J.T. Cox
J.T. Cox, 83, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2002, in Ft. McKavett. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m on Monday, December 23, in Camp Wood. Pallbearers were Calvin Powers, Jason Powers, Brandon Powers, Cody Cox, Sonny Shanks, Glenn Murr, Lowell Jessup, and Junior Hatley. Honorary pallbearers were Carroll Powers, Sr., Robin Sweeten, George Sweeten, Marshall Craig, Louis Lemos, and Buster Hukel.
A resident of Ft. McKavett since 1979, J.T. was born to Emerson and Mabel Cox on December 11, 1919. He graduated from Mertzon High School in Irion County, in 1938.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps after graduation, where he proudly served his country for a total of five years before and during WW II. J.T. married
Helen Ruth "Rusty" Moore on May 10, 1945, in San Angelo.
He was a member of the Church of Christ and served on the Nueces Canyon CISD school board. A lifetime rancher, J.T. owned and operated ranches in Irion, Stonewall, Edwards, Nolan and Kimble Counties.
J.T. was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Rusty, who passed away on March 16.
He is survived by one daughter, Sherry Lynn Powers and her husband, Calvin, of Camp Wood; one son, Walter W. "Speck" Cox and his wife, Coralie, of Hale Center; one granddaughter, Stephanie Lynn Powers of Uvalde; three grandsons, Cody J. Wallace Cox of Abilene, Brandon Jean Powers and his wife, Kristi, of Iraan, and Jason Ray Powers and his wife, Carrie, of Grandfalls and one great-granddaughter, Carli Ann Powers of Grandfalls.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Nelson Funeral Homes of Camp Wood. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice VistaCare in Kerrville.
Elvergne M. Boyce
Former Junction High School teacher Elvergne M. Boyce died Jan. 4, in Dallas, after a long illness.
Born Roy Elvergne McFarland on Feb. 15, 1915, in Dunn, she grew up there and on a farm near Snyder. For several years after her graduation from Hardin-Simmons College, she taught in Post, Junction and Moody schools, and attended summer terms of the University of Texas Law School in Austin. In Junction, she is remembered as a popular teacher of commercial and business subjects.
She was married
to J.W. Marrs of Temple, on May 31, 1940. For five years following his death in 1961, she owned and managed Marrs Lumber Company in Victoria. In 1966, she was married
to Col. Lawrence Stuart, a U.S. Air Force flight surgeon, who died in 1985 in St. Petersburg, Florida. In 1990, she was married
to George Boyce of St. Petersburg, who preceded her in death in 1996.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. David B. Marrs and his wife Lucinda, of St. Louis; her daughter, Catherine L. Marrs of Dallas; six grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces, including Jean Froneberger of Junction.
A member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, and the Altar Guild of the Episcopal Church, she was a Sunday School teacher and an active volunteer and crusader for various patriotic and civic causes. She was also an avid traveler, reader of current events, and a Masters duplicate bridge player who participated in several international tournaments, and fondly remembered playing against Omar Sharif in London.
A memorial High Mass was celebrated for her on January 7, at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church in Dallas.
Jane ‘Janie’ Glenn Lemmons
Graveside services for Jane “Janie'' Glenn Lemmons, 65, of Harper were held in Harper cemetery on December 28, 2002. She died on December 24, in Fredericksburg.
She was born in Brady April 1, 1937, to Jesse and Jackye Harvey Glenn and married
George Lemmons. He preceeded her in death.
Janie is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Thorne of St. Louis, Missouri; three sons, Richard Thorne of Euless, Robert Thorne of Harper and Ronald Thorne of Anaheim, California.
She is also survived by nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; one sister, Roberta ''Biddy” Harkrider of Brady and locally by cousins, Melvin and Cecil Conner.
Neil Wayne Rizk
Neil Wayne Rizk, 63, of Spring, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 24, 2002, at his residence.
He was born on May 23, 1939, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Carl and Lenore Taylor Rizk and graduated from East High School. Rizk attended the University of Iowa and Drake University before serving four years in the Air Force.
Rizk owned and operated the Sunrise Ranch in Kimble County where he took in foster children. His foster son, Mickiel Hodge, graduated from Junction High School and will celebrate his twenty year class reunion later this year.
Rizk worked as a consultant for the last twelve years helping many foster families around the Houston area.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Lenore Taylor Rizk, and is survived by his father, Carl Rizk of Houston; sister, Norma Carole Ridout of Des Moines, Iowa; foster son and daughter-in-law, Mickiel and Dani Hodge of Friendswood; foster son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Donna Hodge of Fort Drum, New York, and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Monday, December 30, 2002, at 11 a m. in the chapel of George H. Lewis and Sons, in Houston with the Rev. Douglas J. Tucker of St. John the Divine Episcopal Church officiating.

