MARTIN
Sandra Louise Martin, of Coldspring, Texas, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2005 at the age of 70. She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Robert and Isabelle Jones on July 9, 1935.
She is survived by her loving Husband of 14 Years, Lee Martin; daughters, Heidi Bertrum, Melissa Martin and husband, Anthony; sons, Kevin Morse and wife, Barbara, Christapher Morse and wife, Sandra, Mark Morse; step-daughters, Lanise Quinn and husband, Joseph, Wanda Cadwallader and husband, Lewis; brother, Robert Jones; grandchildren, Jody Hesse, Jonathan Morse, Matthew Morse, Christapher Martin, Doryl Martin, Nathan Morse, Jacob Morse, Samantha Morse and Paula Morse; step-grandchildren, Zachery Quinn and Mikaela Quinn, Travis and Angie Ristow; and numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family members and caring friends. She is preceded in death by her, son, Jeffrey Morse; step-son, Lee J. Martin, Jr.; and her brother, Richard Jones.
Funeral services were held Monday, October 24, 2005, 1:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Coldspring, Texas. Rev. Anthony Martin and Bro. Jeff Hackleman conducted the service with interment at Evergreen Cemetery, Evergreen, Texas.
Litton
Aaron Lee Litton, 21, of Dayton, died Friday, October 21, 2005 at Ben Taub Hospital. He was born August 7, 1984 in Glendale, West Virginia. He attended Dayton High School and worked at Empire Steel as an iron worker.
He is survived by his parents: Tammy and Larry Wagoner of Dayton; grandparents: Linda and Ken Beckett of Ohio; brothers: Bradley Davis Arnold of Dayton, Wesley Allen Wagoner of Dayton, and Logan Alan Wagoner of Dayton, fiancée: Rachelle Brown of Dayton, also numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Service for Aaron will be 3:00 p.m., Thursday, October 27, 2005 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Visitation will be Wednesday evening, 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton.
AMOS
Earl Edward Amos of Cleveland, Texas passed away Friday, October 21, 2005 at the age of 75. He was born in Roanoke, Virginia on December 10, 1928. He was a resident of the Romayor Community for the last 2 years and former resident of Floyd, Virginia. He was a member of SKPS (RV Club) for more than 10 years. He had many opportunities to travel and made numerous friends. He is survived by his daughter, Rose Marie Wade and son-in-law, Troy of Myakka City, Florida.
Stines
Karen Mae Stines, 54, of Anahuac, died October 22, 2005 at home after a lengthy illness. She was born February 10, 1951 in Anahuac, Texas to father, William James Stines, Jr. and mother Beatrice Wilson Stines. She was a life long resident of Anahuac where she had worked in retail sales, a member of the Baptist Church in Anahuac and a graduate of Anahuac High School.
She was preceded in death by her father and is survived by her mother: Beatrice Stines of Anahuac; Daugther: Tiffany Stines of Houston; Brother: Peter Shines of Anahuac and Paul Stines of Seattle, Washington.
There are no services scheduled at this time for Karen. Arrangements are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton.
PRESSWOOD
Pat Alan Presswood, 53, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 24, 2005 at his residence. He was born on August 20, 1952 in Conroe, Texas and resided in Plum Grove most of his life. Mr. Presswood was a Vietnam War veteran who proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1970-1973, defending our country’s freedom. He worked in the trucking industry for many years and most recently was employed by Jerry Standley until his health failed him. Mr. Presswood has attended Crossroads Assembly of God Church of Splendora for a number of years. During this time, he became close friends with his pastor and cooking buddy, Charlie Burton. This devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather, will be most remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, love for fishing, and barbeque cooking. He will be greatly missed by family and friends, but they are confident that he is now rejoicing in the presence of Jesus and completely healed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Seab Alton Presswood, and mother, Dora Lee McClain. He is survived by his loving wife and friend, Charlotte Presswood; brother, Michael Presswood and wife, Liz of Plum Grove, TX; daughter, Amy Kyles and husband, Cargil of Katy, TX; daughter, Lori Boehm and husband, Chris of Plum Grove, TX; son, Jake Hoot and wife, Kim of Coldspring, TX; grandchildren, Kristen Boehm, Ryan Boehm, David Hoot, Justin Hoot, Josh Carey and Brian Carey; nephews, Seab Presswood, Scotty Presswood and numerous other family members and a host friends.
