leggett, Jr., her husband of 41 years Clarence Amerine, and foster daughter Mary Howard.
Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Jimmy and Dianne Amerine of Barnes, granddaughter Lori Odom of Ft. Worth, grandson and his wife, Colby and Lenae Amerine of The Woodlands, great granddaughter Audrey Odom of Ft. Worth, great grandson Mason Amerine of Lufkin and step great grandson Brett Bowen of Cypress and numerous relatives and friends she dearly loved.
Pallbearers are Colby Amerine, Mason Amerine, Jerry Philmon, Doyle Philmon, John Griffin and Ronnie Leggett. Honorary pallbearers are Butch Leggett, Mike Parrish, Harlon Parrish, and Jerry Isaacks.

William “Buddy” Williamson

Mr. Williamson was born January 9, 1927 in Bonner Spring, Kansas to parents, W.C. Williamson and Gertrude R. (Deshaw) Williamson, and passed away March 8, 2015 in Humble, Texas. During his life, he was a member of the Onalaska Senior Citizen Club and lived the majority of his retired life in Onalaska. He loved to fish, cookout, entertain, garden, and play dominos with friends. Buddy was always a great father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He never met a stranger and was always extremely kind and considerate of others. He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Glennara Williamson.
He is survived by his son, Gary Williamson and Vicky of New Caney, Texas; grandchildren, Molly Lynn Buford and Stacy, Codi Lynn Fountain; great-grandchildren, Morgan Buford, Falon Buford, John Harrison Fountain; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Mr. Perkey was born April 16, 1948 in Knoxville, Tennessee to parents, Jackson Albert Perkey and Lola (Smith) Perkey, and passed away on March 6, 2015 in Livingston, Texas. Pops is remembered by family and friends as a jokester and also for his good humor. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers.

Graveside services for Marjory Gerlach Brasfield, 71, of Phenix City, Alabama, will be held Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Forest Hill cemetery in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Joe MacDonald of the First Presbyterian Church of Livingston officiating. Marge was baptized, raised and married
in the First Presbyterian Church of Livingston. A memorial service was held on Sunday, March 8, 2015, at the St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Columbus, Georgia.
Marjory was born May 28, 1943, in Lufkin, Texas, to Charles J. and Ruth O’Hara Gerlach and died March 5, 2015, peacefully at home in Phenix City, Alabama. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, C.J. Gerlach and wife, Emma, J.J. O’Hara and wife, Ruth; parents, C.J. Gerlach Jr. and wife, Ruth (Dotsy); uncles, Louis Gerlach, and General J.J. O’ Hara Jr.; aunts, Isabel Gerlach, Eunice Tucker, Marjory Green and Lillian Haley.
She is survived by her daughter, Bari O’Hara Geeslin (Bob) of Lumpkin, Georgia; son, Charles Lyle Brasfield (Robin) of Salem, Alabama; sisters, Gretchen Gerlach Chambers, Ruth Gerlach Dominy (Tom) all of Livingston, Texas; grandchildren, Corey Brasfield, Drew Brasfield, Justin Brasfield, Lyndsey Hinckley and Jonathan Hinckley of Alabama; special nieces, Carol Chambers of Weatherford, Texas, Cecilia Law (Danny) of Ft. Worth, Texas, Lynn Dominy (Brian) of Bar Harbor, Maine; great-nieces, Emma Law and Jessica Dominy; great-nephew, Spencer Dominy; along with other family and friends.
Marge was raised in Livingston and graduated from Livingston High School in 1961. She attended the University of Texas where she pledged Gamma Phi Beta sorority, and graduated in 1965. That same year she married
Lyle Brasfield. They moved to Fort Hood where she began a 38 year teaching career. They later moved to Fort Benning, Georgia, where Marge continued her teaching career at Ft. Benning. After retirement, she was a professor and wrote curriculum for Kaplan University. She was on the library board in Phenix City and was active on the mission board at her church. Marge was also active in the choir at St. Thomas Episcopal Church and Lakewood Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing bridge and spending time with her friends and family. Even after suffering a massive stroke in August, 2009, she continued to play bridge and enjoyed taking her grandsons to movies on Sunday afternoons. She was an avid reader who read 2-3 books per week.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests gifts be made to St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Columbus, Georgia; Lumpkin Baptist Church, Lupkin, Georgia; or First Presbyterian Church of Livingston, Texas.

Mrs. Truett was born April 7, 1939 in Manny, Louisiana to parents, William Thomas Small and Minnie Ola (Chandler) Small, and passed away on March 8, 2015 in Livingston, Texas. During her life, she worked for the Nabisco Bakery for over 20 years. She is remembered by family and friends as a good Christian lady who never met a stranger. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Marie David; brother, Charles Small; husband, George Truett; and grandson, Jim Tipton.

George Wilton Palmer
George Wilton Palmer, 64, passed into the arms of our Lord Thursday, March 5, 2015, in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his devoted wife, Robin, and their six beloved dogs following an extended illness.
George has touched so many lives over the years, but none more so than his extended family who survives him. His wife of 29 years, Robin, whom he adored beyond measure; his twin brother, John Palmer and his wife Joni; his sister, Cynthia Tucker; his sister Kathryn King and her husband Joe; his brother Charles “Pete” Palmer and his wife Carol; brother in-law Brian Casey and wife Susan; sister in-law Toni Casey. George will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. George was preceded in death by his mother, Eola Leona Palmer and his father Charles Cunningham “C.C.” Palmer; his brother-in-law Charles “Ronnie” Tucker; his brother-in-law Raymond Koenig and his sister, Peggy Koening.
Born and raised in Conroe, George began working with his brothers at their father's gas station at the age of 12. After graduating from Conroe High School in 1969, he attended Sam Houston State University, graduating in 1973 with a bachelor's degree in Business. In 1973, George joined the Texas Department of Public Safety, retiring from his duty in 1997 as a Corporal. It was during his tenure with the DPS that he met his wife, Robin Casey, and they were married
in George's parents' backyard in 1986 with both of their dedicated dogs trailing them up the aisle.
After serving with the DPS, George had the opportunity to join the Pioneer Aggregate Company and Hanson Aggregate Company in Houston. In 2003, he truly did retire to his life with Robin and their ever-growing family of dogs in their treasured home on Lake Livingston. He was as avid fisherman, a tremendous hunter and a true lover of the outdoors. Every friend that visited George and Robin's home felt loved and cared for, and every stranger felt like a friend. Over the years, George and Robin participated in countless church activities, including The East Texas Emmaus Community and truly devoted their life together to furthering their relationship with the Lord.
Services honoring George's life are scheduled for Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at First United Methodist Church in Livingston. Visitation is slated for Monday evening at Pace Funeral Home at 200 FM 350 North in Livingston.
