Funeral services for Clara Faye Snook, 63, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas with Chaplin Jason Sandefer officiating. Interment
will follow in the Bluff Creek cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 15, 2015 beginning at 5:00 p.m. in Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.
Mrs. Snook was born December 19, 1951 in Mobil, Alabama to parents, Lloyde Lee Bowles and Clara Bell (Ward) Bowles, and passed away April 14, 2015 in Livingston, Texas. During her life, she was a beloved wife and mother who loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to hunt, sew, quilt, cook squirrel balls and jalapeno peppers, and play computer games. She also loved arts and crafts. She is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Gerald Snook of Livingston, Texas; son, James Morrow Jr. of Mobil, Alabama; daughters, Margie Dungca and Paul of Calvert, Alabama, Debra Strickland and Tony of Livingston, Texas, Michelle Vess and Gary Jr. of Livingston, Texas, Beverly Davis and Clint of Livingston, Texas; son, Cecil Snook of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Crystal Faught and Tommy of Livingston, Texas; grandchildren, Chelsea Kountz, Jamie Morrow, Johnathan Dungca, Sherry Barnhart, Brandon Strickland, Caleb Strickland, Kylee Strickland, Cameron Strickland, Zack Snook, Meagan Nelson and Montana, Zack Gardner, John Davis and Melody, Lauren Babbs, Landon Vess, Josh Vess and Zuni, Kyle Faught, Marissa Moore, Allison Snook; great-grandchildren, Jackson Kountz, Annabelle Dungca, Brooklyn Barnhart, Hayden Dungca, Madison Dungca, Kason Nelson, Karter Nelson, Jagger Vess, Clay Vess, Kinlee Snook, Madison Snook, Isaiah Davis, Kale Davis, and Alayna Davis; sister, Rose Albritton and Ronald of Mobil, Alabama; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Larry Ryans
On March 5, 1957 a baby boy was born to the late Albert and Winnie Monroe. He was raised in Polk County where he attended Dunbar School and graduated from Livingston I.S.D.
Larry accepted Christ at an early age and was a devoted member of Antioch Baptist Church and later joined Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Corrigan, Texas. He served on the Usher Board under the leadership of Sis. Ella Hood, President where Pastor Ceasar Parker was the Pastor and later under Pastor Willie Barnes where he served as President of the Usher Board in 2012 until his health failed him.
He was a member of the Traveler Rest Lodge #55 where he served as the Treasurer. Larry coached for Livingston Football and Basketball league and was member of the Camden Trailblazers Trailriding Club.
Larry departed this life on April 9, 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Winnie Monroe and Morris Harrell; Grandparents, Arthur and Bessie Ryans; Siblings; Famous, Raymond and Bertha Harrell; nephew, Derrick Hill, Aunts Hazel, Mary, and Creasie; and brother in law Joe Brokenberry.

Mrs. Hicks was born August 8, 1937 in Goodrich, Texas to parents, John Shotwell and Martha (Henderson) Shotwell, and passed away April 11, 2015 in Livingston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn Hicks of Livingston, Texas; son, Herman Waldrep Jr. of Livingston, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Kay Waldrep of Livingston, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Kim Hicks of Mt. She is preceded in death by her parents and step-dad, Wales P. Dear; nieces, Emily Mullins and Victoria Foster; brothers, Robert Don Franklin, Bobby Bryant and Jack Bryant.