John Mudge Molesworth
John Mudge Molesworth, 75, died March 26, 2003, at his home.
He was born March 19, 1928, in San Antonio, to John “Jack” Molesworth and Dorothy Mudge Molesworth. He married
Jo’ Anne Hill September 21, 1951. John served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Following his discharge he returned to the ranch in Kimble County. He was the fourth generation of a pioneering family in this area.
John was a director and past president of the Hill Country Fair Association, served on the Junction School Board and served on the board of the REA for 30 years. He was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church and a 32nd degree Mason.
John is survived by his wife, Jo’ Anne; one son, Lynn Hill and wife, Debbie, of Junction; one daughter, Cindy Tindall and husband, Heber, of Bul Verde. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Travis and Maggie Molesworth of Junction, John Molesworth, V of Boerne, Darrell and Dillon Tindall of Bul Verde and a brother, Fred Molesworth of Amarillo.
Funeral services were held Friday, at 3 p.m. in the Trinity Episcopal Church with burial in the Junction cemetery. The Rev. Monty Jones officiated. Services were under the direction of Graham Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Craft of Clarendon, one son, John Molesworth, IV, and one grandson, Zane Molesworth.
Pall bearers were Scott Massie, Cole Holland, John Cashman, Dean Martin, Art Mudge, Charles Schmidt, Ted Holekamp and Mary Parker. Honorary pall bearers were Gene Simon, Charles Simon, Mike White, Joe Rios and Dennis Dunnagan.
Lela Roberta Horn
Lela Roberta Horn, 70, of Junction, died Wednesday, March 26, 2003, in San Antonio following an illness.
She is survived by three daughters, Sherry Airey and husband, Guy, of San Antonio, Dixie Burge and husband, Gary, of Victoria and Suzette Condrey and husband, Randy, of Junction; two brothers, Jack and Ray Cornell and a sister, Nelda Phillips, and six grandchildren.
A rosary was held on Friday, March 28, in Aubrey Fife Funeral Chapel. A mass was held on Saturday, March 29, at Saint Theresa's Catholic Church in Junction. Burial followed in Junction cemetery.
Feddie Cunningham
Feddie Cunningham, 78, went home peacefully to be with the Lord on April 25, 2003, after a long bout with cancer. Feddie was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Junction.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Bill Cunningham; a daughter, Jeri Baugh, and husband, Jimmy, of Falls City; two sons, Harvey Weathers of Odessa, and Carl Ray Weathers and wife, Ish, of Waco; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services for Mrs. Cunningham were at 3 p.m. April 27, in the Chapel of Aubrey Fife Funerals with Rev. Morris Cook officiating. Interment
was in Junction cemetery.
Pallbearers were Charles Hagood, David Teel, Sr., Billy Broyles, George Carlile, Tommy Hobbs, Jim Baugh, Jim Ed Baugh and Doug Jendrusch.

Cecil Harrison Meredith
Cecil Harrison Meredith, 53, died April 25, 2003, at his home in Livingston.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, at the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston with the Reverend Fred Alford and Reverend Jerry Bennett officiating. Military honors were conducted by Honor Guard District #4 and burial was held on Thursday, May 1, at Houston National cemetery in Houston.
He was born on March 8, 1950, in Junction to George Cecil Meredith and Cora Athlene Milsap Meredith. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cecil served in the Air Force from 1974 to 9177 and married
Elizabeth Oliver Meredith on June 17, 1973, in San Angelo. He graduated from Angelo State University in 1994 and returned to college later to pursue a teaching degree. He was chosen as “Teacher of the Year” at Livingston Junior High in 2001-2002 and was a member of Blanchard Baptist Church. He also taught Sunday school.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Meredith of Livingston; a grandson, Paul Meredith, of Livingston; a daughter, Trina Schmidt, and husband, Charlie, of Mason; four sons, Pat Meredith of Leakey, Troy Meredith of Uvalde, Will (Zane) Neely of Seguin, and Wesley Neely and wife, Angie, of Bonham; four brothers, Larry Truelove and wife, Delores, of Pearland, Hoyt Truelove and wife, Pricilla, of Poland, Barry Truelove and wife, Kim, of The Colony, Alan Truelove and wife, Cindy, of Deer Park; his brother-in-law, Chris Oliver and wife, Arlene, of Crowley; his sister-in-law, Susan Szabo and husband, Klaus, of Stryker, OH; mother-in-law, Sue Booth and husband, Elton, of Odessa; seven grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers were Larry Truelove, Hoyt Truelove, Barry Truelove, Alan Truelove, Chris Oliver, Jason Truelove, Scott Truelove and Randy Truelove.

