Terry
CAMERON – Julian W. Terry, 83, of Cameron passed away in his sleep Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005 at his home. Graveside funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 19 at Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. James Wheeless officiating.
Mr. Terry was a glider pilot and instructor during World War II. He retired from Alcoa after 23 years and was an avid golfer and hunter before his illness. He appreciated all the friendship shown to him during his lengthy illness.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Thelma Terry of Cameron; two daughters, Joyce Vogelsang of Duncanville and Carole Wolkowicz of Anaheim, CA; son, Steve Terry of Cameron; brother, James A. Terry of Hoyt; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Sapp
CAMERON – Lois Evaline Sapp, 72, of Cameron died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church in Cameron with Rev. Chris Norton officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Sapp, a homemaker, was born Nov. 12, 1933 in Midway, Wyoming to George and Elizabeth (Burkholder) Knapp. She married Forrest Sapp on Oct. 8, 1953. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church for over 51 years where she also served positions in the church including the Methodist Women, and she sang in the choir. She was a member of the Central Texas Hospital Auxiliary, the Bridge Club and the Art and Service League.
One brother and four sisters preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Forrest Sapp of Cameron; three sons, Ricky Sapp of Cameron, Randy Sapp of Cameron and Allan Sapp of Conroe; daughter, Debbie Gommert of Cameron; brother, Darold (Lee) Knapp of Las Vegas, Nevada; two sisters, Viola Martin of Mesa, Arizona and Julia (Annie) Eicher of Cameron; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Alexander
SAN MANUEL – Jon “JB” Alexander passed away on Nov. 19, 2005 at his home in San Manuel.
He was born in Bryan on Aug. 20, 1950 and was employed by Magma Copper Company and BHP. He enjoyed scuba diving, hiking, traveling and electronics.
Mr. Alexander is survived by his wife of 25 years, Pamelo Jo Alexander; parents, James Vernon and Ruby Alexander, both of Marble Falls; two brothers, Jim and Paul Alexander, both of Texas.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Mark.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in San Manuel.
Mr. Alexander resided in Rockdale and attended public school in Rockdale from 1956 thru 1964. He is also survived by a son from a previous marriage and a grand-daughter living in Tucson, AZ.

Ward
A memorial service for Jane Doak Ward, 60, of Rockdale will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel in Temple with Dan Drummond officiating.
Mrs. Ward died Sunday, Jan. 29, in a Temple hospital.
She was born to the late J.W. Sr. and Nancy Jewell Doak on Nov. 23, 1945, in San Angelo.
She was a talented artist and a very loving and giving person.
Mrs. Ward was raised in the Presbyterian Church and took pride in being a homemaker and spending time with her family.
Survivors are her husband, Lanny Cravy of Rockdale; a son, Bryan Scott Ward of Frisco; a brother, J.W. Doak Jr. of Houston; also, one niece and one nephew.

Whiteley
Mary Lee Whiteley, 96, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2006 in the Manor Oaks Nursing Home in Rockdale. Funeral services were held 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28 at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Rev. Calvin Springer and Rev. Doug Springer officiating. Burial followed in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale.
Mrs. Whiteley was born July 23, 1909 in Rockdale to Bertha Sparks Parker. She married Julius Whiteley on July 25, 1925 in Cameron.
Mrs. Whiteley was a retired owner and operator of Whiteley the Florist in Rockdale for many years.
She was a resident of Rockdale most of life and was a life long resident of Milam County.
She was member of Rockdale Full Gospel Church in Rockdale, and the church’s quilting circle. She entered her canned vegetables from her garden every year in the Rockdale Fair.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius Whiteley on April 24, 1980; daughter-in-law, Janice (Reed) Whiteley, brother, L.V. Parker and two sisters, Ethel Barringer and Velma Brooks.
Survivors include two sons, J.R. Whiteley Jr. and wife Sue of Rockdale and Jerry Whiteley and wife Patti of Katy; brother, Floyd Parker of Garland; five grandchildren, Mike Whiteley of Mt. Vernon, Libby Kenjura of Chappell Hill, Tina Magness of Corsicana, Heather Hernandez of Frisco and Hannah Whiteley of The Colony; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers included Billy Thompson, Bobby Denman, Charles Denman, Jonathan Muston, Gene Jones and Raymond Story.

