Mary Helen Bush, a resident of Splendora, Texas, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at the 66. She was born in Opelousas, Louisiana on December 16, 1938 to Thaddeus and Mae Kidder of whom preceded her in death along with her son, Curtis Richard; brother, Curtis Kidder; and her sister, Elsie Richard.
She is survived by her husband, Jess L. Bush of Splendora, Texas; daughters, Connie Ann Shaw and husband, Tom L. of Dallas, Texas, Mary Raynette Rude and husband, Garry Rude of Kingwood, Texas; sons, Mike Richard and wife, Teresa of Porter, Texas, Thaddeus Joseph Barnett of Splendora, Texas, grandchildren, Jason Hooper, Lee Thomas Shaw and wife, Cheryl, Bridgette Lindley and husband, John,
Chancy Kellar and wife, Robin, Michael Harrington and wife, Lindsey, Amanda Parks, Jonathan Parks, Nicholas Parks, Joshua Barnett, Ryan Barnett, Annette Barnett, great-grandchildren, Dahlia Marie Shaw; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other cherished family and friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, January 21, 2005, 10:00 a.m. at Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church, Porter, Texas. Rev. Mike Richard conducted the service with interment at Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens, Cleveland, Texas.
Rucker
Martin Rucker, 91, passed away Monday, January 24, 2005. He was born in Runge, Texas to M.B. and Lelia Rucker on May 31, 1913.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, 1/27/05, 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Splendora, Texas with interment at Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens.

Jofrances Washburn of Cleveland, Texas passed away peacefully in her home Friday, January 28, 2005 after a long battle with a terminal illness. She was born in Cleveland, Texas to Joe E. and Irene Stephens, Jr. on January 5, 1936 both of whom preceded her in death along with her son, Carlos Wayne Washburn. She was very well known throughout the community and will surely be missed by all. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Carlos E. Washburn; daughters, Judy Stewart and husband, Wayne, Patsy Freeman and husband, Mike; her son, Dennis Earl Washburn and wife, Lori; brother, Elmer Dwight Stephens and wife, Connie; grandchildren, Brandon Alsobrooks, Colby Wells, Ashley Twitty, Jeff Washburn, Stephanie F. Jakie Leon Stubblefield of Dayton, Texas, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at the age of 62. He was born in Dayton, Texas to Edward J. and Bernice Stubblefield on September 27, 1942. Jakie is survived by his companion, Doris Garrett; daughters, Linda Stubblefield, Carolyn Butcher; son, Frankie Stubblefield; sister, Lillie Gore; brothers, Rusty Stubblefield, George Stubblefield; nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and numerous other loving and caring family members and countless friends. Ladys B. Kyle of Shepherd, Texas, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at the age of 81. She was born in Shepherd, Texas to George Monroe and Margaret Ellen Hood on February 14, 1923. She is preceded in death by children, Sherry Ellen Murphy and husband, David, Windred Luke Kyle and wife, Edith, Rosemary Cockrum and partner, Ray Overbay; grandchildren, David Luke Murphy, Sheila Lackey, Tammy Murphy, Michale Murphy, Clyde Thomas Cockrum III, Kendra Cotton, Krystal Stout, Kimberly Keen, Travis Kyle, Kevin Kyle; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Hugh Hood and wife, Violet (Pete); twin sister, Gladys Foster; sister-in-law, Callie Hood; many nieces and nephews and a host of other loving and caring family members and countless friends. BETTY JOHNSON
Zerilda Elisabeth “Betty” Johnson, a long-time resident of Cleveland, Texas passed away February 05, 2005 at Trinity Mother Francis Hospital in Tyler, Texas, at the age of 92. She was born December 24, 1912 in Harrisburg, Texas to Robert Dixon Reed and Maude Ethel Hall Reed. She was an active member of Oak Shade Baptist Church for several years, and touched many lives through teaching children and also adult Sunday School classes. She was a wonderful mother and friend, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Horace Edward Johnson; her son, Floyd Edward Johnson; and one great-grandson, Lane Edward Lawson. She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Elaine Bacon and her husband, Jim. Also surviving are grandchildren: Donald Johnson and wife, Cindy “Sam”; Charles Johnson and wife, Robbye; Charmayne Johnson Redd and husband, David; and Amanda Bacon Couch and husband, Joshua. Surviving great-grandchildren are Casey and Dean Johnson, Ashlee and Alizabeth Johnson, Hunter Lawson and Derek Redd. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 8, 2005 in the Pace Stancil funeral home chapel, with interment at Oak Shade Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas. The family greatly appreciates the many acts of kindness and thoughtfulness from friends and her church family.

Tommy Joe Nettles, Sr., 59, of Coldspring, Texas passed away Sunday, February 6, 2005, in Conroe, TX. He was born December 19, 1945 in LaGrange, Texas to Joe and Carrie Nettles that preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife; Marilyn J. Nettles, daughters; Melisa Walling and her husband Brad, Michelle Ellis and her husband, Stacy, son; T. J. Nettles, Jr. and wife, Lauri, grandchildren; Morgan Ellis, Hunter Walling, Alexis Nettles, Courtney Nettles, Blakelea Nettles, Skylar Ellis, Sydney Walling, brother; Royce Gene Nettles and wife Doris, mother in law; Lucile Morgan. Elberta Dockens, 95, of Splendora, Texas passed away Monday, February 7, 2005, in Humble, TX. She was born April 10, 1909 in Angelina County to James and Nettie Vaught. Mrs. Dockens was preceded in death by her husband, William Elvis Dockens and great granddaughter, April Michelle Parker. She is survived by her daughters: Oletha Price and Gwandolyn Jacobs and her husband, R.L.; sons: Waymon Dockens and wife, Earline, and Billy Dockens and wife, Frankie; 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren. Pearl Geraldine Walling of Coldspring, Texas, passed away Friday, February 11, 2005 at the age of 91. She was born in Shepherd, Texas to Sid and Millie Carlisle on September 17, 1913. She is survived by her sisters, Elizabeth Redfield, Lena Rae Wagner; numerous nieces, nephews,

Idell Holloway Byrd of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Monday, February 14, 2005 at the age of 98. She was born in San Augustine, Texas to George and Sarah Warr Holloway on November 13, 1906 which have preceded her in death along with her loving husband, Birt P. Raymond E. Neslony, Sr. born on August 30, 1925, entered eternal rest on February 18, 2005. He is survived by his wife, Anne; four children, Rebecca Beaty, Phyllis Henry, Paula Ammerman, and Ray Neslony, Jr.; eight grandchildren, and three brothers, Joseph Neslony of Waco, Bernard Neslony of Corpus Christi, and Daniel Neslony of San Antonio.
