Freda Droll, 101, of San Angelo, died Thursday, July 27, 2000, at her residence.
Wake service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 30, in Robert Massie Riverside Chapel.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 31, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rowena, with Monsignor Larry Droll, grandson, officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Freda was born Jan. 20, 1899, in Runnels County, to William and Lucy Hoelscher Glass.
She grew up in Rowena, and married William C. Droll at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Nov. 6, 1920.
She was a homemaker and farmed on the family farm for many years in Rowena, and Eola.
Freda was a member of St. Margaret's Catholic Church and had lived in San Angelo, for 35 years.
Freda was an honorary member of the St. Ann's and St. Margaret's Altar Societies.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Droll; a son, Carl Droll; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a daughter-in-law, Sidona Droll.
Survivors include two sons, Harvey Droll of Rowena, and William Droll and wife, Wanda, of Lubbock; four daughters and sons-in-law, Lucille and Norbert Halfmann, Ethel and Presley Weinshuhn, all of Eola, Dorothy and Eugene Hirt of Garden City, and Jean and Bernard Hirt of Wall; a sister, Katie Frerich of Rowena; 26 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
The grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Memorials may be given to a favorite charity.
The family wishes to express thanks to all caregivers and special thanks to Anita Hernandez for all the fine care Freda received.

BALLINGER, TEXAS - Edwin Randolph "Randy" Farris, 77 of Ballinger, died Monday, May 14, 2001, at Heritage Oaks Estate in Ballinger.
He was born April 18, 1924, in Coleman Co., to Toliver and Roberta Rae Powers Farris.
He married Lottie Sikes on Aug. 26, 1950, in Coleman, Texas.
A longtime resident of Ballinger, he retired from WTU in 1986, after 32 years of service.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ballinger.
Randy enjoyed hunting, gardening, camping with the Good Sam RV Club and being with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Lottie Sikes Farris of Ballinger; a daughter, Charlotte Leann Farris Busch and husband, John of Ballinger; a son, Randy Clay Farris and wife, Debbie, of San Angelo; four grandchildren, Randy Broxson and wife, Teresa, of Dallas, Katie Farris Ferich and husband, Gene, of Ballinger, and Lance Farris and Landon Farris, both of San Angelo.
He is also survived by four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Annette Collinsworth of Riesel and Iris Williams of Hammond, N.Y.; and his mother-in-law of Ballinger.
The family will be receiving friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, at Rains-Seale Funeral Home.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 16 the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bo Keithley officiating. .
Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.

W. H. `WOLLEY' DIERSCHKE
BALLINGER - W. H. "Wolley" Dierschke, 86, of Rowena, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 1997, at 8:50 p.m. at Heritage Oaks Nursing Home in Ballinger.
A rosary and vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rowena.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 20, at the same church with the burial following in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rains-Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Dierschke, the sixth of nine children, was born to Gus and Elizabeth (Wilde) Dierschke on March 23, 1911, in the Bethel Community of Runnels County.
He married Rosalie Glass on Aug. 17, 1939, at St. Joseph's Church in Rowena.
They lived on a farm near Rowena, all their married life.
W.H. farmed in Runnels, Tom Green and Concho counties until his retirement.
He devoted his life to caring for his family, to being a good farmer and to being devout in his religion.
He based his life on honesty, integrity and unselfishness.
One of his great joys was watching things grow that he had planted.
W.H. was a member of St. Joseph's Church and an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Dierschke is survived by his wife, Rosalie; three sons and their spouses, Daniel and Marilynn of Austin, Dr. Eugene and Mary of Dallas, and Ray and Patsy of Rowena; and two daughters, Joyce Braden and her husband, Wilbert, of Midkiff and Sharon Lange of San Angelo.
His grandchildren are Matthew and Chris Dierschke of Austin, Bill Boone and Bonnie Dierschke, both of San Antonio, Karen Peer and husband, Mike, of Dallas, Lisa Dierschke of Arlington, Craig Braden of Sugarland, Doug Braden of Colombo, Sri Lanka, Randy Braden of Midkiff, Kevin Braden of Liberal, Kan., Keith Braden and Sheila Dierschke, both of College Station, Brooke Sikes and Brandon Dierschke, both of Rowena, Amy Lange of Waco, and Eric and Holly Lange of San Angelo.
He is also survived by two sisters, Eleanor Braden of Rowena, and Irene Bruchmiller and her husband, Raymon, of Ballinger.
Mr. Dierschke was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane, and a son-in-law, Roger Lange; his parents; four brothers; and two sisters.
Grandsons will be pallbearers.

