Barbara Joan "Eloise" Enelow
1939-2006
Funeral services for Barbara Joan "Eloise" Enelow, 67, of Seminole, were held Saturday afternoon at the South Seminole Baptist Church, with the Rev. Joe Stewart and Rev. Eric Walsh officiating. Services will be under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.
Mrs. Enelow passed away on Wednesday, May 3, at Vista Care Nursing Home in Lubbock.
She was born on April 9, 1939 to Ivan and Vergie Riggins in Baylor County, and married Myles "Mike" Enelow on Nov. 9, 1962 in Big Spring.
She moved to Seminole in 1970 and was a homemaker and active member of the South Seminole Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, "Mike" in 1987, her parents, and two sisters, Betty Whitt and Virginia Gray.
Survivors include one daughter, Sheri Enelow of Seminole; two brothers, Ben Riggins of Muskogee, Okla.; and James Riggins of Hobbs, N.M.; and five sisters, Lucille Dooley of Belton, Aubrey Mac McClure of Big Spring, Zula Mae Chappell of Kosse, Janelle Pedigo of Big Spring and Colleen Todd of Midland.
Bea Cagle
1910-2003
Bea Cagle, 92, of Eastland, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2003 in Eastland. Services were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2003 at the Daugherty St. Church of Christ in Eastland with Gary Montgomery officiating, assisted by Phillip Coats. Burial will be in the Eastland City Cemetery directed by Edwards Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cagle was born on October 3, 1910 in Ranger to Ernest and Charlie Angeline (Eubanks) Jennings. She grew up in Ranger where she attended school. She began her 33 year career with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company as a "hello girl" operator, retiring as a supervisor. She married Howard Underwood in 1938 and he preceded her in death in 1968. She married Louis Cagle in 1972 in Seminole. He preceded her in death in 1996. She was a member of the Daugherty St. Church of Christ. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Jackson Jennings and Allan Jennings, and sisters, Patsy Stone and Ira Sterling.
Survivors include three brothers, Billy Jennings of Wichita Falls, Joe Jennings of Climax, Georgia and Charles Jennings of Eastland; a sister, Grace Mann of Wichita Falls; and many nieces and nephews.
Carlos Rodriguez, Jr.
1956-2003
Services for Carlos Rodriguez, Jr., 46, of Hereford, son of Consuelo Rodriguez and brother of Francisco Rodriguez of Seminole, were held March 26, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. in New Hope Nazarene Church in Hereford. Joe Martinez, pastor of the church officiated and burial was in West Park Cemetery under the direction of Rix Funeral Directors.
Mr. Rodriguez died Saturday, March 22, 2003 in Amarillo.
He was born May 18, 1956, in Eagle Pass. He was a self-employed carpenter and remodeling contractor.
Survivors include his spouse, Cristina Lucio; three daughters, Yolanda Rodriguez, Rosalina Rodriguez and Rachel Rodriguez, all of Hereford; his mother Consuelo Rodriguez of Seminole; a brother, Francisco Rodriguez of Seminole; a sister, Isabel Zapata of Hereford and 13 grandchildren.
Gwen Smith
1943-2003
Gwen Smith, 59, of Groesbeck, a former Seminole resident, died Tuesday, March 25, in Dallas.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 28, in the First Baptist Church of Groesbeck with Dr. Troy Brooks officiating. Burial followed in Faulkenberry Cemetery.
She was born September 28, 1943, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, to Omer and Geneva Young. She lived in Seminole where she graduated from high school. She attended West Texas State University in Canyon and received a degree in English and mathematics.
She moved to Midland in 1966 and married Bob Smith in 1967. She taught school in Midland before going to work in the petroleum industry. She lived in Midland for 33 years before she retired to Groesbeck in 1999.
She is survived by her husband; sons, Tod Smith of Wylie and Kyle Smith of Plano; mother, Geneva Young of Tyler; brothers, Travis Young of Tyler and Steve Young of El Paso; and sisters, Gayle Corger of Tyler and Amy Chadwick of Sweetwater.

