Cindy Lamb, 89, of Jasper, died at her home on Tuesday afternoon, April 13, 2010. Visitation will Thursday, April 15 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 16 at Forest Oaks Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Centerview Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Ed Lamb; daughters, Joyce and husband, Jim Underwood; Eva and husband, Jerry Rosenthal all of Jasper. Sister, Louise Lucas of Tyler; Step-sons, Ronnie and wife, Rose Lamb of Desoto; Eddie and wife, Roberta Lamb of Bedford; Tom and wife, Gayle Lamb of Tyler; Phil and wife, Faye Lamb of Cay, S.C.; Grandchildren, Renee, Mark, Nicole, Daryl, Shane, Andrea, Dawn, Aaron, Lorie, David, Sheri, Misty, Kevin, Darren, Bridgette; Great-Grandchildren Nicole, Chelsea, Ricky, Jeremy, Meagen, Amy, Lee, Rachel, Ryan, Morgan, Sidney, Tess, Ethan, and Grace. Also survived by her cat, Daisy. Services under the direction of Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Crematory of Jasper.

Vernon Mack "Shorty" Bohler, 45, of Galena Park, Texas, died in Weslaco, Texas, while employed with Pepper Lawson on Friday, April 23, 2010. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with family greeting the public on Monday, April 26, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Crematory in Jasper, Texas. Interment will follow chapel services at the Ebenezer Cemetery. A native of Atlanta GA, he lived in the Jasper area until moving to Galena Park in 1983. Survivors include his mother and father, Vernon & Brenda Bohler of Kirbyville, TX; Wife, Deena Bohler of Channelview, TX; sons, Samuel Edward "Shorty" Bohler of N. Carolina and Tony Bohler of Channelview, TX; a daughter, Shelby Lynn Bohler of Channelview, TX; brother, John Steven "Steve" Bohler of Kirbyville, TX; and a sister, Rhonda Bohler of Goodrich, TX; a grandchild, Wesley.

Dorothy Elizabeth Doreck, 80, of Jasper, died at Nacogdoches Medical Center on Monday, May 3, 2010. Private services will be held on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Crematory in Jasper, Texas. A native of Detroit, Michigan, she was a teacher, counselor and worked as a administrator in Houston, Texas Schools before moving to Sam Rayburn, Texas in 1978. After retirement, she was the co-owner of D & D Battery in Jasper from 1986 until selling the business in 1992 and retiring to her home in Westwood at Lake Sam Rayburn. Survivors include a husband, L.D. Doreck of Westwood; Son, Larry Eben Doreck of Dickinson, TX; and three grandchildren, Jennifer Marie Doreck, Adam Michael and Jared Eben Doreck. Gina Guidry Wade, 53, of Lufkin, died at Lufkin Memorial Hospital Wednesday, May 12, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Forest Oaks Chapel with interment to follow at the West Oaks Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday evening, May 15, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A native of Port Arthur, Texas, she was a longtime resident of Jasper, where she was employed with Peg McMurray, she moved to Houston in 1998 and later to Lufkin from 2005 until current. Survivors include Sons, Brandon Wade of Lufkin, TX; Dustin Wade of San Marcos, TX; and Colin Wade of Lufkin, TX; a brother, Lee Guidry of Jasper, TX; and a sister, Kristi Hennessee of Arkansas; Five Grandchildren.

Dale Kanoy, 79, of Jasper, died at his home on Thursday, May 13, 2010. Memorials services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Jasper, TX. A native of Missouri he served his country as a member of the U.S. Army. Dale retired from the U.S. Postal service as a Postal Inspector in 1996 and moved from Tempe, Arizona to Jasper at that time. Survivors include his wife, Billie Kanoy of Jasper, TX; Sons, Mark and wife, Ling Kanoy of Mesa, Arizona, and Mick Kanoy of Sterling, New Jersey; Daughter, Margaret Ann Kanoy of Petrified Forest, Arizona; A Brother, Bruce Kanoy of Kennifick, Texas; a Sister, Nancy Hurlbutt of Lake Charles, LA; one grandchild and three step-grandchildren.

Charles Milton Roeder, 74, of Jasper, died at Harbor Hospice at Baptist Hospital in Orange, Texas, on Sunday, May 16, 2010. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Crematory in Jasper, Texas with interment to follow at the Ebenezer Cemetery. A native of Jasper, Texas, he was employed with local 450 as a heavy equipment operator until retirement. Charles was known for his abilities as a fisherman mainly of catfish on trot-lines. Survivors include his wife, Evie Roeder of Jasper, Texas. Sons, Milton Dewayne Roeder of Sterlington, LA; John Arthur Roeder of Cleveland, TX; and Robert Zane Roeder of Jasper, TX; a Daughter, Helen Laverne Astello of Jasper, TX; and Sisters, Helen Marshall of Jasper, TX, Burnadee Collins of Elkhart, TX, and Dorothy Parker of Jasper, TX. numerous grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
