Funeral service for Larry Guidry age 44, a resident of Jasper, will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Lone Star District Association Church under the direction of Coleman’s Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Jasper City Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening at the Mortuary Chapel from 5:00 thru 8:00 p.m. He was Native of Lafayette, LA and a resident of Jasper from many years. He is survived by his wife Sharon McQueen Guidry of Jasper; step sons, Jason McQueen and Efeem Woods; step daughters, Reneka McQueen and Latresha McQueen all of Jasper, 3 brothers and 4 sisters.

She is survived by a son Oliver Lewis of Fort Worth, a daughter, Alice Allen of Texas City, a brother Andrew Ricks of Dickerson, and sisters, Geneva Stoot of Dickerson and Ethel Davis of Houston.

Funeral services for Bulah Houston, 83, of Jasper, will be held Saturday, June 5 at 3 p.m. at the Lone Star District Association in Jasper. Burial will follow in the Indian Creek Cemetery in Jasper.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 4 from 5-8 p.m. at Robinson Community Funeral Home in Jasper. Mrs. Bulah Houston passed away on Monday, May 31 at Dubuis Health Systems in Beaumont.
Survivors include; sons, Jimmy Houston and Billy Houston of Jasper, daughters, Helen Miles, Willie Hafford, Tracey Houston, Brenda Houston, Rosie Johnson and Carolyn Jackson all of Jasper, sister, Lois Green of Jasper, and 25 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services for Andrew “Blue” Meshell, 74, of Buna, will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the Antioch Cemetery in Buna, under the direction of E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Buna.
A native of Sabine County, he had lived in Buna for 69 years and was a retired truck driver. Mr. Meshell passed away Thursday, June 3 at Jasper Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include, a brother, H.F. “Hoss” Meshell of Crosby, sister, Mary Rutledge of Magnolia Springs, and half-sister, Minnie Harriss of Jasper.

Funeral services for Thelma Land Woods, 94, a former resident of Jasper, will be held on Saturday at 12:00 noon at the First United Church of God In Christ No. 1. Burial will follow in the Clear Creek Cemetery under the direction of Coleman’s Mortuary.
Visitation will be held Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mortuary.
Survivors include daughters, Merlene Horn and Margie Woods, both of Houston, Katherine Sylvester of Beaumont and Juanita Freelan of San Diego, a brother Reverend Eddie L. Land of Jasper and numerous grandchildren.

Funeral services for Virginia Velma Spikes, 89, of Jasper, will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Mount Olive Baptist Church in Jasper. Burial will follow in the Campground Cemetery. Mrs. Spikes died last Sunday at Memorial Health Systems of East Texas in Lufkin.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 18 from 5 until 8 PM at Robinson Community Funeral Home in Jasper.
Survivors include her sons, Freddie Limbrick of Los Angeles, California, Warren Spikes of Woodland Hills, California, and Sherman Spikes of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by one daughter, Mary Alexander of Los Angeles, California and three sisters, Minnie Rouse, Berlie McDuel, and Verlie Haulton all of Los Angeles, California. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services are under the direction of Robinson Community Funeral Home.