James Ray Koester
James Ray Koester, born on September 27, 1946 in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, to Fred James Koester and Mary Martha Patin Koester, passed away on April 7. 2015 in Onalaska, Texas at the age of 68. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 11 years, Marie Koester; children, Tamara Snyder and husband Zack, Shane Lollar and wife Rachel; one brother and one sister; grandchildren, Dakota, Dessa and Daxton Synder, Maycie and Jess Lollar; numerous other relatives and a host of dear friends. James was preceded in death by both his parents; James served proudly in the United States Navy during Vietnam War. James owned the Camper Coral Mobile Home Park in Livingston, Texas since 2002. He loved being anywhere near water; beaches, lakes, boats and dreamed of going back to Galveston, Texas where he and Marie had dear friends. James loved his grandchildren and they were the apple of his eye. Every morning James would get his grandson, Dakota up and fix his breakfast and get him off to school, just to spend that special time with him. Dessa, Daxton, Maycie and Jess were never far from his heart and he looked forward to spending time with them also. James wanted Marie after his death to go back to all the beaches that they had traveled to and leave a part of him at each. Family was very special to James and he loved his wife and everyone of his family very much and will be missed dearly. A Celebration of James's Life will be held with family and friends at a later date.

Mrs. Tompkins was born February 1, 1918 in Big Sandy, Texas to parents, Klebe Crouch and Callie (Adams) Crouch, and passed away April 3, 2015 in Baytown, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lev Robert Tompkins; brothers, James Crouch and Everett Crouch; and sister, Norma Lee Franklin.

Roma Joan Krejci
Roma Joan Krejci, 81, of Columbia, SC passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015. She courageously battled cancer before succumbing to pneumonia. Born in Nashville, GA, October 24, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Maston and Rita Wilkerson Parrish.
Roma met the love of her life, Colonel Ed Krejci, at Moody AFB in Valdosta, GA. After a whirlwind romance of almost 3 months, they got married
. 2 years later, their daughter Liz was born. They were stationed throughout the United States, Hawaii & England, which allowed them to do some traveling in Europe. Upon retiring from the Air Force, they settled in San Antonio, TX. After getting "itchy feet" again, they took off in their RV across the United States to visit every state except Hawaii, only because their RV wouldn't float! They were impressed with the beauty of our country. In 2005, they curtailed their full time RV traveling & settled in Livingston, TX. In January of 2014, they relocated to Columbia, SC to be closer to their daughter.
Roma leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 61 years, Ed Krejci; and a daughter, Liz Krejci of Hopkins, SC. She was predeceased by a brother, Charles Parrish.

Charles Paul Slade
Charles Paul Slade was born September 7, 1945 in Savannah, Georgia to William Hill and Leona Jule (Lafitte) Slade and entered into rest on April 3, 2015 in Livingston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Chuck is survived by Cynthia, his wife of 26 years, and son, Charles & Jennifer Slade, daughter, Jennifer & Kenneth Dillon, son, Christopher & Robin Slade, son, Stephen Morie, daughter, Laurie & Bret Wuellner, and daughter Julia McCullers. Brothers, George & Nancy Slade and William Slade, Jr., 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and a host of family and friends.
A visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 6, 2015 to be followed by a Celebration of Chuck's life at 2:00 p.m. Brother Jason Gulley of Cross Roads Church, Camp Ruby, officiating. Both the visitation and the Celebration will be at the Chapel in Pace Funeral Home, 200 FM 350 North, Livingston, TX 77351. Honorary Pallbearers will be Branden Cox, Stephen Morie, Joshua Dillon, Kenneth Dillon, Steven Beard, Charles Slade, Jr, Chris Slade and Bret Wuellner. He will be interred in Beaufort, S.C. at the National Military cemetery.
Chuck graduated from Savannah, Georgia High School where he was active with the Jr ROTC and was also an Eagle Scout. At age 18 he joined the U.S. Marine Corp and served in the Viet Nam War as Sentry dog handler. During the conflict he received 2 Purple Hearts for injuries received during combat. After his Viet Nam tour he served 3 years aboard the aircraft carrier U.S.S. America CVA66, while aboard ship he served as USMC Drill Team leader. He retired from the Corp in 1984 after attaining the rank of Staff Sgt. Upon moving to Texas he was employed as Captain of the Nuclear Security force with the South Texas Nuclear Project in Bay City, TX. Later he and family moved to Livingston where he worked for the Livingston Post Office as a rural mail carrier from which he also retired.
He enjoyed cooking, hunting, fishing and collecting coins. He was a favorite requested cook for friends and family at gatherings.
