Ozell Musselwhite Boles, 92, of Kirbyville, died at her residence June 2, 2010. Visitation is scheduled Thursday, June 3 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Forest Oaks Chapel. Services are Friday, June 4 at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Oaks Chapel with interment to follow at Magnolia Springs Cemetery. Survivors include her sons, Charles Musselwhite and William Musselwhite both of Magnolia Springs. Her daughters, Barbara Nichols of Burkeville, Norma McClelland of Buna and Martha Jones of Kirbyville. Seventeen Grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Services are under the direction of Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Crematory of Jasper.
William Joe Armstrong

William Joe "Billy Joe" Armstrong, 61, of Jasper, died at his home with family by his side on Monday, June 7, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 11, 2010 at Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Crematory in Jasper with interment to follow at the Campground Cemetery. Family will greet friends at the funeral home Thursday afternoon from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A native and lifelong resident of Jasper, he served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War as a corporal. After the service, he was married to Donna Jean Clerc on September 23, 1972, and was employed with L-P for over 26 years until retiring as a Millwright. Billy Joe loved gardening and welding and was known for these skills. Survivors include his mother, Cora L. Armstrong; wife, Donna Jean Armstrong, and a son, William J. and wife, Shawnda Armstrong Jr., all of Jasper, TX. Daughters, Crystal and husband, Kevin Day of Burkeville, TX, and Lori and husband, Jason Wright of Coon Rapids, MN; a sister, Martha Simmons of Austin, TX, and Grandchildren, Allison, Abigail, Austin, Matthew, and Shyla.
Leola Peoples Hawthorne

Leola Peoples Hawthorne, 90, completed her earthly journey on Thursday, June 10, 2010, at Cumming, GA. She was born, September 19, 1919 in Beaumont, TX. She moved to Gainesville, GA, with her daughter's family in the Summer of 2009 from Peach Bottom, PA. She was a lifelong homemaker. She is preceded in death by her husband, Elliott Hawthorne, Houma, LA; a son, Harvie Elliott Hawthorne, Houma, LA; and a great-granddaughter of Richard and Megan Hawthorne, Houma, LA. She, also, is preceded in death by 4 brothers and sisters: Ernest Peoples, Beaumont, TX, Ella Mina (Pete) Richardson, Gonzales, TX, Doris Fehrmann, Spring, TX, Louise Walters, Oklahoma, City, OK. She is survived by her daughter, Diann Hawthorne Douglas, Gainesville, GA. Seven grandchildren, Denise Douglas Welch, Marshall, TX, Dana Douglas Haggard, Peach Bottom, PA, Terry Douglas, Jr, Cumming, GA, twin boys, Richard Elliot Hawthorne, Houma, LA and Ryan Elliott Hawthorne, Houma, LA, Randy Paul Hawthorne, Houma, LA and Harvie (Buster) Elliott Hawthorne, Houma, LA. Six great-grandchildren. She is survived by one brother, Wilburn Peoples, Kerrville, TX and one Sister Elaine Porter, Beaumont, TX. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at the Forest Oaks Funeral Home, Jasper TX. The public viewing will begin at 1 PM and the funeral service well begin at 3 PM. Interment will be at the Zion Hill Cemetery beside her late husband, Elliott Hawthorne.

Patricia Ann "Pat" Kerr, 63, of Burkeville, Texas, died at Woodland Heights Hospital in Lufkin, TX, on Sunday, June 13, 2010. Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Sunday, June 20, 2010, Toledo Bend Pentecostal Church. A native of Redlands, CA, she moved to Burkeville, from Wyoming, in 2006. Survivors include a son, Larry Kerr of Trinity, TX; daughters, Pam Davis of Jasper, TX; Deborah Davis and Sandra Kerr, both of Jasper, TX; a brother, Dave Robinson of Chehales, WA; grandchildren, Patricia, Donna, Jennifer, Jacklyn, Jacob, Jay, Chance and Gage a great-grandchild, Jeremiah.

A native of Burkeville, TX, he lived in Corpus Christi, TX, before moving to Wichita Falls, TX. in 2004. Ken was currently employed with Beacon Lighthouse for the Blind in Wichita Falls. Inez Inez "Sister" Wright, 71, of Brookeland, died, July 1, 2010. Services will be held at Faith Tabernacle in Brookeland at 2: 00 p.m. on Sunday July 4, 2010 with interment to follow in the Remlig Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church and Sunday until service time. A native of Fields, LA, she moved to Brookeland from DeQuincy, LA, in 1955. Sister was driven by her love for her church and family and enjoyed spending time with both. Preceded in death by her Husband, Glen Wright; a brother, Barney Eugene Beckworth and her Father, Barney Beckworth.
