Dorothy Margaret Wason Campbell Schweitzer departed this life November 28, 2014 in Floydada, Texas. Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Floydada at 10:00A.M. on Monday, December 1, 2014. Burial will be in Floyd County Memorial Park under direction of Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home of Floydada.
Dorothy was born March 27, 1925 in Matador, Texas to William B. and Artie Ruth (Hickson) Wason. She attended primary and secondary school in Matador, TX and edited the 1942 yearbook La Arena. She married
David Campbell in Matador July 25, 1946, and together they raised three sons, Gary David, Roger Gale, and William Greg, first in Matador, then Roaring Springs, and later in Floydada.
Dorothy was a devoted mother and farmer's wife as well as a long time civil servant. She worked at the Motley County AAA, Roaring Springs U.S. Post Office, Floyd County Farmers Home Administration, and Floyd County ASCS. She retired from ASCS in 1981 with 27-1/2 years of combined public service.
Dorothy was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. In later years she and David were active members of the Wally Byam Caravan Club and the Good Sams club. They made many enduring friendships in campgrounds across the country, and for years were regulars at the Roaring Springs Ranch Club. In retirement they also spent many happy winters in the Rio Grande Valley, from Donna to Del Rio.
Dorothy & David were married
54 years at the time of his death December 7, 1999. She married
Albert K. Schweitzer April 7, 2001. Dorothy and Bert had been classmates from grade school through high school in Matador, TX, and were lifelong friends. They spent seven happy years together remembering the earlier times, enjoying each other's company and getting to know each other's families. Bert died July 3, 2008 in Lubbock.
Throughout her life, family was Dorothy's first priority, from her grandparents Mollie Wason, and Lydia and Wesley Hickson to her mom, dad and younger brothers, to her spouses, in-laws, children, nieces, nephews, Grands and Greats. She dearly loved them all, Wasons, Campbells, Hunters, Daveys and Schweitzers alike.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Billy Wason, husbands David Campbell and Bert Schweitzer, and her son Greg Campbell. She is survived by her brother Don Wason of Plainview, TX; four sons: Gary & Nancy Campbell of Gonzales, LA; Gale & Carolyn Campbell of Floydada; Mike & Sharon Schweitzer of San Antonio, TX; Mark Schweitzer of Austin TX; nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12-8 p.m. on Sunday, November 29, 2014 and the family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3-5 p.m. Memorials may be made in Mrs. Schweitzer's memory to; Floydada Senior Citizens, or First United Methodist Church Floydada.
Charles Barber
November 5, 1938 - March 14, 2015
Lockney, Texas
Charles F. Barber, 76, of Lockney passed away Saturday, March 13, 2015 in Lubbock. His funeral service will be Thursday, March 19, 2015, 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church, Lockney with Rev. Kyle Brock officiating. Burial will follow at the Lockney cemetery. The family has entrusted Moore Rose Funeral Home, Lockney, with arrangements.
C. F. was born in Lockney, November 5, 1938 to Floyd and Billie (Mills) Barber. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, a Mason, and an active member of the Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by Wanda, his wife of 54 years, two daughters; Millie and Susan, his grand children Amber and her husband Cheth, Blake and his wife Alyssia and Kristy. Also surviving is one great-grand daughter, Paisley.

Charles Haenisch

Charles Haenisch, age 90, of Floydada, passed away, Friday, July 24, 2015. His celebration of his life will be Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at the First United Methodist Church in Floydada at 11:00 a.m. Graveside services will be Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the cemetery in Rochelle, Texas, at 11:00 a.m.
Arrangements are under the care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.
Charles Haenisch of Floydada, Texas was the first baby born in Rosebud, Texas in 1925. He attended the public schools in Rosebud and was a proud Class of '46 graduate of Texas A&M.;
He married
Emagene Sansom in Goldthwaite, Texas, on November 9, 1946. She preceded him in death in 2012.
After a 38 year career with the Soil Conservation Service that took them to Goldthwaite, Eden, Lubbock, Stephenville, Alice, and Harlingen, they retired to the family farm in Rochelle, Texas. In 1998 they moved to Floydada to be closer to family. Charles and Emagene became involved and were a vital part of every community in which they lived.
Always active in a variety of areas, Charles was a scout master, an Eagle Scout, and was inducted into the Order of the Arrow with the Boy Scouts. He served on the board of the Baptist General Convention of Texas for many years. Charles served the churches where he lived as a Deacon and taught Sunday School until the age of 85. He was a member of the Lions Club for over fifty years. He was a 32nd degree Mason and belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star. Charles and Emagene both volunteered as readers with elementary school children. They were actively involved with the Floydada SOS. Charles served on the board of the Floyd County Day Care. He was an avid sports enthusiast. He was loved by so many who will miss him and cherish his memory. His laugh and personality could light up a room!
Charles is survived by his son Barry Haenisch and wife Linda of Round Rock, Texas, and daughter Jo Lynn Dean and husband, Bill, of Floydada. He was very proud of his grandchildren Kyle Haenisch of Austin, Texas; Kayce Hale and her husband Curtis of Weatherford, Texas; Angie Dean Tombul (Aggie class of 2000) and her husband David of Reston, Virginia; and Laura Dean Sheppard (Aggie class of 2002) and her husband Chris of Peoria, Illinois. He adored his five great-grandchildren: Carter Hale, LucyLynn Tombul, Avery Sheppard, Tommy Tombul, and Cora Sheppard. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Leona Williams of Burnet, Texas, and nephew Rowland Williams (Aggie class of 1990) and his wife Sharon of Austin, Texas.
The family would like to thank Dr. Stennett and Dr. Moore and all of the staff at WJ Mangold Memorial Hospital for their love and care of Dad. Also, thanks to all of the staff at Shepherd's Meadow for creating a home for Dad for the past three years. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Floydada Senior Citizens.

