ZIMMERMAN
John Leonard Zimmerman, Sr., 72 of Coldspring, Texas, passed away Sunday morning, October 8, 2006.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Mary Roe Zimmerman and his adoring children, Karen Zimmerman, John Zimmerman, Jr. and wife, Aurora, Joe Zimmerman, Kathy Varga and husband, Mike. His grandchildren include Lauren, Scott, Ryan, Ashley, Chris, Kris, Susan, Cynthia; and his great-grandchildren include, Chris and Olivia.
He was born in Reading, Pennsylvania on December 22, 1932 to John C. and Catherine Zimmerman. Survivors of his family are his two sisters Kathryn and Joan; and his brother, Paul, all residing in Reading, PA.
John fought for his country during the Korean war. He was a Roman Catholic that dedicated all of his extra time to his church and congregation of St. Stephens Catholic Church.
His hobbies included hunting, fishing and taking care of his family. He will be missed dearly.
Memorial services were held Saturday, October 14, 2006, 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, Coldspring, Texas under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas.
Moore
Patricia Ann Moore, 67 of Dayton, died Thursday, October 12, 2006 at Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Baytown. She was born August 17, 1939 in Ajax, LA to parents: Bill Y. and Bernice Butler Coats. She was a graduate of Pleasant Hill High School in Louisiana, former resident of Highlands, and resided in Dayton for four years. Mrs. Moore enjoyed watching TV, the Astros, reading her Star Magazine and her Pepsi.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 15, 2006 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton with burial following at Farley Chapel in Shepherd. Visitation will be held Saturday, 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Elmer Joe Moore, daughter: Lori Cummings, and brother Bill Coats. She is survived by her daughters: Patti Cozby and husband Ricky of Dayton; Christine Corley of Huntsville; son: John W. Moore and wife Tammy of Lovelady; son-in-law: Robert Cummings of Huntsville; sisters: Frances Wilson of Vidor, Gladys Thompson of Tyler, Jean Brown of Orange, Ella Sanders of Beaumont; brothers: Johnny Coats of Bossier City, LA, and Douglas Coats of Zwolle, LA.; seven grandchildren including Niki Cozby and Shirley Barron, and Jerald Cozby; friend: Mildred Lester of New Braunfels; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and China her dog.
Padon
Verna Lee Bartlett Padon, 87, of Liberty, died Friday, October 13, 2006, at the Liberty-Dayton Community Hospital in Liberty.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 17, 2006, at the Liberty Church of Christ with burial following at Fairlawn Cemetery in Liberty. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, at the Liberty Church of Christ. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Verna was born April 10, 1919 in Turnerville, to parents; Joshua and Maude Lee Boring Bartlett, a former resident of Odessa, and has resided in the Liberty for the past 69 years. She was a retired seamstress and former employee of Modern Cleaners, Liberty Cleaners, Griffin’s Pharmacy, and Lowe’s Motel. She was also a member of the Liberty Church of Christ, and enjoyed senior citizen activities, church camp, and playing dominoes.
Mrs. Padon was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Juddson A. Padon, sisters: Velma Crittendon, Ann Parker, Lucille Ray, and Georgia Eversole, brother: William Bartlett, and niece Judy Bryan. She is survived by her daughter: Patricia M. Padon of Liberty, nieces: Helen Murphy of Austin, Lollie James of Bevel Oaks, and Carol Kent of Houston, nephew: G. V. Eversole of Damon, and numerous other relatives, and friends.

Marca Lee Alcorn, 52, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Friday, October 13, 2006. Born in Pasadena, Texas on March 19, 1954. LaFoy Kay Luce, 52, of New Caney, Texas, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2006. Born in Temple, Texas on August 8, 1954 to Foy Eugene and Melba Louis Driver of whom preceded her in death along with grandparents, Cecil Ross and Cecil Annie Simpson and James Thadeus and Maude Driver.
She is survived by her special friend, Tony Pellegrini; sisters, Sandra Jean Lupton, Linda Ann Plog, Reba Darlene DeCamp, Melba Louise Wood; brother, Johnny Eugene Driver and many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members along with countless caring friends beyond measure.
Memorial services were held Thursday, October 19, 2006, 11:00 a.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Cleveland, Texas.
LEBR
Ray Sessions Lebr, of Romayor, Texas, passed away, Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at the age of 92. She was born in Rockdale, Texas on February 24, 1914 to Thomas and Jessie Beesley. She would memorials sent to St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Cleveland, Texas in lieu of flowers.
Ray was devoted in service to her church family at St. Mark’s. Family and friends will remember her by the oil and watercolor paintings she created over the years and gave to those who loved her and her works. A true lady whose grace and generosity will be missed.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jerry Lebr and her mother, Jessie Beesley. She is leaving behind her to cherish her memories, her sister, Laura Hudgins of Romayor, Texas; nephew, Chris Hudgins of Grapevine, Texas; nieces, Mary Rae Mauldin of Lindale, Texas, Beverly Moody of Kingwood, Texas, Carolyn Stewart of Conroe, Texas; great-niece, Meredith Sloan of Austin, Texas along with her church family and many other loving and caring friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 21, 2006, 10:00 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Pallbearers, Cleve Die, Sammy Allen, Frank Collins, Harvey Williams, Tommy Price, and Clarence Morris escorted Ray to her final resting place at Old City Cemetery, Rockdale, Texas.

Lynette Coe of Cleveland, Texas, passed away October 18, 2006 at the age of 64. Lynette was born in Cleveland, Texas on December 20, 1945 to George Delton and Ynette Coe.
She is survived by her sister, Cynthia Wynne and husband, Howard; brother, Charles Coe and wife, Deborah; nephew, Brandon Coe; nieces, Cindy Shew and Joanna Jameson along with many caring friends.
