Frances LaVern Kingery, age 81, of Silverton, passed away, Saturday, October 4, 2014. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at the Church of Christ in Silverton with Lupe Naceanceno officiating. Burial will follow at Roaring Springs cemetery in Motley County. Arrangements are under thecare of Moore Rose Funeral Home in Quitaque.

Edwina Davis
January 27, 1936 - August 7, 2015
Silverton, Texas

Edwina (Tina) passed away due to natural causes on Friday, August 7, 2015 in Tulia, Texas. Tina was age 79 at the time of her death. Tina resided in Silverton, Texas most of her life.

Tina was born on January 27, 1936 in Hale Center, Texas. Her parents were Thelma Shelley and Haskell Jackson. She was married to Billie Joe Davis in Februray 1951. Tina went to school until her eighth grade year when she started working at her family's restaurant. She was a bus driver for the Silverton school. Tina became self employed house cleaner for many residences of Silverton. Later in life, Tina got her GED and took typing and home health classes at Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, TX. Her hobbies included sewing, embroidering, reading her bible, and most importantly spending time with family and friends. She had a hard time with retirement; she loved working and doing things for others. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Silverton, Texas.

Edwina is survived by grandson Terry Davis, his wife Stephanie, and their children Jordan Werry, Maddy Warner, and soon to be Thomas Edwin Davis of Marysville, WA; granddaughter Trista Bullock, her husband Andy, and their boys Austin, Brendan, Brylon, and Brayden of Marysville, WA; granddaughter Kayla McCarley, her husband Chad, and their children Mikel, Kandiss, Deyton, and Brynlie of Tulia, TX; grandson Brandon Stephens of Silverton, TX; granddaughter Angela Lewis and her children Averli Segura, Liliana, Noah, Olivia, and soon to be named baby of Floydada, TX; granddaughter Kassi Yancey and her girls Kaydence English and Sadie Miles of Plainview, TX; grandson Blake Jasper of Silverton, TX; granddaughter Belle Cowdrey of Silverton, TX. She is also survived by many family and friends including but not limited to cousin Francis Ann Gamble and her family of Silverton, TX; cousin Barbara Deckard and her family of Silverton, TX; Brenda and Billy Cowdrey of Silverton, TX.

Edwina is predeceased by her husband Billie Joe Davis, January 2002; her daughter Patsy Ann Davis, November 2001, her son Tommy Jeff Davis, April 24, 2007; her brother; her sister, and her parents.

Services will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 10:00 am at the First Baptist Church in Silverton, Texas with grave side services to follow. The service will be officiated by Ed Norris. The pallbearers are Brandon Stephens, Larry Edwards, Lance Stidham, Anthony Gamble, LeRoi Massey, and Zeb Holt. Honorary pallbearers are Odell Edwards, Danny Edwards, Dewaine Reynolds, and Able Asebedo. Visitation will be all day on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at the Moore Rose Funeral Home.

The family would like to express their thanks to all that have been there for Tina and Moore Rose Funeral Home. Tina was everyone's Nanny.

Linda Lee Stallings
September 7, 1940 - December 22, 2014
Lockney, Texas

Linda Lee Stallings, age 74, of Lockney, passed away, Monday, December 22, 2014. Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 29, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Lockney with Dan Shaeffer officiating. Arrangements are under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Lockney.

Linda was an active member of the First Baptist Church, she taught Sunday school and G.A's. She was a member of the Mary Martha Sunday school class. She was a book buddy with Lockney Schools. Linda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her desserts will be missed by many.

She is survived by her husband Claude Stallings of the home. Her children; Lou Ann Skinner and husband Randy of Canyon, Jo Beth Dietrich and husband Michael of Providence, Allen Stallings and wife Carolyn of Plainview, two sisters; Sharon Thompson and Judy Ainsworth, a brother; Terry Lee, 7 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, L.W. and Beatrice Lee and a sister, Vada Glasscock.

Memorial gifts may be made in Linda's name to the First Baptist Church at 401 S. Main, Lockney, Texas 79241.

Bruce Atkinson
September 26, 1953 - August 16, 2015
Floydada, Texas

Bruce Atkinson, age 61, of Floydada, passed away, Sunday, August 16, 2015. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Carr's Chapel cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Moore Rose Funeral Home of Floydada.

Bruce was a Navy veteran of service in Vietnam, Bruce was a lifelong member of the VFW and the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors, enjoyed movies, especially westerns and action films as well as spending time with his family.

Bruce was preceded in death by his father Ray Atkinson, mother Goldie Atkinson, wife Beth Atkinson.

He is survived by his brother Larry Atkinson, sister-in-law Neva Atkinson, stepson Chris Arnold, daughter-in-law Donna Arnold, stepson Jay Arnold, daughter-in-law Beth Arnold, nephew Matthew Atkinson, niece Melissa Atkinson, grandchildren Caroline Arnold, Joey Arnold, Joshua Pope, Ashley Neenan, Morgan Kirkland, Sahara Hundley and 8 great-grandchildren.

Glenda Francis
November 13, 1936 - December 9, 2014
Silverton, Texas

Glenda Juan McCracken Francis, age 78, of Silverton, passed away, Tuesday, December 9, 2014. Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 15, 2014 at the Rock Creek Church of Christ. Interment icon will follow at the Silverton cemetery. Visitation will be at 2:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m., Sunday, December 14, 2014 at the Moore-Rose Visitation Center in Silverton. Arrangements are under the care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home..

