Audrey Novell Landers

Audrey Novell Landers, age 98, of Hooks, Texas, died Thursday, August 18, 2011 in a local nursing home.
Mrs. Landers was born April 24, 1913 in Red River County, Texas.
She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church, Hooks.
She was preceded in death her husbands, Melvin Bell and Paul Landers, and one daughter, Erma Louise Ponder.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: James D. and Barbara Bell of Texarkana, Texas; one grandson and granddaughter-n-law: Bobby and Connie Stevens of Hooks, Texas; two granddaughters and one grandson-in-law: Elizabeth and Dwayne Carmer of Seattle, Washington; Rebecca Pierce of Hugoton, Kansas; eight great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 1:00 P. M. to 2:00 P. M.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 P. M. Saturday at Chapelwood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Ducroz officiating.
Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.
Johnny Mack Braden Jr.
(February 26, 1940 - August 19, 2011)
Johnny Mack Braden, Jr., age 71, of Texarkana, TX, died at home on August 19, 2011.
He was born on February 26, 1940, in Columbus, AR, to J. M. Braden and Lorene Smith Braden.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by a daughter, Cindy Louise Braden of AZ, a sister Brenda Stembaugh and her husband Jeff of Bivins, TX, two nephews, two aunts and numerous cousins.
While attending Glendale Junior College in Glendale, CA, he received the American Legion Orion Award for the most outstanding music student in the college.
He received his Masters in Music from Texas A&M; at Commerce.
Before he became disabled, he taught history and was a band director in several schools.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.
Cliff'Don Brayden Raper

Cliff’Don Braydon Raper, infant son of Casey Don and Re’Becca Jean Skeen Raper, of Texarkana, Arkansas, died Friday, August 19, 2011, in a local hospital.
Cliff’Don was born August 19, 2011, in Texarkana, Texas.
Survivors other than his parents include one sister, Angyl Lynn Gray of Texarkana, Arkansas, his grandparents, Vickie and Cliff Potts of Texarkana, Arkansas, Cindy and Roger Cummings of Fouke, Arkansas, and Steve Blair of Haskell, Arkansas, his great-grandparents, Tommy and Barbara Potts of Texarkana, Arkansas, Tommy Joe and Edna Raper of Haskell, Arkansas, Alfred Blair of Haskell, Arkansas, and Herbert Cummings of Benton, Arkansas, his great-great-grandfather, Junior King of Heavener, Oklahoma, and a number of other relatives.
Memorial services will be at 10:00 A. M. Thursday at the Life House Church, 915 East Street, Texarkana, Arkansas, with Rev. James Ross officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas.
Kattie Lee Wagner
(April 2, 1925 - August 19, 2011)
Kattie Lee Wagner, age 86, of Maud, Texas, died Friday, August 19, 2011 in a Texarkana hospital.
Mrs. Wagner was born April 2, 1925 in Bowie County, Texas.
She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Thomas Wagner and a grandson Roy Daniel Green.
Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, William and Mary Wagner of Atlanta, Texas, Joel C. Wagner of Maud, Texas, Billy Don and Debra Wagner of Maud, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Laura and Wade Matheson of Gillham, Arkansas, Mary and Pete Kolodziej of Maud, Texas; ten grandchildren, Joyce Shores, Laura Kaye Ranes, Thomas Wagner, Sheryl Hammonds, Ben Matheson, Ronny Wagner, Donny Wagner, Teresa Wagner, Christy Procella, Darlene Hurst; twenty-three great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday at the Bates Rolf Funeral Home Chapel, New Boston with Augustine Alaniz officiating.
Burial will be in Rock Hill cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
The family will be at their residence.
Elizabeth Ann Johnston

Elizabeth Ann Johnston, age 75, of Texarkana, Texas, died Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at her home.
Mrs. Johnston was born October 26, 1935 in Shreveport, LA.
She is retired from Wadley Regional Medical Center and was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, a granddaughter, Laura Nicole Maxey and two great granddaughters, Haley Michelle and Summer Rose Sneed.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, William Charles “Chuck” Johnston, Jr. of Texarkana, TX and John David and Shannon Johnston of Spring, TX; two daughters and one son-in-law, Tracy Lynn Nunez of Rosston, AR and Lisa and Kelly Maxey of Texarkana, TX; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.
Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens with Bro. John Hall officiating under the direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 7:30 P.M. Friday, August 26, 2011 at the funeral home.
Clara Williams

Clara Harrison Steed Williams, age 82, of Texarkana, Texas died Wednesday, August 24, 2011 in a local hospital.
Mrs. Williams was born March 14, 1929, in Nevada County, Arkansas.
She was a retired hair dresser and a member of Hickory Street Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Williams.
She is survived by five sons and daughters-in-law, Richard Steed, of Pecos, Texas, Ronnie and Joan Steed, of Texarkana, Texas, Royce and Judy Steed, of Mineral Springs, Arkansas, Randy and Margo Steed, of Texarkana, Texas and Robert and Martha Steed, of Longview, Texas, seven grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a number of other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, August 26, 2011 at Hickory Street Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Strebeck officiating.
Burial will follow at Union cemetery, Nevada County, Arkansas under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM at the funeral home.
