Hazel Richardson of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Friday, November 5, 2004 at the age of 94. She was born in Spurger, Texas to Bert and Ida Haire on May 10, 1910.
She is survived by her sons, Walt “Chico” Richardson and wife, Letitia of Spring, Texas, Jerry Richardson of Indiana, Pennsylvania; granddaughters, Cyndi Lawton and husband, Mark of Spring, Texas, Traci Samford and husband, Curtis of The Woodlands, Texas; great-grandchildren, Callie and Lindsey Lawton of Spring, Texas, Cody and Ty Samford of The Woodlands, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, November 8, 2004, 10:00 a.m. at Pace-Stancil/Probst Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Bro. Bob Wood conducted the service. A special thank you to the pallbearers, Mark Lawton, Curtis Samford, Cody Samford, Ty Samford, Harry Almany and Charlie Adams that guided her to her final resting place, Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens.

Murray Wayne Burr, of Coldspring, Texas, passed away, August 6, 2004 at the age of 51. He was born in Point Blank, Texas to Robert and Gracie Burr on January 6, 1953. He is survived by his mother, Gracie Durdin of Oakhurst, TX; sisters, Lillie Lowe and husband, Tom of Porter, TX, Dorothe McFadden and husband, Rickie of Willow Springs, TX, Velma Oates and husband, Jesse of Willow Springs, TX, Martha Oates and husband, Wyatt of Cleveland, TX; brother, Phillip Burr and wife, Barbara of Hemphill, TX; numerous nieces and nephew and other loving and caring family members and friends beyond measure. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 12, 2004, 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Coldspring, Texas. Bro. Dale Kelley will conduct the funeral service Friday, August 13, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at The Full Gospel Church, Oakhurst, Texas with interment immediately following at Point Blank Cemetery, Point Blank, Texas.
WELCH
Casey Jacob Welch, of Spring, Texas, passed away August 7, 2004 at the age of 20. He was born in Chanute, Kansas to Timothy Lane Welch and Marcetta Peck Helms on November 14, 1983. One of many passions was his love of golf. His dream of playing, working and improving his abilities was his strong desire. He is survived by his loving mother Marcetta Helms and step-father, David; his loving father, Timothy Welch; and his devoted brothers, Sonny Welch and wife, Kristina, Shawn Welch and wife, Leah; his nephews, Samuel Welch and Seth Welch. He had numerous aunts and uncles and other loving and caring family members and friends beyond measure. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, August 13, 2004, 1:00 p.m. at Thayer Christian Church, Thayer, Kansas with Rev. Jim Pelley conducting the service.
NORCROSS
Dovie B. Norcross, 89, of Dayton passed away at her home, Tuesday, August 10, 2004. A native of Lovelady, Texas, Mrs. Norcross had lived in Dayton since 1924. She graduated from Dayton High School in 1932 and attended Mary Hardin Baylor, Lamar University, and Lee College. She taught 18 years for Dayton I.S.D. Mrs. Norcross was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dayton where she was the Historian of the church and wrote the history of Dayton First United Methodist. She was also instrumental in organizing the Dayton United Methodist Women in which she was a life member. She was a55 year member Dayton O.E.S.; a Past Matron of the Dayton 233 O.E.S; Charter member of District 4, Section 4 P.M.P.P Club and Past Grand Rep. of Massachusetts in Texas; member of the Pioneer Student Association of D.H.S. and member Linney Cemetery Association. Service for Mrs. Norcross, will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 14, 2004 at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jay Barnes officiating. Interment will follow at Linney Cemetery under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton. She was preceded in death by her husband: Walter R. Norcross; daughter: Leah Norcross Berry; sisters: Ina Mae Croft, Tommie Cude Frosco, and Mary Abshire. She is survived by her son: Jimmie Walter Norcross, Sr. of Flippen, Arkansas; brother: T. A. Cude and five grandchildren: Shawn Berry, Mark Berry, Leah Schaatt, Jimmie Norcross, Jr. and Leslie Chambers; and nine great-grandchildren. For those who desire memorials may be made to the Dayton Pioneer Club or the Jones Library. Annie Ione Jeffcoat lived in Cleveland for many years. She passed away Friday, August 13, 2004 at the age of 90. She was born in Burns, Mississippi to Andrew Jackson and Allie Harris on August 22, 2004.
She is survived by her loving husband, Paul Jeffcoat; one son, Paul Russell Jeffcoat and wife, Marlyss of Sugarland, TX; three grandchildren, Allison, Michelle and Holly Jeffcoat; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other family members and friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, August 16, 2004, 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Shepherd, Texas. Dr. Preston Baker conducted the service with interment at Lovett Cemetery, Shepherd, Texas.