Francisco Boone
Mr. Francisco Boone, 79, of Junction, died Monday, April 28, 2003, in the Fredericksburg hospital from a sudden illness.
Mr. Boone was born on November 6, 1924, in Mexico. In 1941, he married
Maria Carrillo in Mexico, and they moved to Kimble County in 1953. Francisco worked and retired from PAKS. He then began a career as a shearer in the wool and mohair industry. He was at work when he fell ill and passed away.
Mr. Boone is survived by his wife Maria Boone of Junction; three sons, Juan Boone of Kerrville, Jose Luis Boone and Antonio Boone, both of Junction; two daughters, Nina Menchaca of Junction and Maria De Los Angeles Matte of Big Spring; fifteen grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
A vigil service was held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, at Graham Funeral Home, and funeral services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, at St. Theresa Catholic Church with Rev. Floro Hinacay officiating. Burial followed in the Little Mexico cemetery.
Don Allen Manges, Sr
Don Allen Manges, Sr., 76, of Tomball, died Thursday, July 17, 2003. He was born in Plainview, March 4, 1927, to John and Charlotte Manges.
Graveside services were held at 3 p.m., Saturday, July 19, under the direction of Aubrey Fife Funerals.
Don was a vet and a petro-engineer employed in the oil field industry.
Survivors include his son, Don Allen Manges, Jr.; two daughters, Sharlet Warner and Bey Foster; his former wife, Joan Manges; two granddaughters, Misty Corbitt and Michelle Baumert and two great-grandsons, Timothy and Joshua Corbitt.
He was proceeded in death by his father, John Henry Manges, his mother, Charlotte Nancy Clark Manges and one brother, J.T. Manges.
Harvey E. Ringer
Harvey E. Ringer, 75, of Brady, died July 27, 2003, in San Angelo. Funeral services have been set for Thursday, July 31, at 10 a.m. in the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel in Brady with the Rev. Wade Copeland and Gaylon Morris officiating. Burial to follow in Rest Haven cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Homes.
Harvey was born June 1, 1928, in Nix, to K.E. and Gorda Lee Palmer Ringer. He married
Neta Fay Jones December 30, 1949, in Lometa. He was a Baptist.
Harvey was a rancher and fence builder while working on many ranches in Sonora, Lampasas, Dalhart and Miller, Missouri, before going to work on the Richard Ranch for Carlos Richter in 1960.
He was an outstanding 4-H leader, very active in FFA and other activities in which his children participated in; volunteered for Heart of Texas Rehab Day; loved to hunt and fish, and see after his livestock. He liked the outdoors and his many friends.
Survivors include his wife, Neta, of Brady; one son, Larry Ringer and his wife, Arlene, of Junction; one daughter, Cindy Ringer, of San Angelo; two sisters, Loita Ramsey and Marguerite Ramsey, both of Lampasas; three grandsons, Cody Ringer of Alpine, and Clay and Craig Ringer; one great-grandson; one nephew, Mickey Ramsey, of Georgia; one niece, Mary Yarbrough, of Garland; one sister-in-law, Earline Jones; numerous cousins, a host of friends, and his favorite cat, Whitie.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers-in-law, one nephew; and two dear friends, Fred Wulff and Sefernio Medrano.
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, July 30, from 6-8 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation of North Texas or West Texas Rehab of San Angelo.
Julian Flores
Mr. Julian Flores, 23, of Kerrville, passed away Monday, July 28, 2003, at his residence.
He was born April 29, 1980, in Kerrville to Narciso and Ester (Enriquez) Flores.
Julian was a 1999 graduate of Tivy High School and a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church.
He is survived by his parents, Narciso and Ester Flores; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
The Holy Rosary will be recited Wednesday, July 30, 6 p.m. at Grimes Funeral Chapel with Deacon Daniel Arriaga officiating.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, July 31, at 10 a.m. at Notre Dame Catholic Church with Monsignor Balthasar Janacek as celebrant. Interment
will follow at Mountain View cemetery.
Julian's cousins will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers. Pallbearers include J.R. Ramon, Johnny Barrera, Tony Ramon, Jesse Aguero, Sylvester Ramon, Richard Trevino, Charles Richard, and Peter James Gonzales. Honorary pallbearers include, Belinda Garcia, Amy Gonzales, Charlene Richard, Monica Barrera, Daniel Barrera, and Gloria Richard.