ALDIS `ACE' HOELSCHER
BIG SPRING - Aldis "Ace" Hoelscher, 75, of St. Lawrence, died Monday, Jan. 26, 1998, in a Stanton hospital.
Rosary will be at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, with the Rev. Tom Barley, pastor, officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
He was born Sept. 19, 1922, in Rowena.
He served in the United States Navy during World War II.
After his discharge from the service, he came to St. Lawrence, and was one of the first homesteaders there.
He farmed in the St. Lawrence area for 52 years and was still farming at the time of his death.
He was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
Mr. Hoelscher was past director of the Glasscock County Co-Op Gin and served on the Soil Conservation Board.
He was a member of Hermanson Lodge and the St. Lawrence Gun Club.
Survivors include two brothers, Charles Hoelscher of Grape Creek and Leoran Hoelscher of Rowena; four sisters, Cecilia Brosig of Paint Rock, Bernadine Garner of Del Valle, Audrey Russell of San Angelo, and Mary Dee Hoelscher of Hereford; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial fund has been established at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in memory of Aldis "Ace" Hoelscher.

Died: May 4, 1983
ROBERT LEE - Inez Susan Mayfield, 73, of Robert Lee, died Wednesday morning at her home of natural causes.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Robert Lee Baptist Church.
The Rev. Roy Eperson, minister, and Jimmy Rogers, minister from San Angelo, will officiate.
Burial will be in the Robert Lee Cemetery, directed by Shaffer Funeral Home.
Born Jan. 30, 1910, in Runnels County, she was a homemaker and a Baptist.
She married Cecil Mayfield, March 25, 1933, in San Angelo.
They lived in Winters, until 1959, when they moved to Robert Lee.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Doris Waldrop of Midland; two brothers, Dalton Riddle and Anderson Riddle, both of Abilene; and a grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Doyle, Arnold and Gary Riddle, Keith Waldrop, Billy Shelton and Ronnie Westbrook.
ROSA KLOESEL EGGEMEYER
BALLINGER - Rosa Kloesel Eggemeyer, age 80, of the Lowake community, died on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 1998, in Shannon Medical Center-St. John's Campus in San Angelo.
Rosa was born June 18, 1917, in Rowena, the youngest child of Adolf and Matilda (Englert) Kloesel.
She married Arthur Eggemeyer on Nov. 23, 1937, in Rowena.
He preceded her in death on June 11, 1975.
Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rowena.
Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 6, at the church with burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Rains-Seale Funeral Home.
Rosa was a homemaker and a member of the Lowake Family and Community Education Club, as well as the Concho County FCE Council, where she held various offices.
She was also a past active supporter of the Lowake Community Improvement Association.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rowena.
Along with her husband, she also was preceded in death by her brothers, Phillip, Robert and Emil Kloesel.
Survivors include her daughter, Delores O'Dell and husband, Mike, of San Marcos; her sons, James Eggemeyer and his wife, Rose, of Miles, Kenneth Eggemeyer and his wife, Carol, of San Angelo; and daughter, Lorene Halfmann and her husband, Thomas, of Coleman.
Rosa also was blessed with 13 precious grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Other survivors include her sisters, Regina Schaefer of Rowena, and Eleanora Nichues of Norton, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Curtis O'Dell, Daniel O'Dell, Donald O'Dell, Jared Eggemeyer, Jason Eggemeyer, Ryan Halfmann, Russell Halfmann and Randal Halfmann.

VICTOR SCHWERTNER
BALLINGER - Victor John Schwertner, 79, of Ballinger, passed away in Ballinger Memorial Hospital at 1:03 p.m. Sunday, May 31, 1998. Rosary will be at 8 p.m. Monday, June 1, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rowena.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, at the church with Father Stephen Kennelly officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Rowena.

He was born April 1, 1919, in Runnels County, to Frank and Adela Ernst Schwertner, Jr.
He farmed in the Rowena area all of his working life.
He married Lillie Beimer on May 12, 1941, in Rowena.
He served in the United States Navy during World War II.
He was a member of the VFW Post in Rowena, and the Rowena Lions Club and was a past board member of the Runnels County FHA.
Victor also was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Dora Pechacek.
He is survived by his wife, Lillie Schwertner of Ballinger; four children and their spouses, Clara and Bennie Kalina of Miles, Larry and Patsy Schwertner of Ballinger, Judy and Ken Kuntz of San Angelo, and Sandra and Gary Godwin of San Angelo; 12 grandchildren and their spouses, Joseph and Dena Kalina, Paul and Dawn Kalina, Mark and Jodi Kalina, Diane and Kevin Michalewicz, Heather, Tamra and Lance Schwertner, Sara, Rachel and Stephen Kuntz and Marshall and Mason Godwin; and five great-grandchildren.
He also is survived by two brothers, Ludwig Schwertner and Robert Schwertner; and two sisters, Katherine Werner and Lily Schraer.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
