Ted M. Easley, 90, of Jasper, TX, died of natural causes at Rayburn Healthcare and Rehab on May 13, 2017 and was laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery, Jasper on May 14, 2017.
Services were held by Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville, TX.
Easley was born in Jasper to parents V.O. and Dell Easley on October 7, 1926.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Frances Holmes Easley, and is survived by his daughter, Debra, wife of David Shaddock, of Jasper, grandson, Joel Burns, of Dallas, TX, brother, Lloyd Easley, of Stephenville, TX, and sister, Yvonne Chaney, of Nacogdoches, TX.
Easley was a graduate of Jasper High School and studied at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. He joined the US Army Air Force and later enlisted in the US Naval Reserve Submarine Service. After his military service, Easley attended South Texas College of Law while working in the legal department of Humble Oil in Houston, TX. Easley later became a successful real estate developer and builder. He built, owned and operated Jasper Building Center, a local building material supply and hardware store complete with lumber yard. That building is now home to Harvest Church of Southeast Texas and Jasper Classical Academy. Easley eventually expanded the building supply business to include Woodville Building Center, now the site of Parker Lumber in Woodville, TX.
Easley also served on the Jasper ISD Board of Trustees during the integration of schools. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jasper where he and his wife Frances taught bible classes.
As a student of the Bible, Easley attended Dallas Theological Seminary's Lay Institute and was a loyal supporter of their efforts to train men and women to teach the Word of God in truth.
He was a devoted family man and a respected businessman. He was also a gifted pianist, an avid gardener, and an outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed traveling.
He will be forever in our hearts.
Noel Monzingo

Noel Monzingo, 38, of Jasper, died Thursday October 30, 2008 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Sunday November 2, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Harvest Church of Jasper with interment to follow at the St. John's cemetery in Many, LA. Visitation will be held Saturday evening at Forest Oaks Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A native of Jasper he graduated from High School in 1987 and earned his Associate's Degree from Commonwealth College in 1989. Noel was a member of Harvest Church in Jasper and a childhood member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. He was a avid fisherman and cattleman with a great love for the outdoors and nature. Noel was a master jeweler at Gold Etc. for the past 15 years, where he worked with his family. He often volunteered his time in the community coaching soccer and working with the Emergency Corp. He is preceded in death by his father Noel N. Monzingo. Survivors include his mother Gloria Monzingo of Jasper, a daughter Payton Monzingo of Newton, a sister Kim Huber of Beaumont, Texas grandmother Jo Maddox of Jasper a special aunt and uncle Amos & Phyllis Smith of Jasper. Upon his sudden death, he gave life to several people by way of organ donation. His generous gift helped to perform miracles in Texas and surrounding states to otherwise hopeless patients. Funeral services under direction of Forest Oaks Funeral Home in Jasper. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to St. Michael's Catholic Church in Jasper, Texas.
Kenneth Armstrong Boyd

Kenneth Armstrong Boyd, 59, of Jasper, died at Jasper Memorial Hospital Friday October 31, 2008. A native of Pittsfield, MA. he moved to Jasper from Port Arthur, TX. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Marines and had worked as a self employed contractor. Private cremation services were held per his request. Survivors include a Step-Father Raymond Andrews Sr. and mother Barbara Andrews a brother Raymond Andrews sisters Sandra Andrews, Bonnie Demary, Linda Villanueva-Boulerice all of Pittsfield, MA. and sister Cheryl Shoemaker of Coppell, TX. He was preceded in death by a brother John Boyd.
Walter George Boston
1923 - 2008
Walter George Boston, 85, of Conroe, Texas, died at his home on November 10, 2008. A native of Hope, AR. he moved to Conroe in 1950 from Beaumont, Texas. Walter served his country as a member of the U.S. Army during W.W. II, he was a Foreman for Ft. Worth Pipe from 1963 until retiring in 1989. Funeral servcies will be held at Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Crematory on Wednesday November 12, 2008 with interment to follow at the Zion Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to services at Forest Oaks from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon on Wednesday. Survivors include Sons Jimmy Boston of Longview, TX., Micheal Boston of Conroe, TX., John Champion of La Honda, CA., and Joey Champion of Montgomery, TX. Daughters Glenda Wilson of Conroe, TX., Judy Baker of Cleveland, TX., Marilyn Rosser of Jasper, TX., and Teresa Champion of Conroe, TX. Sister Marjorie Stell of Deer Park, TX. as well as numerous Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
John Henry Russell Jr.

John Henry Russell, Jr., 76, of Jasper, died at his home Monday, November 24, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at Forest Oaks Chapel with private interment to follow at the the Zion Hill Cemetery. A native of Houston, Tx. he moved to Jasper from Memphis, TN. in 1977 after retiring from Allied Chemical. He was a active member of the Adams Memorial Baptist Church where he served as the Minister of Music and a Sunday School Teacher. Survivors include his wife Pauline Knighton Russell whom he married January 28, 1964 in Houston, Texas. Sons Robert Edward Robbins of Montgomery, TX., Johnny Russell of Houston, TX. and Wayne Russell of San Antonio, TX. Daughters Lou Ann Ryan of Montgomery, TX. and Rene Matchett of Lufkin, TX. Aunt Lavete Bradley of Houston, TX. and a sister in law Brenda and husband Frank Behannon of Jasper, TX. Fourteen Grandchildren and Thirteen Great-Grandchildren. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Music Ministry at Adams Memorial Baptist Church or to Odyssey Hospice.
Diane McCully
Diane McCully, 56, native and resident of Kirbyville, died Monday, May 22, 2017 at Plaza Specialty Hospital in Houston. Funeral service will be Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Call Junction Baptist Church. Viewing will be 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Call Community Cemetery under the direction of Coleman’s Mortuary in Jasper.

Terry K. Kimmey, 49, of Kirbyville, died at Shady Acres Nursing Home in Newton, Texas after a battle with cancer on Tuesday, November 25, 2008. Visitation will at the Forest Oaks Chapel from 11:00 until service time at 2:00 p. m., Friday, November 28, 2008. He was a retired maintenance operator with Texas Department of Transportation. He is survived by his father Billy Kimmey of Jasper, mother Jeanette Robbins of Newton, daughter Dusti Lee Reynolds of Woodlands, TX. and brother Don Kimmey of Newton. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lakes Area Hospice. Services under the direction of Forest Oaks Funeral Home.

James R. "Bobcat" Goines, 55, of Brookeland, TX, died at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, TX. November 27, 2008. Funeral services will be held at Forest Oaks Chapel on Sunday, November 30, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at the Campground Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday evening November 29, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Forest Oaks. A native of Jasper, Texas he lived in this area all of his life.
