Funeral services for Katie D. Adams, age 93, of Jasper, will be Saturday at 12:00 Noon at Lone Star District Church with burial in Huff Creek Cemetery under the direction of Coleman's Mortuary. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the mortuary. She was a native and life resident of Jasper.
Mrs. Adams is survived by two sons Rev. Roy Adams of and John D. Adams both of Jasper, five daughters, Cleotha Hafford, Joylene Clursky, Vance Adams, Roxanna Bootie and Pauline Chaney all of Jasper; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

GENE DUNMAN
Gene Dunman, 46, of Jasper, died at the University of Texas Hospital in Galveston Wednesday, October 2, 2002.
A native of Houston, Texas he lived in Shreveport, Louisiana for many years before moving to Jasper 14 years ago. He was an employee with Halliburton as a contractor.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 5, 2002 at Forest Oaks Chapel with interment to follow at the Magnolia Springs Cemetery in San Augustine County. Visitation will be Friday, October 4, 2002 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Survivors include his mother Mary Ruth Boyett of Jasper and a stepfather Norman Boyett of Jasper. Brothers Bryan K. Dunman of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Terry W. Dunman and Donald L. Dunman both of Shreveport, Louisiana and Daniel Dunman of Jasper, Texas; sister Diane Powers of Jasper, Texas; five nephews and three nieces.
Services are under the direction of Forest Oaks Funeral Home in Jasper.

Funeral services for Mrs. Josephine Lowe, 81, of Jasper, died on Monday, September 30, 2002 at Canon Health Care in New Orleans. Funeral services will take place Saturday, October 5, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Jasper with burial to follow in Coldspring Cemetery in Jasper. Visitation Friday, October 4, 2002 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Robinson's Community Funeral Home of Jasper.
A native of Independence, Louisiana, Mrs. Lowe was a resident of the Jasper area. She is survived by two sons Terry Lowe of Houston and Joe Eddie Randazzel of Jasper; daughters Evelean McNeal and Viola Moses of New Orleans, Audrey Harris and Joe Ann Williams of Houston; sisters Rosell Batiste of Baton Rouge, Amanda Woodside of Tennessee; brothers Douglas Wells of California, Rosevelt Anthony, Jr. of Baton Rouge, twenty grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.

Mr. Westbrooks passed away Saturday, September 28, 2002 at the Avalon Place Nursing Home in Kirbyville.

She was a native and life resident of Jasper and is survived by four sons, Thomas Hadnot of Baytown, George Hadnot, Henry Hadnot and Fred Hadnot all of Houston; seven daughters, Bettye Fontenot, Mae Gillory, Bobby Scott, Marie DeBine, Patsy Hadnot all of Beaumont, Mary Bronson of Jasper, 42 grandchildren, and 40 great-grandchildren.

Savanna Guillory
Funeral services are pending today for young Savanna Guillory, the daughter of Brandon and Bridgett Guillory who died Tuesday, December 3, following an illness at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston.
Over the last few weeks the illness has not only hit the family emotionally but also financially prompting friends and family members to set up an account for the family at the First National Bank here in Jasper.

Funeral for Mizell Berry, age 73, formally of Jasper, will be Friday, February 7, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at Coleman’s Mortuary, with burial to follow in Jasper City Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
Mr. Berry was a native of Bolden, Alabama and lived in Jasper for many years. He is survived by Willie Lee Smith, James Smith and Elouise Bailey all of Jasper.

Jesse Jeramus Rodriguez, 87, of Buna, died Wednesday, February 5, 2003 at Baptist Hospital in Orange.
Graveside services will be held Friday, February 7, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Antioch Cemetery in Buna. Visitation will be at E. E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville until 1:30 p.m. Friday.
A native of Elizabeth, Louisiana and longtime resident of Orange, he had lived in Buna 20 years and was a retired Boilermaker with Local #587 in Orange.
Survivors include a son, Jeramus Rodriguez of Hemphill; a daughter, Jeannette Pittman of Jasper; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Faith Missionary Baptist Church at P.O. Box 1630, Buna, TX 77612.

Juanice Lumpkin, 71, of Kirbyville, died Wednesday, February 5, 2003 at Jasper Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 7, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Central Baptist Church in Kirbyville with burial at Kirbyville Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at E. E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville.
A native of Kirbyville, she had lived several years in Port Arthur, moving back to Kirbyville in 1966. She was a retired bank teller with Kirbyville State Bank, which is now Community Bank. She was also a member of Central Baptist Church in Kirbyville and a member of the Buna Art Guild.
Survivors include her husband, Leon Lumpkin of Kirbyville; two daughters, Pam Burditt and husband Charles of Conroe, and Sharon Harlan and husband Mike of Nederland; a brother, Harold West and wife Dixie of Kirbyville; three sisters, Bonice McBride and husband Fred of Kirbyville; Bernice Grimes of Baytown, and Mary Smith of Highlands; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
