Virginia C. Guynes, age 78, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2005. She was born February 3, 1927 to James David and Sarah Leonis Cheek in Nacogdoches, Texas. Funeral Services were held Tuesday, April 26, 2005, 2:00 p.m. at Bear Creek Baptist Church, Cleveland, Texas with interment at Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens Cleveland, Texas. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Taylor of Cleburne, Texas, sister, Rebecca Thompson of Roanoke, Virginia; brothers, James Randall Cheek of Garland, Texas, Edward Cheek of Azle, Texas; granddaughter, Cassandra Renea Arnold; great-grandchildren, Sara and Hope Arnold, Gary Allen Collier; great-great-grandchild, Austin Collier and other loving and caring family members and friends.

GROSS

David “Heavy” Gross, age 51, born in Houston, TX, passed away April 24, 2005. He lived in Gary, TX and was in the wrecker and auto service. He is survived by his wife, Angeline Gross; daughters, Sharlett “Toni” Coulliette and husband, James, Melissa McCumber and husband, Mickel, Penny Georges and fiancé, Daniel; mother, Bessie Gross; brother, Joe Gross, sister, Susan Wells and Jimmy, grandchildren, Tanner and Tagen Coulliette, Madison, Mason, and Mechelle McCumber; and a host of other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Gross; brothers, Charles Gross, Jr., Carl Wayne Gross; and sister, Pat Moran.

His funeral service was held Thursday, April 28, 2005, 1:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Brookside Cemetery, Houston, TX.

SMITH

Lois Smith, age 59, from Cleveland, Texas, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2005. She was born in Cleveland, Texas to Leroy and Ollie Wilkerson on October 24, 1945.

She is survived by her children, Vicki Smith and husband, James, Carl Shirley, Jr. and wife, Connie, Scott Shirley and wife, Kim, Greg Shirley and wife, Cheryl, Kent Shirley and wife, Debbie; sisters, Ruby Wisdom, Helen Wilkerson, Jessie Troutman; brother, William Wilkerson; thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Ollie Wilkerson and her brother, L.R. Wilkerson.

Rev. George Hayden conducted graveside services held Friday, April 29, 2005, 2:00 p.m. at Pin Oak Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas.

CLEMOW

Norman Ray Clemow, age 33, of Houston, Texas passed away Monday, April 25, 2005. He was born to Harris Nelson and Sharon Kay Clemow III on October 31, 1971.

He is survived by his mother, Sharon Kay Clemow; grandfather, Nathan Johnson and wife, Martha; brother, Nathan Clemow; sister, Melony Clemow; brother-in-law, Kermitt A. Gunter, Jr.; aunt, Alice Goodman; nieces and nephews, Kara, Sharah, Brandy, Cody, Christopher, Kermitt, III; cousins, Anna, Karne, Kathryn, Zakk, Amanda, Cristine and Alice and many other loving and caring family member and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 28, 2005, 1:00 p.m. Evergreen Cemetery, Evergreen Community, Cleveland, Texas.

Bennett

Shelton Paul Bennett, age 62, of Cleveland, Texas passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2005. He was born to Ciscero W. and Viola Allen Bennett on July 13, 1942.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Bennett; daughter, Barbara Copper and husband Randy; son, Bobby Bennett; sister, Patsy VanNorman; brother, Larry Bennett and wife Glenda; grandchildren, Amy Cooper, Cody Cooper and Dylan Cooper.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 02, 2005, 11:00 a.m. Pace Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Cleveland, Texas, with interment at Houston National Cemetery, Houston, Texas.

Zakaria Lee Echhade, Jr. known to many as “Little Zak”, 1 Year, 10 months, 25 days old, passed away April 29, 2005. He was born June 4, 2003 to Zakkaria Lee Echhade, Sr. and Michelle Lynn Judalet in Livingston, Texas.

He is survived by his parents; sisters, Lexis Michelle Echhade and Kiersten Lynn Echhade; grandparents, Vernon Wright, Carrie Judalet, Jodie Long, Loutfi Echhade, Granny Little, and Roth Dacus; great-grandparents, Barbara Spore and Donna Long; great-aunts, Sissy Vannier, Mary Templin, Jackie Judalet, Pam McDougle; great-uncles, Wallace Judalet, Fred Vannier, Bobby Judklet, Zack Echhade, Ali Echhade, Oliver McDougle; aunts, Melissa Judalet, Carrie S. Colmesneil Cemetery, Colmesneil, Texas.

WIGGINS

Dennis Lee Wiggins, age 50, of Vidor Texas, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2005. He was born in Revena, Ohio to Harry and Lorraine Wiggins on March 18, 1955.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Millican Wiggins; daughters, Alicia Wiggins, Tonya Wiggins, Tosha Wiggins; sisters, Brenda Thomas, Marceina Wiggins, Millie Parker, Wanda Wiggins; brothers, Thomas Wiggins, Sr., Ronald Wiggins, Leeroy Wiggins; grandchildren, Kayla Hall, Chelsea Fulcher, Kaytlynn Hall, Kelsey Hall, Joshua Wiggins, Cody Broussard, Christopher Murphy; ten nephews; fourteen nieces and those who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 6, 2005, 11:00 a.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Rev. James Parrish conducted the service with interment at Farley Chapel Cemetery, Shepherd, Texas. Visitation will be Thursday, May 5, 2005 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home.

Whitton

Willie “Bo” Odell Whitton, age 73, of Cleveland, Texas passed away Saturday, April 30, 2005. He was born to John Sallas and Maggie Lewis Whitton on November 12, 1931.

He is survived by his Wife, Ula May Whitton; daughters, Reba Walker and husband, Jim of Ace, Tx., Teresa Guidry and husband,Terry of Huffman, Tx., Diane Whitmire and husband, Rex of Cleveland, Tx.; sisters, Susie Turner of College Station,Tx., Merdell Turner of Spring, Tx.; Eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 02, 2005, 4:00 p.m. graveside, at Magnolia Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas.

JOHNSON

Mildred Madeline Johnson, age 85, of Shepherd, Texas, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2005. She was born in Timpson, Texas to Calvin and Lena McDaniel on September 28, 1919 both of whom preceded her in death along with her husband, Elbert “Bo” Johnson; brother, Buddy McDaniel; sister, Syble Riffe; great-granddaughter, Dana Marie Johnson.

She was a retired beautician, active with her church family, a member of the Eastern Star, Treasurer of Farley Chapel Cemetery for over 25 years and in memory of her, the Farley Chapel Cemetery Committee will paint the flag pole and install a flag in her remembrance. She touched many lives throughout the years with her caring and understanding.

She is survived by her daughter, Audrey Gardner; sons, Elton Johnson and wife, Mamie; Corbert Johnson and wife, Bonnie; brother, Aubrey McDaniel and wife, Maxine; grandchildren, Anita Martinius, Bobby Johnson and wife, Sandy, Ched Johnson and wife, Ruth, Woody Johnson and wife, Leona, Janet Chatham, and husband, Avery, Calvin Johnson and wife, Kandy; twelve great-grandchildren; one nephew; six nieces; sister-in-law, Jewel McDaniel; brother-in-law, Albert Riffe and a host of other loving and caring family members.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 4, 2005, 3:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Dr. Charles Sutton and Sidney Gardner conducted the service with pallbearers, Bobby Johnson, Ched Johnson, Woody Johnson, Calvin Johnson, Anita Martinius, Janet Chatham; honorary pallbearers, Michael Johnson and Roy Elton Johnson escorting her to her final resting place at Farley Chapel Cemetery.