Rev. Charlie Burton and Rev. Herb Hawthorne conducted the funeral service held Friday, October 28, 2006, 2:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with interment at Plum Grove Cemetery in Plum Grove. Jesse Hawthorne, James Graham, Jimmy Kelso, Jackie Kelso, Bill Kelso and Ronnie Gray all served as his pallbearers.
SUMBERLIN
Daphne Michelle Sumberlin, of Cleveland, Texas passed away Monday, October 24, 2005 in a fatal auto accident. She was born in Belaire, Texas to Harold R. and Polly McSween on November 8, 1966.
She is leaving behind her husband, Ronald Eugene Sumberlin; son, Justin M. McSween; mother, Polly McSween; brothers, Malcolm McSween and wife, Carrie, Davy McSween, Omer McSween, nieces and nephews, Malcolm Christopher, Crystal, Candice, Danny, Amy, Harold James; brothers-in-laws, David Anders and Dean Anders; sister-in-law, Nancy Anders and many other loving family members and caring friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Harold McSeen; grandparents, Omer and Margaret McSween; Marvin and Hattie Springfellow, brother-in-law, Dale Anders.
Bro. Melvin Holifield conducted a memorial service on Friday, October 26, 2005, 5:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel.
Mooney
Charles S. Mooney passed into the loving arms of his Savior Jesus Christ on October 25, 2005. He was born September 26, 1925 in Pelly, Texas and graduated from Channelview High. He had an antique car business for over 30 years. Mr. Mooney enjoyed playing dominoes and poker. He loved to ride motorcycles especially the Harleys and he had a special love for his black lab Bo and cats Tom and Callie.
Service for Mr. Mooney will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 29, 2005 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Dayton, Tx. The Rev. Danny Biddy will be officiating and interment will follow at Palms Memorial Park.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Imogene C. Mooney, his parents and four sisters. He leaves to cherish his memory, son: Dale Mooney and Jody; daughters: Kay Stratmann and Gerry, Gale Stuckey and Steve, Pat Rogers and Don; sisters: Charlsie, Betty Sue, Helen Wilma, and Mary Ruth; 7 grandchildren: Mindy Goff and Micah, Kristi Mika and Eric, Amy Schilling and Deran, Charles Nicholas Mooney and Candace, Sharee McCown, Clayton Mooney and Ashley McCown and 3 great-grandchildren: Charles Nicholas Mooney, Jr., Emily Mika, and Landen Gaskamp.
Visitation for Mr. Mooney will be 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton, Texas.
MORRIS
Don Morris of Cleveland, Texas passed away Thursday, October 27, 2005 at the age of 77. He was born in Houston, Texas on June 02, 1928. He was a resident of the Cleveland Texas for the last 25 years and former resident of Houston, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Maxine Morris; daughter, JoAnn Lawson and husband Charles; grandson, Curtis Lawson and wife Amy; great granddaughter Caroline Lawson; brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews and a many other loving family members and countless friends. Funeral services were held Sunday, October 30, 2005, 2:00 p.m at Calvary Baptist Church, Cleveland, Texas. Bro Carl Williamson conducted the service with interment at Bear Creek Cemetery.
DAVIS
Earlene Lois Davis, 88, of Coldspring, Texas, passed away October 28, 2005. She was born in Plantersville, Texas to Thomas and Belle Dee Thompson on September 7, 1917.
She is survived by her sons, Thelmon Darrell Bonin and wife, Shela, Thomas Wayne Bonin and Kathy Bonin Barr; grandchildren, Darrell Wayne Bonin, Kenneth Doyle Bonin, Christie Bonin Tidwell, Louis Doyle Bonin, Kandace Jo Bonin and Steven Darrell Bonin; great grandchildren, Lindsey Caye Tidwell, Katherine Jean Bonin and Kristine Marie Bonin and numerous friends, Pastor Jones, church members, dear friends Clyde and Marty Hearne and beloved pet Mitzi. She is preceded in death by her son, Thurmon Doyle Bonin; daughter, Stella Benigus Bonin; brothers, Ernest and Bryant Thompson.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 1, 2005, 11:00 a.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Interment was Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens with pallbearers being Kenneth Doyle Bonin, Dwayne Shepherd, Louis Doyle Bonin, Daniel Lee Malberg, Thomas Wayne Bonin, Lee Patterson; honorary pallbearers, Thelmon D. Bonin, Darrell W. Bonin, Clyde Hearne and Steven Darrell Bonin.
