Linda Long, 67, of Kirbyville, TX, died at her home on Saturday, October 9, 2010. Funeral services will be held at the Kirbyville Cemetery on Monday, October 11, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow. Family members will greet the public Sunday at Forest Oaks from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A native of Anniston, AL, she was a resident of Kirbyville, TX, Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Margaret Dentman and brothers, Jimmy Dentman and J.L. Dentman. Survivors include her loving husband for 47 years, Jasper Long of Kirbyville, TX, son, Wayne and wife, Dena Long of Baytown, TX, a daughter, Cynthia and husband, Derek Woods of Jasper, TX, brothers, Marshall Dentman of FL, Eddie Dentman of FL, Terry and Larry Dentman both of GA, sisters, Reba Dale of FL, Nancy Ivy and Sue Drummonds, both of GA, as well as three grandchildren, Peyton, Josie and Kaylin. Deuie Lakey, of Jasper, died at Dubois Hospital in Beaumont, TX, on Tuesday, October 12, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, October 18, 2010 at Forest Oaks Funeral Home with interment to follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery in San Augustine County. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time. A native of San Augustine County, he moved to Jasper after serving his country in the U.S. Air Force. Deuie was a member of the Nedville Baptist Church and the former owner of East Texas Exterminating Co. in Jasper. Survivors include sons, Michael W. and wife, Sandra Lakey of Jasper, TX, Roger Lavon and wife, Tina Lakey of Richmond, TX, a step-son, Robert Powell of Richardson, TX, a brother, Bobby Joe and wife, Georgia Lakey of Houston, TX, sisters, Barbara and husband, Raymond Mays of Jasper, TX, and Jeanette and husband, Bobby Joe Woods of Jasper, TX, as well as five grandchildren, Michael, Roger Jr., Kayla, Jessie, and James.

Helen Marshall, 86, of Jasper, died at Lufkin Memorial Hospital Monday, October 11, 2010. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 13, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Services will be held Thursday, October 14, at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Oaks Chapel with interment to follow at Ebenezer Cemetery. A native of Avon, South Dakota she was a lifelong resident of Jasper that was known for her love and skill of gardening. Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband Henry Marshall, they married April 12, 1940. a daughter, Shirley Weaver, brothers, Leslie Roeder, Leo Roeder and Charles Roeder. Survivors include a son, Talmage and wife, Janice Marshall of Denison, TX, sisters, Dorothy Parker of Jasper, TX, and Buradee and husband, Vernon Collins of Elkhart, TX; Six Grandchildren, Twelve great-grandchildren and One great-great-grandchild. Hershel Peacher, 80, of Woodville, TX, died at Holiday Pines Nursing and Rehab in Woodville, TX, Thursday, October 14, 2010. Private service were held held on October 20, 2010. A native of Champagne, IL, he moved to Woodville, TX, in 1983. After retiring from M & W Gear Company as a truck driver, he served his country as a member of the U.S. Army. Preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Goldie Peacher, a sister, Helen Fulfer, and a brother, Albert Peacher. Survivors include sons, Cecil and wife, Linda Peacher of Jasper, TX, Hershel Glenn Jr. "Buddy" Peacher of TX, daughters, Elizabeth and husband, Gene Clark of Roganville, TX, and Fern Peacher of IL, a brother, Dale Peacher of Mesquite, TX., Clarence Peacher and Ronnie Peacher, both of Champagne, IL. Sisters, Doris and husband, Bob Stivers of Pesotum, IL, Dorothy White of Decatur, IL, Lora and husband, Don Runyon of Rantoul, IL, and Laura Peacher of Pesotum, IL; eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Monday, November 8, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Forest Oaks Funeral Home in Jasper. Services will be Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at Forest Oaks Chapel at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at the Bumstead Cemetery in Warren. She is survived by her sons, Stephen and his wife, Amanda Bumstead and David Bumstead, all of Jasper; One brother, Hollis Behannon of Jasper; Five Grandchildren and One great-grandchild.
