Dennis W. Vorse, 50, of Dayton, died Friday, November 18, 2005, at the Methodist Hospital in Houston.
Funeral services will be held at 2 Pm, Tuesday, November 22, 2005, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 5 Pm to 9 Pm, Monday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Dennis was born September 19, 1955 in Pasadena to parents; Homer and Inez Edwards Vorse, a former resident of Pasadena, and has resided in the Dayton area for the past four years. He was a graduate of the Deer Park High School class of 1975, millwright for Turner Industries of Pasadena with five years of service, a member of the Houston Live Stock show and Rodeo for 15 years, life member of the Pasadena Livestock Show and Rodeo, a volunteer for Toys for Tots and other benefits, and enjoyed trail rides with the Rojos Trail Ride Club, barbecues, rodeos, motorcycles, and helping children.
Mr. Vorse was preceded in death by his mother: Inez Edwards Vorse and brother: Homer D. Vorse. He is survived by his wife of seven years: Donna Beatty Vorse of Dayton, daughter: Angel Warden and husband Greg of Dayton, son: Dustin Vorse of LaPorte, Reagan Phelps of Deer Park and Brad Evans who he thought of as his children, grandchildren: Skyelar, Shelbye ‘Lil Duck’, and Quinton, father: Homer Vorse and wife Dovie of Tennessee Colony, brothers: Gary Vorse and wife Sharon of Pasadena, Eldon Vorse and wife Linda of Conroe, and Sydney Cook of Tennessee Colony, sister: LaQuita Henderson of AZ, sister-in-law: Peggy Vorse of Pasadena, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Ballard
William Franklin Ballard, Sr., age 67, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Friday, November 18, 2005. He was born to Mae Ballard on January 15, 1938. He served our country in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnn (Cooper) Ballard; mother-in-law, Violet “MeMe” Cooper; children, William F. Ballard, Jr. and wife Diane, Dale W. Dorothy Jody Tanner, of Cleveland, Texas passed away Sunday, November 20, 2005 at the age of 63. Jerome Shearer of Shepherd, Texas passed away Monday, November 21, 2005 at the age of 74. He was born in Houston, Texas to Edward C. and Iva L. Shearer on February 7, 1931. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Margie Shearer, daughters, Angel Eddins and Prentice, Autumn White and Vernon; sons, Jerry Shearer and Shelia, Terry Shearer and Dianna, Kerry Shearer; sisters, Norma Walker and Joann Nelson; Brother, Joseph Shearer; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ed and Cookie Gaskill, Walter and Mildred Mosley, Vernon and Lottie Pruett, Gerald and Joyce Pruett, Gary and Audrey Robinson, Jimmy and Lynn Hatfield, Glenn Pruett; grandchildren, Stephen Shearer, Jason Shearer, Jessica Quiebedeaux, Samantha Shearer, Christina Popp, Jonathon Shearer, Joshua Shearer, Cody Eddins, Scott Eddins, Joey Tarrant, Samantha Tarrant, Reagan Tarrant; great-grandchildren Stephen Shearer, Christopher Shearer, Katherine Shearer, Emily Shearer, Andrew Shearer, Conner Quiebedeaux, Elizabeth Tarrant; and 39 nieces and nephews along with many other loving family members and caring friends. Moore
Will Owen Moore, Jr., 73, of Dayton died peacefully at home Tuesday, November 22, 2005 after a brave fight with cancer. He was born October 31, 1932 in Philadelphia, Mississippi to parents, Will Owen Moore, Sr. and Mildred Robinson Moore.
He graduated from Humble High School, received an Associate of Arts from Lon Morris College, a Bachelor of Science from Stephen F. Austin State College and a Master of Education from Sam Houston State Teachers College.
Mr. Moore served in the United States Army from 1955 until 1961, receiving the National Defense Service Medal. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church where he served in many capacities, teaching Jr. High Sunday School for numerous years, Chairman of the Administrative Board, member of the Pastor Parrish Relations, Board of Trustees, Nominating Committee, and Council on Ministries. On Sunday morning he was always there to welcome you with a big smile and a warm heart.
Will Moore retired after 40 years of service in education. He was elementary school principal for 4 years, principal of Dayton High School for 9 years and superintendent of Dayton Independent School District for 11 years. In his honor the Dayton I.S.D. named their new administration building, Will O. Moore, Jr. Administration Building. He was always dedicated to his students and their families. He faithfully attended all school functions and as many athletic events as possible cheering on his students. He holds an honored place on the Dayton I.S.D. Wall of Fame.
Mr. Moore was very active in his community. He was member and Past President of the Rotary Club where he received the Paul Harris Fellow Award. He was a member and Past Director of Liberty-Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce, member and Past-President of Liberty County Retired School Personnel, member and on the Executive Committee of Region IV, Honorary Chapter Farmer, Honorary Life Member of Texas Association of School Administrators, Honorary Life Membership of Texas Congress of PTA, member of Edmond E. Jones Library Board, member of Liberty Co. Cooperative for Special Education Governing Board, Life Member of Texas State Teachers Association, member of The Gideons International and received the 2001 Spring I.S.D. Distinguished Faculty Award.
Services for Mr. Moore will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 26, 2005 at the First United Methodist Church in Dayton with the Rev. Jon Stouffer officiating. Interment will follow at Rosewood Cemetery in Humble under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton, Texas.
Mr. Moore is remembered by his family as being most loving, honest and respected. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister: Bettie Moore Winter and his granddaughter: Annie Hope Wright. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, E. Maureen Moore of Dayton; three children: Jane Anne Wright and husband Troy of Cedar Park, Craig Owen Moore and wife Sarah of Splendora, and Laurie Lynne Becker and husband Scott of Kingwood; by his grandchildren that he loved so much and enjoyed playing with: Alton, Emily, Will, Troy, and Kathryn; his brother: Mack Moore and wife Linda of Humble; his uncle and aunt: Richard T. and Lucille Moore of Arkansas; also numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff and doctors at M.D. Anderson for their love, support and care.

