Lillie Owens Kidd, 99, of New Caney, died Sunday, April 8, 2007, at the Oakmont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Humble.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 12, 2007, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Cleveland with burial following at the Kidd Family Cemetery in New Caney. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland.
Lillie was born July 22, 1907 in Nacogdoches, to parents; Wiley Owens and Julie Jones, was a former resident of Corrigan, and has resided in the New Caney area for the past 52 years. She was a homemaker, member of the Victory Missionary Baptist Church, and enjoyed crocheting, bingo, gardening, and church.
Mrs. Kidd was preceded in death by her father: Wiley Owens, mother: Julie Jones Chandler, husband: Julius Kidd, father of her children: Barley Moren, daughter: Marie Stowe, son: James E. Moren, two sisters, and one brother. She is survived by her daughters: Dorothy Meshall and husband Tim of LA, Evelyn Kilsby of MS, and Joyce Bonin and husband Fred of New Caney, sons: Ronald Moren and wife Robbie of Huffman, Bill Moren and wife Vonda of Shepherd, Charles Moren and wife Linda of Jasper, and Roy Moren and wife Janet of New Caney, brother: R. P. Chandler of Corrigan, and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Christine Coleman, 84, of Splendora, Texas, passed away April 9, 2007 at Pine Shadow Retreat in Porter, Texas. Christine was born May 27, 1922 in Splendora to parents, Charles E. and Vida Coleman

Kenneth Dwayne Rollins, 45, of Shepherd, Texas, passed away at his home Thursday, April 12, 2007. Kenneth was born November 16, 1961 in Conroe, Texas. He was Baptist in faith; Masonic Lodge Member and Eastern Star Chapter 1003 Member. He worked at chemical plant “Occidental” for 13 years.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 13, 2007, 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, 303 E. Crockett, Cleveland, Texas.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 14, 2007, 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Shepherd, Texas. Bro. Preston Baker officiating with Pallbearers, Bro. Bill Arrendell, Bro. Walter James “Jim” Bousson, 81, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2007. He was born in Vinton, Louisiana on June 6, 1925. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 14, 2007, 10:00 a.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with interment at Ryan Cemetery.
Brawley
Martin Neil Brawley, 63, of Hull-Daisetta, died Friday, April 13, 2007, at a family residence in Kountze.
Memorial graveside services will be held at a later date, at the Moss Hill Community Cemetery in Moss Hill. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Martin was born June 21, 1943 in Houston, to parents; Ray Brawley and Samantha Evans, a former resident of Houston, and has resided in the Hull area for the past eight years. He was a veteran of the US Navy, obtained a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Psychology from Sam Houston State University, was a boilermaker for Jacob’s Field Services while working at the Akzo Nobel chemical plant, and enjoyed reading and watching movies.
Mr. Brawley was preceded in death by his father: Ray Brawley, mother: Samantha Evans Cherry, brother: Edward Brawley, and nephew: Rickey Richardson. He is survived by his sister: Zoina L. Richardson of Cleveland, nephew: Amos Richardson and wife Robin of Kountze, niece: Kathleen Champagne of Kountze, and numerous other relatives, and friends.
Dabney
Leroy Sidney Dabney, age 85, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend; passed away Sunday, April 15, 2007. He was born in Coldspring, Texas and resided in Coldspring most all his life. He was born to Elijah and Annie Dabney, Jr. on December 12, 1921.

Leroy devoted 16 years to teaching; served as First Lieutenant during WWII in the Army Air Corp. He will always be remembered and always be loved.

Herren
Wiley Truett Herren, 87, of Cleveland, Texas, died Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 21, 2007, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Cleveland with burial following at the Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens.
He was born December 24, 1919 in Marquez, Texas to parents, Elbert A. and Lillie E. Herren. He served our country in WWII in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945. On July 15, 1958 he married Betty Ann Haynes and had been dedicated to his loving wife for 48 years. He was a forklift operator for American Can Company and retired after 11 years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Ann Herren; sons, Wiley Herren, Jr. and wife, Eldin, David Herren and wife, Paula, Jimmy Herren, Danny Herren, and Walter Herren and wife, Elizabeth; daughters, Esther Lorene Harrington, Bertha Lynn Walker, Deborah Hall and husband, Kenneth. He is also survived by his adoring twenty-two grandchildren, and twenty-seven great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other loving family members and caring friends.
