Kenneth Eugene Pace was born April 1, 1930 in Bell County, Texas to David Melton Pace and Mary Retta Dennis Pace. Ken died February 1, 2010 at his home in Jasper. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Ken was a retired Air Force sergeant, serving his country from 1951 to 1971. He was a former auctioneer, businessman and President of the Woodland Park, Colorado Chamber of Commerce. He moved to Jasper with his wife, in August 1998. Ken loved his family, his farm, his tractors and his WWII Jeep that he restored, drove in local parades and exhibited at local festivals. He loved to sing karaoke and hosted and conducted many shows throughout the area. Ken is survived by his wife, Jan Pace; daughters, Kari Ellis of Jasper, Joni Pate and husband Jim of Jasper and Lori Erickson and husband Rob of Jasper; their grandchildren Cory Gaston and husband Will, Blane and John Ellis, Ben, Levi and Rachel Pate, and Josiah, Seth and Matthew McNammara and Ashley Erickson; six great-grandchildren, Noah, Bryce, Logan, MaKenzie, Taylor and Paige; brother Floyd Pace of Longview; sister Ruth Wallace of Jasper; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and twelve brothers and sisters. A grandson Adam Kellerman-Pate. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 2, 2010 from 5-8 p.m. at Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Baptist Church with interment to follow at West Oaks Cemetery. Juanita Bryson
1923 - 2010
Juanita "Babe" Bryson, 86, passed away on February 8, 2010, at a care facility in Jasper, Texas, after a brief illness. Babe had recently moved to Jasper from Sedro-Wolley, WA to live with her daughter and son-in-law due to declining health.
Babe was born to Oliver and Edith (Stockwell) Shaw on November 15, 1923, in Burlington, WA. She was the youngest of four girls, the baby of the family, no doubt where she got her nickname. She was raised in Burlington and Mt. Vernon, where she graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1941. She enjoyed singing while in school, was involved in musical plays, and glee club.
Babe married Harold "Bud" Nelson in 1941, in Mt. Vernon, WA. They had four children and resided in the Mt. Vernon area until 1955, when the family moved to southern California. There, Babe worked for Pressteel Corp. and Los Angeles County as a switchboard operator for a number of years and raised her children. In 1975, Babe and Bud moved back to Washington, settling in Sedro-Woolley, where they lived until Bud's death in 1980. In 1983 she married Spencer Bryson and they resided in Hamilton until his death in November 2009. Babe worked for the Postal Service as a rural carrier for a number of years before her retirement.
Babe always loved music and dancing, especially music with a lively beat, and had a good singing voice, too. She occasionally would play the harmonica. She enjoyed working in the yard and visiting with friends and family.
She is survived by two sons, Donald Nelson of Hesperia, CA, Gerald Nelson and his wife Cindy of Flagstaff, AZ, and one daughter Pat Harrison and her husband Ed of Jasper, Texas. Grandchildren Jeff and Stephanie Nelson of Monrovia, CA, Jerry and Laura Nelson, Mark and Susan Nelson, and Sherry and Adrian Abbate all of Phoenix, AZ, Ken Brott of Flatstaff, AZ, Criquett Alvarado of Hernando, FL, Melinda and Preston Brown, Rhonda and Joel Behnken, and Jerry and Erin Harrison all of the Houston, Texas area. Sixteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents, two husbands Harold Nelson and Spencer Bryson, one son William Henry Nelson at age 10 months, her sisters Dorothy Cook, Lenore Wolfe, and Pauline McIntyre, nieces and nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her for her loving ways, cheerful good humor and her big heart.
Funeral Services were held at Forest Oaks Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 9, 2010. Family will greet family and friends at Lemley Funeral Chapel on Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Lemley Funeral Chapel in Sedro-Woolley, Wa. Interment will follow at Hamilton Cemetery.
Annie Jesse Westberry

Annie Jessie Westberry, 85, of Beaumont, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2010. A native of Jasper, she was born July 18, 1924, to Annie Clines and William Henry McQueen, and has been a resident of the Beaumont area since 1959. Annie is survived by her sons, Michael D. Westberry of Carrollton and Delaney Westberry and his wife Sylvia of Beaumont; grandchildren, Robert Fredrick Westberry, Darel Pineda, Darla Pineda, Ryan Pineda, Deon Pineda, Delsey Pineda, Larry Westberry and Chris Westberry. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Douglas Westberry, Jr.; seven brothers and sisters; and her granddaughter, Rachael Westberry. Her funeral service will be 9:00 a.m. Saturday, February 13, 2010, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with a graveside service at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Old City Cemetery in Jasper. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2010, at Broussard's. Local arrangements under direction of Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Crematory.
Keith Kincannon

Keith Kincannon, 59, of Jasper, died peacefully at his home after a long battle with cancer, in the presence of his loving wife Pam. Funeral services will be held Friday 19 February at 4:00p.m. at Forest Oaks Funeral Home in Jasper family will greet friends at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until service time at 4:00 p.m. Graveside services will be at noon Saturday 20 February at Bruceville-Moore Cemetery in Bruceville, Texas. A reception at the farm will follow. Mr. Kincannon was born in Waco, Texas on 20 March 1950 to Wayne and Virginia H. Kincannon. He spent his wonder bread years growing up in Lubbock, Texas and North Little Rock, Arkansas and graduated high school in Ridgewood, New Jersey. He attended Texas A&M; and was in the Corps of Cadets. Mr. Kincannon graduated from Nichols College in Dudley, Massachusetts with a BBA in Business. His early career was in sales with Colgate-Palmolive, BASF and U.S. Surgical where he was the National Sales Manager. While living in Grasonville, Maryland, he founded Plan B Medical, selling used medical electronic devices to clinics and hospitals in the southern US. He was known by his many friends for his loyalty and wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed fishing, the outdoors and reading mysteries and military history. A multi-year letterman in high school and college football and track, he spent autumn Saturdays watching his beloved Aggies play football. Mr. Kincannon is survived by his wife Pam Dickerson Kincannon of Jasper and his daughter Kristy Kincannon Liberatore of Virginia; his sons Joshua Kincannon of New Jersey and Damien Kincannon of Virginia; his brother Kelly Kincannon of Virginia and eight grandchildren. Glenn Wayne "Bubby" Lawson, 37, of Jasper, died at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, TX, on Tuesday, February 16, 2010. Private services were held Thursday evening, February 18, 2010. Survivors include father, Glenn Ray Lawson of Fort Myers, Florida; wife, Karen Lawson; son, Nathaniel Chance and daughter, Rachel Chamberlin, all of Jasper; sisters Theresa Farmer, Lee Ann Lawson and Rebecca Lawson of Wise Virginia. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
William Barrow

William Barrow, 95, of Jasper, died at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital Wednesday morning, February 17, 2010. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 19, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at the Homer Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. A native of Jasper, Texas, he was a veteran of World War II where he served in the U.S. Air Force, after the war, he returned to Jasper and was the owner and operator of a Butane Distribution Business. He is survived by several nieces and nephews which include Theresa Bailey of Jasper and Wilson Paul Chesnut of Newton. Services under direction of Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Crematory.

Dyanne Landry, 45, of Burkeville, TX, died Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital in Jasper. Dyanne was born February 16, 1965 in Beaumont, TX. She moved from Vidor in 1999 to Camp Wood, TX, where she lived for 10 years, before moving to Burkeville, TX in May 2009. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 21, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home. Dyanne was preceded in death by her mother Sandra Hobbs.