Glenda was born November 13, 1936, in Lubbock, to Amos Boone and Floye Mae Carter McCracken, Glenda grew up in the community of Gasoline, Texas. Proud to be a Quitaque Pantherette, Glenda was the valedictorian of the 1955 graduating class of Quitaque High School. On July 1, 1955, she married William Alvie Francis of Silverton, at the Quitaque Church of Christ. Alvie and Glenda resided together on their farm southwest of Silverton, until her lengthy illness took her away. Glenda was a member of the Rock Creek Church of Christ.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Stewart Boone McCracken of Tulia.

She is survived by her husband, one son, Barry and Michelle Francis of Silverton; and two daughters, Becky and Kevin Drew of Coppell, and Katy and Wayne Henderson of Lubbock; one sister, Paulita McCracken Young of Tucson, Arizona. Glenda was also survived by ten grandchildren: Jared and Chantell Francis of Silverton, Nathan and Brenna Francis of Dallas, Andrew and Marka Francis of Halfway, Caleb and Chelsea Francis of Haslet, Jacob and Erika Francis of Tulia, Patrick and Kendra Drew of Farmers Branch, Matthew Drew of Baton Rouge, Lousiana, Kaitlyn Drew of College Station, Sarah Henderson of Seattle, Washington, Annie Henderson of Lubbock; and eight great grandchildren: Brenna, Maddie and Laney Francis of Silverton, Dane and Tate Francis of Dallas, Wyatt and Blakely Francis of Halfway, and Hudson Francis of Haslet.

Rickey Lawrence
February 6, 1954 - October 27, 2014
Paducah, Texas

Rickey Givens Lawrence, age 60, of Paducah, passed away, Monday, October 27, 2014. Graveside Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, October 30, 2014 at the East Mound cemetery in Matador with Cody Cochran officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.

Rickey Givens Lawrence was born on February 6, 1954 to his parents Givens and Billie Ruth Lawrence. He passed from this life and went to be with his Savior on Monday, October 27, 2014 after attaining the age of 60 years. Rickey was born, raised and graduated in Motley County, where he would also make a life for his family in the years to come. Rickey started leading Church services at Roaring Springs Full Gospel Church, where he eventually became Pastor for 12 years. Following that time, he became Interim Pastor at High Plains Cowboy Church in Levelland for 3 years. He also helped start numerous Cowboy Churches in the area. Most recently, Rickey was Pastor at Faith Fellowship in Matador. Rickey was also involved in Law Enforcement for over 20 years, serving as both Sheriff's Deputy and Sheriff. Rickey was an old fashioned cowboy who was always there with a handshake or hug. He touched a countless number of people with his ministry. He answered the call on his life and he truly was a Servant to the Lord. Rickey loved to preach the Gospel and he also loved his cattle. He loved to be in the country with his cows and he wanted dearly to be a Gentleman Rancher; just him, his cows and a few acres made him truly happy.

Lastly, his family the most near and dear to his heart; his beloved wife Naomi, whom he was married for 39 years; son, Chad and wife Denise and the two that could always put a smile on his face, Bailea "Boo" and Culley "Little Man" Lawrence: His little girl and his little cowboy. Rickey is also survived by his sister Kathy Lawrence and family of Louisiana and numerous other family members from near and far.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, LaRece Estes and Linda Lawrence, a nephew Jody and a son, Casey Dee.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Faith Fellowship P.O. Box 526 Matador, TX 79244.

Stoney Phil Hubbard
June 28, 1975 - November 3, 2014
Silverton, Texas

Stoney Phil Hubbard, age 39, of Silverton, passed away, Monday, November 3, 2014. Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Silverton cemetery with Rance Young officiating. Visitation will be 9 a.m. - 8 p.m., Friday, November 7, 2014 at the Moore-Rose Visitation Center in Silverton. Arrangements are under the care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Quitaque.

Stoney was born on June 28, 1975 to Phil and Kathi (Perkins) Hubbard in Lockney, Texas. He married Lena (Patino) Hubbard on August 8, 2008. Stoney loved his kids and being a family man. He was a truck driver, and loved his dog C.B.

He is survived by his wife; Lena Hubbard, a son; Kaison Hubbard both of Silverton, daughter; A.J. Hubbard of Amarillo, parents; Phil and Kathi (Perkins) Hubbard, a brother; Teddy Hubbard of Silverton.

Scott Whiteley Stark
July 5, 1953 - March 31, 2015
Quitaque, Texas

Scott Whiteley Stark 61, of Quitaque went to his eternal home on March 31, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 3, 2015, at the First Baptist Church in Quitaque. Interment icon will follow at the Resthaven cemetery in Quitaque. Arrangements are under the care of Moore Rose Funeral Home in Quitaque.

Scotty was born in Plainview Tx on July 5, 1953 and graduated from Quitaque High School in 1970. Scotty attended college at West Texas State University but returned to Quitaque to make a life becoming a farmer. He was a man of the land and could grow anything he put in the ground. He loved gardening, fishing, and anything to do with toiling the soil. He had a gift of music and played by ear, he could play any instrument put in his hands. He attended Fairmont Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Quitaque. His life was filled with friends and family that loves him.

He was preceded in death by his Father O.R Stark Jr.

He is survived by his lifelong friend Sandra Proffitt, his Mother Mary Stark Henry of Nacogdoches Tx, a sister Sherry Braden and her husband Rick of Nacogdoches Tx, a brother; Randy Stark and his wife Linda of Quitaque, two sons; Brandon Stark of Amarillo, Tx, Micah Stark of Laquita Ca., a daughter; Samantha Lange and her husband Cade of Tulia Tx., 4 Grandchildren; Brady Stark of Lubbock, Taylor And Bodey Lange of Tulia, and Kaleb Stark of Laquita Ca.

The family suggests memorials be sent in Lou of flowers to Hospice hands of West Texas 305 N Main St Lockney, Texas 79241.