RODGERS
Leura Daisy Rodgers, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away, Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at the age of 85. She was born in Madisonville, Texas to Luther and Mary Musgrove on January 11, 1920.
She is survived by her sons, Leon Stowe, Doyle Glenn Fewox, Randy Lane; daughter, Shearl Lane; grandsons, Leroy Stowe, Curtis Stowe and Steven Stowe, numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other loving family members and caring friends throughout the years.
Rev. Don Knox conducted the funeral services held Sunday, November 27, 2005, 11:00 a.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with interment at San Pedro Cemetery, Crockett, Texas.
Wade
Roger Eugene Wade, age 71, passed away Monday, November 28, 2005 at St. Lukes Episcopal Hospital, Houston, Texas. He was born in Weston, Ohio to Forest Jack and Anna Vondale Wade on August 14, 1918. He was a resident of Cleveland, Texas for over 29 years and a former resident of Belle Ville, Michigan. He honorably served our country in the U.S. Air Force and as years went by, retired from American Airlines. He had many opportunities to travel and enjoyed making new friends.
He is survived by his daughters, Maria Denney; sons, Douglas and Doris Wade, Marc Wade; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many other loving family members and caring friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Allan Wade.

Mary L. Miles Morrow, 76, of Liberty, died Thursday, December 1, 2005, at her residence.

Mary was born February 28, 1929 in Lebanon, MO to parents; Howard and Bertha Leasing Miles, and has resided in the Liberty area since 1974. She was a homemaker, member of the Whispering Meadows Baptist Church, and enjoyed gardening, and her pets.
Mrs. Morrow was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Jack Morrow, son: Robert Morrow, grandchildren: Courtney Morrow and Charles Davie, and brother: Jimmy Miles. She is survived by her son: Ronnie Morrow of Caldwell, daughters: Carolyn Sue Ivester of Gastonia, NC, Cathy Frazier of Cleveland, and Cynthia Davie of Raywood, sisters: Roberta Sims of Kansas City, MO and Anna Marie Anderson of Lebanon, MO, 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