Bailey
Weldon E. Bailey, 83, died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006 at his home in Sharp after a long illness. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1 at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Rev. Glenn Shackleford officiating.
Mr. Bailey, a resident of Sharp for the past 32 years, was born Feb. 21, 1922 in Saratoga to Earl and Ola (Dickens) Bailey. He married Arnell Graves on May 28, 1974 in Houston. He retired from Shell Oil Co. in Houston. He was a rancher in Sharp. He also owned a mobile home parks business in Rockdale.
He was a graduate of Livingston High School in Livingston. He served in the United States Army for 4 and a half years as Military Policeman and was stationed in India. He was also member of Masonic Lodge.
He leaves behind best friends, Prince, Rags, Katy and Bitty.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step son, Jim Clark in 1974; three brothers, Claude R. Bailey, Grover Bailey and A.E. “Snake” Bailey; sister, Thelma Peebles.
Survivors include his wife, Arnell Bailey of Sharp; three sons, Randall Weldon Bailey of Houston, Neill Clark of Sharp and Kelley Clark and wife Vicky of Sharp; daughter, Jan Thompson-Eve of San Diego, California; sister, Betty Colley and husband Burnham of Canyon Lake; granddaughter, Hannah Elizabeth Clark of Sharp; nieces, Carey Colley of Pflugerville, Jill Kastner of Oxshott, England, Candy Rhine of San Antonio, Tammy Metzger of Brenham and Tina Ross of Brenham; great nephews, David Koch of San Antonio, Cameron Colley-Holck of Pflugerville; great niece, Jessica Colley-Mitchell of Pflugerville; numerous cousins including, Doyle Dickens of Killeen; one grandchild.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to PAWS in Austin or to your local area or S.P.C.A. (Society to Prevent Cruelty to Animals).

Hillin
Hattie Stolte Hillin, 84, of Thorndale died Monday, Jan. 30, 2006 at her home in Thorndale. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2 at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Rev. Nita Newman of Pleasant Retreat United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale.
Mrs. Hillin was born Oct. 27, 1921 in Milam County to Emil August and Theresia (Pelzel) Stolte. She married Claud Hillin on July 22, 1941 in Rockdale.
Mrs. Hillin lived in Texas City until the disaster in April 1947, then moved back to Thorndale. She was baptized at Peace Lutheran Church in Rockdale on Feb. 19, 1922.
She attended and was a member of Pleasant Retreat United Methodist Church at Pleasant Retreat. She was an avid Thorndale sports fan, attending all the state playoffs. She loved to garden and tilled her garden. Mrs. Hillin was self employed babysitting at her home in Thorndale.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claud Hillin on Oct. 29, 1982; parents; three brothers, Preston Stolte, Walter Stolte and Albert Stolte; sister, Rosie Rosenbaum.
Survivors include sister, Alberta Offield and husband Boyd of Rockdale; four nieces, Theresia Goetz and husband David of Rockdale, Barbara Smith and husband Leonard “Red” of Thorndale, Joyce McCoy and husband Herschel of Thorndale and Judy Jordan and husband Henry of Thorndale; four nephews, Steven Stolte and wife Debbie of Thorndale, Cam Stolte of Thorndale, Ray Adams Jr. and wife Jo of Llano and Carey Wayne Offield of Rockdale.
Pallbearers include Carey Wayne Offield, Cam Stolte, Steven Stolte, Anthony Niemtschk, Tommy McCoy and Craig Jordan.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Pleasant Retreat United Methodist Church, c/o Barbara Smith, 2133 CR 458, Thorndale, TX 76577.
