Jay Jones
Johnie R. “Jay” Jones, age 75, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at his residence.
Mr. Jones was born January 29, 1935 in Maud, Texas and lived in Texarkana most of his life. He was retired from Red River Army Depot and a member of The Four Square Gospel Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Lenida Jones, one brother, J. O. Jones and his parents, John D. and Thelma Jones.
He is survived by his wife: Jo Ann Jones of Texarkana, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law: Doug and Sharron Jones of Texarkana, Texas: two stepsons: Roger Johnson of Texarkana, Texas Randy Johnson of Texarkana, Texas and one step daughter: Debra Aaron of Texarkana, Arkansas; two brothers: Leroy Jones of Redwater, Texas;
Robert Jones of Hooks, Texas; very special cousin: Carroll Foster of Nash, Texas two grandchildren: Adam Jones and Jennifer Jones: seven step grandchildren: Amanda, Anna, Kara, Josh, Nick, Zachary and Teah; four step great grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A. M. Friday at Chapelwood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Robinett officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:30 to 8:00 P. M.
The family will be at the Jones residence, 3002 Cottonwood Street, Texarkana, Texas.

Edna Godfrey
Edna Godfrey, age 67, of Texarkana, Texas, died Thursday, March 18, 2010 in a local hospital.
Mrs. Godfrey was born April 12, 1942 in Brington, England. She was employed with Holiday Bowl and was a member of the Texarkana Women’s Bowling Association.
Survivors include her mother, Barbara Loakes of Rushden, England; three brothers, Philip Loakes of Rushden England, Trevor Loakes of Cambridge, England, Stuart Loakes of Brington, England; six special friends, Brenda Stevenson of Texarkana, Arkansas, Susie Goins of Texarkana, Arkansas, Chris McMahon of Ashdown, Arkansas, Rana Chattaway of Texarkana, Texas, Daphney Kerr of Texarkana, Texas, Anson Godfrey of Texarkana, Texas and a number of other friends and relatives.
Visitation will be held at the Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas, Monday evening from 5:00 to 6:30 P.M.
Memorial can be made to the Texarkana Animal Shelter, 203 Harrison, Texarkana, Arkansas or to a favorite charity.
Lillian Treadway
Lillian Rose Treadway, age 77, of Domino, Texas, died Sunday February 21, 2010 at her residence.
Mrs. Treadway was born January 22, 1933 in Rodessa, Louisiana. She was a homemaker and a member of the Hebron Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Jewel Treadway of Domino, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Frankie Miller of Tom, Oklahoma; two sons and daughters-in-law, Alvin and Luanne Treadway of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Curtis and Terrie Treadway of Stamps, Arkansas; one sister, Maxine Arnold of Texarkana, Texas; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Roy Jones officiating. Burial is under the direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.
Evelyn Drennan
NEW BOSTON, TEXAS - Evelyn Mozelle Drennan, age 94 of Hooks, Texas passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2010 in a Texarkana hospital. Mrs. Drennan was born April 16, 1915 in Gilmer, Texas. She was a homemaker, a member of Everett Baptist Church, and is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Drennan, Sr., a daughter, Pat Forrester, and a great grandson, Michael Drennan.
Survivors include two sons and daughters in law, Morris and Kathy Drennan of Hooks, . Texas, James and Franca Drennan of New Boston, Texas, one son in law, Wiggs Forrester of New Boston, Texas, her grandchildren, Viki Pierce, Leslie Jones, Elizabeth Forrester, Michael Wayne Drennan, Sherri Quintero, Kerri Sue Nolan, Christina Graham, Jimmy Drennan and David Drennan, 12 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, February 26, 2010 in the Bates-Rolf Chapel, New Boston with Rev. Roy Ford and Rev. Ronnie Pipes officiating. Interment
will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens, Nash, Texas under the direction of Bates-Rolf New Boston. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M., Thursday, February 25, 2010 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Alliance, P.O. Box 7812, Texarkana, Texas 75505.

John Lands
Johnny Buel “John” Lands, age 56, of Maud, Texas, died Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at his residence.
Mr. Lands was born March 18, 1953 at Texarkana, Arkansas. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the Lakeside Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Becky Mizel Lands of Pueblo, Colorado; one step son Max Mizel of Pueblo, Colorado; five sisters, Carolyn Pelfrey of Texarkana, Arkansas, Marilyn Couch of Maud, Texas, Kay Leeper of Carrollton, Texas, Wanda Palo of Plano, Texas, Jean Garrett of Carrollton, Texas; one brother, Fred Lands of Sherwood, Arkansas and a number of other relatives.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at East Memorial Gardens. Burial is under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.
The family will receive friends Friday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M.
Cynthia Carol Clearman
Cynthia Carol Clearman, 48, of Texarkana, TX, died Thursday, February 25, 2010, in a local hospital. She was born February 6, 1962, in Shreveport, LA. She was a member of Beech Street First Baptist Church and had worked for Total Convenience Stores and Luby’s Cafeteria.
She is survived by her parents, James and Carolyn Clearman; one sister and brother-in-law, Sherri and Robert Fomby; one brother, Randall Wayne Clearman; and two nephews, Cole and Matt Fomby.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 1, 2010, at Texarkana Funeral Home Chapel, Texas, with the Rev. Craig Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 3-4:30 P.M. Sunday, February 28, 2010, at Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.
Jack Anderson
Jack Anderson, age 87, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday, February 24, 2010 in a local hospital.
Mr. Anderson was born November 17, 1922 in Marietta, Texas. He was formerly employed with Copper’s Creosote Plant and retired from M. V. Anderson Construction Company. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in War World II. He was a Christian. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Anderson and one grandson, Terry Don Huggins.
He is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law: Linda and Kenneth Huggins of Texarkana, Texas; Carolyn Irwin of Saltsburg, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren: Scott Huggins; Kim Kitchen, Stacy Petro and Jamie Teliczan; six great grandchildren: Heather Huggins, Savannah, Huggins, Terry Scott Huggins, Madison Petro, Sara Petro and Alexis Trkula; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 P. M. Monday at Chapelwood Funeral Home Chapel with Carl Teel officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens with military honors.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 P. M.
