Frances Juanita Weathersbee, age 88, of Floydada, passed away, Wednesday, January 21, 2015. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Floydada with Dr. Tim Marrow officiating. Burial will be at the Fairview cemetery in Memphis, Texas. Arrangements are under the care of Moore Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.
Frances was born in Memphis, Texas, on February 12, 1926. She worked as a teletype setter for the Dallas Morning News. She taught the Faith Sunday School class at the First Baptist Church for many years and was also a member of the Good Sam's Travel Club. Frances was a talented quilter and enjoyed blessing her family and friends with her hand-stitched quilts.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, 9 siblings, two loving husbands, one son, and a step-granddaughter.
She is survived by her daughter, Lee Finley of Plainview and her son Gil Harrell of St. Petersburg, Florida. She is also survived by her step-son, Tommy Weathersbee of Galveston and her step-daughter, Leigh Evans of Tyler. Frances was blessed with 5 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

LaJuana Leibrfied Jackson, age 88, passed away, Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Shepherds House with all her children present. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 27, 2014 at the First United Methodist Chapel in Floydada with Eddy Allsup and Ken Peterson officiatin. Burial will follow in the Floyd County Memorial park in Floydada. Arrangements are under the personal care of Moore- Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.
Mrs. Jackson is the only child of Bennie and Lorin Leibfried. She was born at home on a farm east of Floydada on November 3, 1925. She was married
for 68 years to Jiggs Jackson. LaJuana graduated from Texas Tech and was a Science teacher at Cotton Center and Perryton. She retired with 25 years of experience.
She is preceded in death by her husband, and her parents.
Those left to cherish her memory are; one daughter, Suzanne Jackson, two sons; Rusty Jackson and wife Virginia and Mike Jackson and wife Linda. She was also blessed with one granddaughter, Mindy and husband Matt Scheffrahn, and two great-grandchildren, Josephine and Benjamin.
In Lieu of Flowers the family suggests donations be made to Perryton First United Methodist Church or Texas Tech.

Janice "PeeWee" Perryman, age 74, of Roaring Springs, passed away, Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at her home. Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Roaring Springs. Arrangements are under the care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.
PeeWee was born January 16, 1940 in Roaring Springs to William Milton and Modean Louise (Warren) Brooks. She loved to laugh and have a great time with her family. PeeWee was a member of the First Baptist Church in Roaring Spring.
She is preceded in death by her husband and parents.
PeeWee is survived by three daughters; Kim and husband Richard Traywick, Lisa and husband Gary Simpson, Lanita and husband Jimmy Geer, one son; Danny and wife Angela Perryman, 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Memorials may be made in Janice Perryman's name to the First Baptist Church in Roaring Springs.

Ryan Tate Baird, age 16, son of Carrie Baird of Silverton, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, April 24, 2015. Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the Rock Creek Church of Christ in Silverton. Visitation will be held at the visitation center in Silverton, Texas on April 29, 2015 from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. Interment

Ryan was a Junior at Silverton High School in Silverton, Texas. He was involved in the FFA Program and was preparing for the upcoming football year. Ryan's favorite classes were History and Ag. He had a passion for history and loved sharing his knowledge. He enjoyed school and his teachers. Ryan had been attending the Methodist Church of Silverton. Everything that Ryan did he did to the fullest. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, getting stuck in mud, telling stories, farming, lifting weights, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with the ones he loved. Ryan Tate Baird was a amazing young man and will truly be miss by all that knew him. Fly High Tuffy! We will always love and carry your loving spirit with us.
Loved ones that preceed him in death are, Grandmother; Vici Baird, Great-Grandparents; Elizabeth Baird & Alva C, Nelda Jasper, and Father Jacob Leatherwood.

Sammie Vickers McCulloch, age 82, passed away Sunday August 2, 2015 at Hospice of the Southwest, Childer Place, after a brief illness. Graveside Service will be 11:00 a.m., August 19, 2015 at the Floydada cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.
Sammie was born August 19, 1932 in Kiowa County, OK to James and Vera Vickers. The family moved to Floydada where she attended school and graduated high school. In May of 1951 she married
Jerry Lee McCulloch of Lockney and became a military wife living in Fort Worth, TX, Rapid City, SD, Plainview, TX and settled in Amarillo where they raised four children. Sammie worked at Meads Bakery, Levi Strauss, as a Nanny for a very special family and lastly at Amarillo Towne Club. Tulia Health and Rehab was her residence for the past 2 ½ years. "Her laughter could light up a room and make you feel happy" was often stated among her family and friends. She loved sports including Bowling, Women's Softball and most of all – college basketball – March Madness was her very favorite. Sammie will be remembered for the love she gave so generously to her family and friends and will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and seven brothers.
Sammie is survived by her daughters, Janie Mechell (Jerry) of Arlington, TX, Valerie Johnson (Ron) of Elephant Butte, NM and Shelly Albright of Amarillo, TX, son, Jerry Lee McCulloch, Jr. of Howardwick, TX, sisters, Frances James of Bella Vista, AR and Gayle Scott (Jimmie) of Tulia, TX, ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Ignacio Espinoza, Jr. was born on February 22, 1943 to Ignacio Sr. and Pabla (Carabajal) Espinoza in Mathis, Tx. He moved to Floydada in 1959 and was a farm worker for many years. He married
Juanita Luna on January 17, 1998. He was a member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church. He was a good loving man and enjoyed being with his family. Ignacio loved spending time with all of his grandkids, enjoyed dancing, family get together's, and loved working on all things. He was a hard working man; he was the greatest man and we were all blessed to have him in our lives. He will be missed and will always be in our hearts.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ignacio Sr. and Pabla Espinoza, two brothers; Jose Senobio Espinoza, Fernando Espinoza, a daughter; Dalia Espinoza, and a sister; Ofelia Espinoza.

Reverend James Alvin Greene, age 68, of Turkey, passed away, Friday, March 13, 2015 in his sleep in Galveston, Tx after a long battle with multiple illnesses. James "Jim" Alvin Greene was born on December 19, 1946 to James and Letha Eilene Greene. Rev. Greene worked as an auto mechanic for many years in addition to being a pastor of several churches, including the Assembly of God Church in Silverton, Tx. He also loved fishing, hunting and playing with his grandson Samuel. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by three sons; Monte Greene of Colorado Springs, Co, Kenny Greene and Tommy Greene of Nocona, Tx, nine siblings; Bob Greene of Edmond, Ok, Kay Kilgore of St. Louis, MO, Wayne Greene of Alamosa, CO, Pat Williams of St. Louis, MO, Richard Greene, Bill Greene, of Turkey, TX, Roy Greene of Kingman, AZ, Brenda Hawkins of Moffett, CO and Albert Greene of Turkey, Tx, 2 grandchildren, and 24 nieces and nephews.
