Funeral services for Marvin Voss Carroll, 81, of Onalaska, Texas, will be held Monday, March 23, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Interment
will follow at a later date in the Houston National cemetery in Houston, Texas. Visitation will be held Monday, March 23, 2015 beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the service begins, in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.
Mr. Carroll was born February 17, 1934 in Yoakum, Texas to parents, Woodrum W. Carroll and Grace (Mohaw) Carroll, and passed away March 19, 2015 in Onalaska, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Norma (Rock) Carroll; sister; and grandchild, Dawn Anderson.
He is survived by his daughters, Terri Bunofsky of Staten Island, New York, Deborah Holtriker of Hitchock, Texas, Peggy Perkins of Onalaska, Texas, and Sandra Little of Onalaka, Texas; sons, James M. Carroll of Port Jefferson, New York, John W. Carroll of New York, New York; grandchildren, Christopher Turnage, Donald Anderson, John Anderson, Wesley Bryant, Bradley K. Pavlicek and Kasia J. Bunofsky; great-grandchildren, Olivia Bryant, Taylor Anderson, Karah Andreson, Brianna Pavlicek, Kirsten Fritch, Lauren Anderson, Ryan Anderson, Sean Anderson, and Janis Turnage; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Harold Junior Gross, 90, of Livingston, Texas, will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Shorty Hodge officiating. Military honors will be provided by VFW Honor Guard Post #8568. Interment
will follow in the Carlisle cemetery in Carlisle, Texas. Visitation will be held Monday, March 23, 2015 at 5:00 P.M. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas.
Harold Junior Gross was born on March 12, 1925 in Madisonville, Texas and passed away on March 21, 2015 in Livingston, Texas. He was a member of the Nacogdoches American Legion. Harold loved to fox hunt and the sound of dogs running. He was also the owner of Junior’s Night Club. Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Delos S. and Viola (Baker) Gross; wife, Jerri (Garrett) Gross; son, Robert Gross; brothers, Hoyt Gross and Refus Baker; and sister, Pauline Gross McCarty.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Joy Wilson and Charles of Livingston, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Jack K. Gross and Kathy of Joplin, Missouri; grandchildren, Bo Gross and Kristi, Wes Wilson, Quirt Wilson, April Brewer, Lacy Methvin and Justin, Jennifer Ryal and Jonathan; eight great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Eugene and Elanie Gross of Houston, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
Harold will be escorted to his grave by pallbearers, Bo Gross, Wes Wilson, Quirt Wilson, Hunter Gross, Andy Elliott and Kenneth Wilson. Honorary pallbearer is Glen Duff.

Birdie Overstreet Bearss born in Segno, Texas on August 1, 1916 went to be with her Lord on March 20, 2015 in Livingston, Texas at the age of 98 years old. Memorial services for Jayne Audrey “Pat” Greenhaw, 90, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Sunday, March 29, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Pastor Ron Bates officiating.
Mrs. Greenhaw was born September 26, 1924 in Cleveland, Ohio to parents, George Clinton Crumley and Della (Fulton) Crumley, and passed away March 17, 2015 at her home in Livingston, Texas. She married
Archie Greenhaw on August 28, 1944 in Houston, Texas and they moved to Livingston in 1982. She enjoyed sports of all kinds and loved her family. Before becoming the best mom ever, she worked at the GE assembly plant, Rosie the Riverteer during World War II. She is preceded in death by her husband, Archie Leon Greenhaw, and parents.
She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Day of Sarasota, Florida; daughter, Barbara Freeman of Livingston, Texas; son, Dennis Greenhaw of Conroe, Texas; daughter, Georgi Dalton of Sarasota, Florida; daughter, Lisa Niccum of Spring, Texas; son, Steven Greenhaw of Livingston, Texas; son, Patrick Greenhaw of Conroe, Texas; sixteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Ann Fillingim; father, George Fillingim; brother, Lynn Fillingim; and wife, Sharon Fillingim.

Bertie Gesford Kyle
Funeral Services for Bertie Gesford Kyle, 90, of Corrigan, Texas will be held at 10 A.M. Friday, March 20, 2015 in the Corrigan Funeral Home Chapel, Corrigan, Texas with Bro. Buster Grigg officiating.
Mrs. Kyle was born February 24, 1925 in Nacogdoches County, Texas and passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2015 in Lufkin, Texas.
She grew up in the Alazan community near Nacogdoches, Texas. Bertie moved to the Camden-Corrigan area where she met the love of her life, Andrew Eutaw Gesford and was married
to him for 27 years. She enjoyed fishing, gardening but most of all she loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bertie loved spending time with her family! Her greatest accomplishment was raising her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. When she was able she was involved in her church, Seventh Day Adventist, here in Corrigan, Texas.
Bertie is survived by her husband of 37 years, Thomas H. Kyle; sons, Randy Gesford and fiancé, Marty Morrison of Bryan, Texas, Andrew Gesford and wife Renee of Willis, Texas; daughter, Doris Higgins and husband Tommy of Pollok, Texas; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Andrew Eutaw Gesford; parents, William S. and Lucy Reed Norton; brothers, Clyde Norton, Bob Norton; sisters, Syble Odessia Gesford, Willie Vee Johnson; step sons, Tommie Kyle and James H. Kyle.

During his life, he was a member Livingston Church of God in Christ Brotherhood and a member of the male choir. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Holestine (Rice) Walker; brothers, Andrew Stephens, James Albert Stephens, Joe Louis Stephens; and sister, Addie Mae Stephens.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Walker of Livingston, Texas; daughters, Gloria A. Mrs. Smith was born October 15, 1918 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to parents, Clarence White and Helen (Morgan) White, and passed away on March 16, 2015, in Tomball, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Horace Clifton Smith.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Barbara Smith of Hockley, Texas; son, Wayne Smith of Spring, Texas; daughter, Dianne Burkhalter of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Robin Shelly, Traci, Richard, Jon-A-Ril, Shane; along with numerous great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Mattie Maureen Sirman Sciba
A visitation will be held Friday, March 20, 2015 from 6-8 pm at the Corrigan Funeral Home, for Mattie Sciba, 83, of Corrigan. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 2 pm at Stryker Baptist Church with Brother William Glass officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the Stryker cemetery.
Mrs. Sciba died March 16, 2015, in a Lufkin hospital. She was born July 24, 1931, in Stryker, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, A. A. “Sonny” Sciba in 2006, her parents, Bill & Hazel Sirman of Corrigan and brother, Joe “Sonny” Sirman.
Mattie grew up in Corrigan Texas, graduating from Corrigan High School as valedictorian in 1948. She met her husband while attending Sam Houston State University where she graduated with a teaching degree. She lived in Wharton County where their three children were born- later moving to Texas City, Texas where she was a homemaker and taught high school. She retired to “the lake house” at Toledo Bend in 1985. She returned to Corrigan in 1997. She was an avid reader, was a collector antique bottles, and always enjoyed spending time with her family and friends– especially in later years at the Corrigan Senior Citizens center.
Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Kathy Sciba of Wharton, Don and Cheryl Sciba of Chandler; and daughter Susan Jones of Waxahachie.
Granddaughters: Amanda Sciba, Rachael Cowling (Chris), Kelcy Sciba, Stephanie Jones.
Grandsons: Michael Beierle, Cody Sciba (Jennie), Matt Sciba (Michelle), Jacob Sciba (Tiffany), John Jones, Joe Jones
Great grandchildren: Kayla Sciba (Amanda), Hannah Sciba (Cody), Kate and Will Sciba (Matt), Ari Sciba (Jacob), Aiden & Brendan Jones (Stephanie).