Letha Faye Painter, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2004 at the age of 80. She was born in Maydelle, Texas to Levi Uris and Minnie Lou Newcomer on August 28, 1923.
She is survived by her loving husband, Paul E. Painter; daughters, Billie Sue Newcomb and husband, Johnny of Conroe, TX, Ginger Massey and husband, Bubba of St. Simons Islands, GA, Linda Brannon of Cleveland, TX; son, James E. Smith and wife, Judy of Shepherd, TX; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grand-children and two great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be held, Tuesday. August 17, 2004, 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 18, 2004, 2:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil/Probst Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Pastor Dean Love will conduct the service with interment immediately following at Cleveland Memorial Park Cemetery.

Clarence E. Harris of New Caney, Texas, passed away Monday, August 16, 2004 at the age of 77. He was born in Thomaston, Georgia to Clarence Henry and Myrtice Harris on February 8, 1927.
He is survived by his wife, H. Annette Harris; five sons, Michael Harris, Stephen Harris, James Harris, Tim Harris, Todd Harris and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, August 19, 2004, 10:00 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, New Caney, Texas. James Palmer conducted the service with interment at Houston National Cemetery, Houston, Texas.

Services for Levella (Beasley) Collins of Romayor, Texas will be held Friday, October 1, 2004, 2:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil/Probst Chapel, 103 E. Crockett, Cleveland, Texas. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 30, 2004, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home.
Mrs. Collins was born October 5, 1913 in Trinity County, Texas, the daughter of Della Harriet (Womack) and Anderson Thomas Beasley and she died September 29, 2004 in Livingston, Texas. She was a homemaker and loved cooking and having family visits.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in law, Frank and Margie Collins of Romayor, Texas, Sherman and Anne Collins of Lufkin, Texas, Jimmy and Pat Collins of Cleveland, Texas, Garry and Beth Collins of Forney; nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and countless friends.
She is preceded by her husband, Seidel Collins; brothers Buford Beasley, Lemuel Beasley, Thomas Beasley; sisters, Lillian Vaughn, Beaulah Beasley, Doner Dunn, Maggie Foster, Berta Cleverdon and Meredith Blake.
Interment will be at Romayor Cemetery, Romayor, Texas.

Pearl Irene Letien of Cleveland, Texas, died, Tuesday, September 28, 2004, 10:00 a.m. at the age of 85. She was born in Houston, Texas to K.A. and Ella Ehrlund on September 16, 1919.
She is survived by her sons, Clifford W. Letien anad Jim W. Letien; grandchildren, Kevin Lethien, Kimberly Barnes, Kenneth W. Letrien, Kristine Marie Benedetto, Kelly Bailey, Randy Carson and Sandy Benson; great-grandchildren, Rhyn, Timothy, Tyson, Riley Carson, Brittany, Brittany, Joshua Benson, Lauren Bailey, Dominick Benedetto, Kayla, Nathan Letien and Jacob Barnes.

Clyde Elliot Jordan, Sr. of Camilla, Texas, passed away Saturday, October 30, 2004 at the age of 72. He was born in Camilla, Texas to Obie Lee and Bertha Lee Jordan on July 19, 1932. He retired from United Gas Pipeline after 37 years.