Steven was born on December 18, 1969 in Lockney to Henry Gutierrez and Marta Luna. He married
the love of his life Norma Martinez on December 16, 2011 in Plainview. He had five children. Steven attended Floydada High School, played football, track and liked wood shop. He loved his Pittsburg Steelers. He enjoyed hanging out at the corner pocket with friends and family. He enjoyed variety of music. Steven loved to farm.
He is preceded in death by his father, Henry Gutierrez, who just recently passed away, a brother; Raymond Gutierrez and grandparents, Presentacion and Maria (Santos) Luna and Silvestre and Espiridiona Gutierrez, a nephew; James Gutierrez and a great niece; Sienna Salazar.
Steven is survived by his wife; Norma Gutierrez of Floydada, his mother; Marta Gutierrez of Floydada, children; Claudette Garcia of Houston, Danielle Martinez of San Angelo, Steven Anthony Gutierrez of Lubbock, Lisa Marie Martinez of Austin, Rudy Dominguez of San Angelo, five sisters; Mary Garza of Plainview, Ruth Gutierrez, Irene Castaneda of Idalou, Kristy Collins of Floydada, Helen Diaz of Floydada, 11 grandchildren, and many other relatives.
Don H. Marble
September 4, 1932 - February 10, 2015

Donley Horace Marble, age 82, of South Plains, passed away in Lubbock, Texas, on February 10, 2015. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church in Floydada at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 13, 2015. Interment
will follow at the Floyd County Memorial Park in Floydada. Visitation will be held at Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Lockney Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Arrangements are under the care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Lockney.
Donley Horace Marble was born September 4, 1932 to Horace and Lillian King Marble in Floydada, Texas. Don married
Nancy Holland December 1, 1956. Don lived most of his life in South Plains, he attended South Plains School and then Floydada High School in the class of 1950. Don served his country proudly in the US Army in the 548th Anti-aircraft Artillery Battalion where he served his last year in Tule, Greenland. He stayed close to his army buddies, attending reunions and hosting one in Lubbock.
Don was a long time cotton farmer. He was the oldest of brothers, Fred and Keith, and together they formed a partnership, Marble Bros. in 1951, while they were all just teenagers. Over the years, they farmed land in Floyd, Hale, Briscoe and Castro counties and forged lifelong friendships with many of their employees, landlords and their families.
Don was a member of South Plains Baptist Church, past President of Plains Cotton Growers and High Plains Research Foundation, High Plains Underground Water District Board member, delegate to the National Cotton Council as well as many other farming related organizations. Don also served on the Texas Tech College of Agricultural Services on the Dean's Advisory Committee.
Don was predeceased by his Mother and Father, Lillian and H.L. Marble as well as his brother Fred Marble and lifelong best friend J.D. Smith.
Don is survived by his wife, Nancy, children Donette Marble of Midland and Brett Marble and wife Gayla of South Plains, Texas. Don is also survived by grandchildren Morgan Espe and husband Chase of Lubbock and Miles Marble of Lubbock, Texas. Also surviving Don is his brother, Keith Marble and wife, Neta of South Plains, sister June Wells and husband Marvin, of Denton, Texas and sister-in-law Carolyn Marble, also of South Plains as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Neva Baxter
September 18, 1926 - September 29, 2014

Neva Baxter, age 88, of Floydada, passed to her eternal reward Monday, September 29, 2014, at her residence. Graveside Service will be 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at the Floyd County Memorial Park in Floydada with Pastor Tim Franks officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.
Neva was born on September 18, 1926 in Collingsworth County to J. T. and Maudie Harrrison. She had celebrated her 88th birthday Thursday, the 18th. She graduated from Wellington High School in May, 1943, and from Draughon's Business College in Amarillo, Texas, February, 1950. Then she came to Floydada and worked as County Office Clerk with USDA Farmers Home Administration 30 years.
It was in Floydada that she met and married
a farmer, Roy Baxter, September 22, 1956. He preceeded her in death three months and one day, June 28, 2014.
After retiring from FHA, Neva joined Roy volunteering time and labor on mission efforts through Texas Baptist Men eight to nine months of the year for 20 years. They made many good friends with like-minded faith and desire to help others.
When not building, Neva was still thinking of the needy by sewing clothing for children here and in other countries, doing background work for missions, sewing "Ugly" quilts, knitting hundreds of caps for adults and children, and cooking. She stitched small Teddy Bears for children and made bags and sleepers for Kids Camp. In the past Neva helped determine the correction of donated eyeglasses which were given to those in need on mission trips to Mexico. She grew her hair long and donated it to a lady as well. At the end of the day she enjoyed playing "84" with friends. She was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church since 1944.
Neva is survived by one brother, Aubrey Harrison and wife, Nadene, of Sacramento, California, and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and three sisters.
