Burial will follow in the Jasper City Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening at the Mortuary Chapel from 5:00 thru 8:00 p.m. He was Native of Lafayette, LA and a resident of Jasper from many years. Visitation will be held Friday, June 4 from 5-8 p.m. at Robinson Community Funeral Home in Jasper. Mrs. Bulah Houston passed away on Monday, May 31 at Dubuis Health Systems in Beaumont.
Survivors include; sons, Jimmy Houston and Billy Houston of Jasper, daughters, Helen Miles, Willie Hafford, Tracey Houston, Brenda Houston, Rosie Johnson and Carolyn Jackson all of Jasper, sister, Lois Green of Jasper, and 25 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services for Andrew “Blue” Meshell, 74, of Buna, will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the Antioch Cemetery in Buna, under the direction of E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Buna.
A native of Sabine County, he had lived in Buna for 69 years and was a retired truck driver. Mr. Meshell passed away Thursday, June 3 at Jasper Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include, a brother, H.F. “Hoss” Meshell of Crosby, sister, Mary Rutledge of Magnolia Springs, and half-sister, Minnie Harriss of Jasper.

Funeral services for Virginia Velma Spikes, 89, of Jasper, will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Mount Olive Baptist Church in Jasper. Burial will follow in the Campground Cemetery. Mrs. Spikes died last Sunday at Memorial Health Systems of East Texas in Lufkin.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 18 from 5 until 8 PM at Robinson Community Funeral Home in Jasper.
Survivors include her sons, Freddie Limbrick of Los Angeles, California, Warren Spikes of Woodland Hills, California, and Sherman Spikes of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by one daughter, Mary Alexander of Los Angeles, California and three sisters, Minnie Rouse, Berlie McDuel, and Verlie Haulton all of Los Angeles, California. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
