Summerlin
CAMERON – Funeral services for Frankie Dee Summerlin, 52, of Gause were held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2001, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron. Burial followed in the Gause Cemetery.
Mr. Summerlin died Saturday, March 31, in a Temple hospital. He was born in Gause to Frank and Bertha Jo Williams Summerlin.
He was a brick mason, a veteran of the U.S. Navy and member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. Summerlin was a member of the Gause Full Gospel Church.
Survivors are his wife, Betty Summerlin of Gause; three sons, Frankie Dee Summerlin of Bryan, Kevin Bert Summerlin of Hearne and Heath Rand Summerlin of Gause; two daughters, Sondra Ann Zoeller of Houston and Brandy April Ryan of Gause; his mother, Bertha Joe Summerlin of Hearne; his grandmother, Ida Barnett of Gause; also, 10 grandchildren.
Goetz
TAYLOR – Lena Mary (Fick) Goetz, 86, lifetime resident of Thrall, died Saturday, March 31, 2001, in Johns Community Hospital.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 2, 2001 at 10 a.m. at Condra Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Rhoades and Glen Goetz officiating. Burial followed in the Taylor City Cemetery.
Mrs. Goetz was born in the Tracy community in Milam County on Sep. 14, 1914, the daughter of Emil Carl and Lena (Laffere) Fick. On Nov. 16, 1937, she was married to Herman Otto Goetz, who preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas, three sisters, and one brother.
A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she enjoyed making quilts and other handiwork for her family. She had been employed as a seamstress at Relax Apparel.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Martin and husband, Wiley of Lexington, Darlyn Boney and husband, Bill of Salado; sons, Glen Goetz and wife, Betty of Thrall, David Goetz and wife, Theresia of Thorndale; 19 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Stone
ROBINSON, IL – Funeral services for Nancy Ellen Stone, 84, of Centerbury Ridge, Urbana, IL were held Monday, March 26, 2001 at 1 p.m. at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL with Bro. Gene Fox officiating. Burial followed in Hardinville Cemetery, Hardinville, IL She died shortly before 6 a.m. Tuesday, March 22 at the Cantebury Ridge Assisted Living Facility, Urbana, IL following several months of declining health.
Mrs. Stone was born March 26, 1916 to Robert Nathan and Henrietta (Daron) Sanders in Martin Township, Crawford County, IL. She and Murven "MC" C. Stone were married Oct. 31, 1934. She was a member of Highland Church of Christ, Robinson, IL and sold Avon Products for 20 years.
Mrs. Stone was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Elmer Sanders and Robert Sanders; one sister, Arta Lefever..
Surviving are: Son, Robert D. and Susan Stone, Graves, TX; two daughters, Gloria and Weldon "Pete" Belew, Rockdale, TX and Debra and Jody Wesley, Mahomet, IL; sister, Thelma Leggitt, Oblong, IL; 10 grandchildren, Lance Belew, David Belew, Kae Atkinson, Shannon Isaac, Joelle Wesley, Justin Wesley, David Stone, Michael Stone, Joe Robbins, Rachael Robbins; two great-grandchildren, Steve Belew and Emily Atkinson; several nieces and nephews.

Williams
CAMERON – Funeral services for Ronald Patrick Williams, 41, of Lockhart, TX, formerly of Leavenworth, KS, were held Sunday, March 25, 2001 at 2 p.m. in the Fall Creek Cemetery in Leavenworth, KS with Chaplain Jack Divine officiating. He died Sunday, March 18 in Lockhart, TX following an extended illness.
Mr. Williams was born Oct. 25, 1959 to Howard Rex Williams and Patricia Dougherty Williams in Leavenworth, KS. He was a truck driver.
Surviving are: Son, Douglas Williams of Sharon, WI; daughter, Darci Williams of Sharon, WI; father, Rex. Williams of Leavenworth, KS; mother Patricia Williams of Leavenworth, KS; three sisters, Joni Cline and Lisa Knox both of Leavenworth, KS and Laura Hendrick of Lockhart, TX.
Renner
CAMERON – Funeral services for Charles Enoch Renner Jr., 67, of Riverside were held Thursday, March 22, 2001 at 2 p.m. in the Ben Arnold Cemetery, near Cameron with Ed Evans and Walter Hicks III officiating. He died Tuesday, March 20 in a Conroe hospital.
Mr. Renner was born May 9, 1933 to Charles Enoch Renner Sr. and Etta Hodge in Cherry Valley, AR. He graduated from Cherry Valley High School in AR and the University of AR. He was a project representative for KSA Engineers for 41 years. Mr. Renner was a Methodist.
Surviving are: Wife, Ernestine Renner of Riverside, TX; stepson, W.M. James King of Alvarado; stepdaughter, Dorothy Renee Schisser of Riverside; two brothers, Leon Renner of Denison and Roger Renner of Sherman; sister, Margaret Pennington of Sherman; six step grandchildren.
Green
Funeral services for Gertrude "Tot" Green, 96, of Rockdale will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2001, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Rev. Paul Kethley of St. John’s United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Sharp Cemetery.
Mrs. Green died Monday, June 11, in a Rockdale nursing home.
She was born Aug. 12, 1904, in the Tracy community to Lon Jon and Roxie (Lewis) Dunham. She was a resident of Milam County for all of her life.
A graduate of Mary Hardin-Baylor University, Mrs. Green was a school teacher for about 45 years at Rockdale ISD and various rural schools in Milam County.
She married Ray Green on Oct. 4, 1930, in Cameron, and he preceded her in death on March 2, 1975.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; four brothers, Charlie, Mac, Wilbert and Wallace Dunham; and four sisters, Bessie Dunham, Katie Lawson, Helen Harmon and Birdie Dunham.
Survivors are a brother, Joe Bailey Dunham of Bryan, and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Shaw
Graveside services for Mrs. Bertie B. Shaw, 91, of Burnet, formerly of Rockdale, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2001, at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale with Bro. Dan Shipley of Oaks West Church of Christ of Burnet officiating.
Mrs. Shaw died Friday, June 8, in a Burnet nursing home.
A homemaker and resident of Burnet for the past 18 years, she was born Dec. 4, 1909, in Sherman to Walter and Frances (Walker) Phemister. She married Oval Shaw on Feb. 15, 1927, at the Methodist Church in Haskell. Mrs. Shaw as a member of the Oaks-West Church of Christ in Burnet.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oval Shaw, on March 3, 1990; three brothers, Tommy, Leonard and Royce Phemister; a sister, Loise Fitzhugh; and her parents.
Survivors are a son, Frank (Bill) Shaw and wife Vivian of Haskell; a daughter, June Owens and husband Denzal of Burnet; four grandchildren, Linda Yakesch of Rockdale, Kay Stork of Taylor, Billy Bob Shaw of Abilene and Randy Shaw of Haskell; also, 10 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