Virgie O. Adcock
1920-2003
Services for Virgie O. Adcock, 82, of Denver City, the sister of Mozelle Hamilton of Seagraves, were held at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday June 25) at the 12th Street Church of Christ in Seagraves, with the Rev. Dale Dozier officiating. Interment will be in Gaines County Cemetery under the direction of Mark A. Jones Funeral Directors.
She died Sunday, June 22, in Denver City.
She was born December 20, 1920 in Alanreed and moved to the Willow Wells Community in 1924 and later to Seagraves. She graduated from school in Seagraves and had lived in Denver City the past several years. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and First Christian Church in Denver City. She worked as a dispatcher for the Gaines County Sheriff’s office and the city police department. She loved to garden, read and do handwork. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Cecil Ferrell and James Adcock, along with four brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include, her sister, Mozelle Hamilton of Seagraves; and several nieces and nephews.
Edna Lillian Parker
1911-2003
Services for Edna Lillian Parker, 92, a long-time Seminole resident, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 23, at First United Methodist Church of Seminole, with the Rev. Derral Evins officiating. Burial was in Gaines County Cemetery South under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.
She died June 20, in Berryville in the home she shared with her daughter, Sandra Brewer.
She was born in McGregor February 26, 1911 and attended school in Lamesa and Seminole, graduating in 1929. She married Elton B. Parker on June 4, 1931. She was a resident of Seminole until September of 2001 and worked many years for the Seminole City Water Department. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in April of 1998.
Survivors include two sons, Dexter Parker and his wife, Barbara, of Seminole and Don Parker and his wife, Sandy of Houston; two daughters, Sandra Brewer of Berryville and Mary Clark of Paducah; a brother, Carl Davis and wife, Ireta, of Seminole; a sister, Marguerite Marcus of Hobbs, New Mexico; three sisters-in-law, Freida Martin of Seminole, Margie Ray of Aztec, New Mexico and Ruby Parker of Andrews; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were her grandsons, including, Jimmy Brewer, Ricky Brewer, Brett Parker, Roy Johnson, J. Clark, Tim Thompson, Dr. Don Parker, Jr., Captain David Parker, First Sergeant Dennis Parker and Alan Gragg.
Anita Augero Gonzales
1970-2003
Services for Anita Augero, 33, of Seminole, were held Tuesday, August 5, at 3 p.m. in the Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel of Denver City with the Rev. Gilbert Urias officiating. Interment followed in the Denver City Memorial Park.
She was born March 19, 1970 in Clinton, Oklahoma to Charlie and Cleo Augero. She married Ruben Gonzales August 15, 1986 in San Antonio. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband; two children, Ruben, Jr. and Luckee Gonzales of Seminole; her parents, Charlie and Cleo Augero of Seminole; one sister, Charla Acosta of Denver City; and an uncle, Chris Aguirre of Seminole.
Pallbearers were, Roger Paul Garcia, Rodney Gene Garcia, Robert Scott Garcia, Jacob Acosta, Marcello Acosta, Eddie Hilburn, Calvin Leonard and Pilar Garcia.
Grace McCullough
1919-2003
Services for Grace McCullough, 84, of Seminole, were held at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday, August 6) at First Presbyterian Church of Seminole with the Rev. Gayle Perkins officiating. Burial was in the Gaines County Cemetery under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.
She died Monday, August 4 at Midland Memorial Hospital after an illness.
She was born February 13, 1919 in Keller and married Buster McCullough June 3, 1940 in Lovington, New Mexico. She was a resident of Seminole 79 years, moving from Keller. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a past member of Eastern Star, the Volunteer Fire Department wives auxiliary and was active in the Girl Scout program in Seminole. She was a big fan of Seminole High School football and was named "Fan of the Year" in 1979. She was preceded in death by a great grandson, Zachary Henson, in 1998.
Survivors include her husband, Buster, of Seminole; three sons, Buster F. McCullough of Midland, Wayland W. McCullough of Seminole and Jack A. McCullough of Odessa; two daughters, Toni Grace Taylor of Houston and Brenda Danley of Midland; two sisters, Coyet Miller of Seminole and Billie Mills of Amarillo; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Kelsey Logan Angel Fund in Midland.
