Tuesday, 2:00 p.m.
(Taylor) Margarette D. Galnor, 76 of Taylor, died Friday in a Temple hospital.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor
with burial in the Taylor City Cemetery. Visitation will be held today from 6-8 p.m.
at the funeral home. Ms. Galnor was born in Little Elm, Texas and grew up in Hubbard.
She and her husband lived in Waco before moving to the Taylor area. She worked as a
bookkeeper for a local beverage company, Taylor ISD and also worked with the South Bend
ISD of Houston when her husband's work moved them there. They returned to Taylor in
December of 1983 after her retirement. Survivors include:
Her husband: Jerry Galnor of Taylor.
1 son: David Galnor and wife Sandra of Pflugerville.
1 brother: Douglas Brazell and wife charlene of Oklahoma.
Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Arzella Pullins
Wednesday 11am
(Taylor) Arzella Pullins, 65 of Thrall, died early Sunday at her residence. Funeral
services will be Wednesday at 11am at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor with burial in
the Taylor City Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 6-7 pm at the funeral home. Mrs.
Pullins was a cook for the SPJST nursing home in Taylor for three years and was a
member of the First Baptist Church in Taylor. Survivors include:

Valany Gonzales
Wednesday, 10:00 a.m.
(Taylor) Valany Gonzales, 49 of Taylor died near Taylor. Funeral services will be held
today at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with burial to follow at Our Lady
of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery in Taylor. Mrs. Gonzales was born in Taylor where she lived
her all of her life. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and teaching them how
to make tamales.
Survivors include:

(Bartlett) Gary Jackson, 49 of Austin died Sunday at his residence. Funeral services will be
today at 1:00 p.m. at Taylor's Valley Baptist Church in Temple with burial in the Bartlett
City Cemetery. Mr. Jackson was a Mechanical Engineer for 12 years with Spinal Concepts.
Survivors include:
Mother: Betty Jackson of Academy
Grandmother: Alice Jones of Temple
Sister: Lisa Marek of Temple
1 Niece, 1 Nephew, and 1 great niece also survive.

Wednesday, 2:00 p.m.
(Bartlett) Gene Jones, 83 of Austin, formerly of Bartlett, died Saturday in the Palmer
Woods Assisted Living Nursing Home. Graveside services will be held today at 2 p.m. at
Bartlett City Cemetery. Ms. Jones was born in Bell Falls, Texas and was a homemaker.
Survivors include:
1 son: E. T. Jones III of Dallas.
1 step son: Sam Wilson and wife Pat of Houston.
3 grandchildren, 1 step granddaughter, and 2 great grandchildren also survive.

Lois Harris
Wednesday, 2:00 p.m.
(Rockdale) Lois Harris, 80 of Rockdale, died Sunday at Richards Memorial Hospital in
Rockdale. Graveside services will be held today at 2 p.m. at the IOOF Cemetery. Ms. Harris
was born in Bolivar, Missouri and had been a resident of Rockdale the past 21 years. She is
survived by:
Her husband: Ken Harris of Rockdale.
2 daughters: Patricia Karen Keith of New Braunfels, and
Vicki Lynn Linley and husband Benny of Victoria.
Step children: Kenneth Harris III and wife Betty of Dallas,
Mike Harris and wife Lorrie of Cameron,
Judi Juarez and husband Dario of Fort Worth, and
Jeanette Cross and husband Skip of Broken Arrow, Ok.
2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild also survive.

(Taylor) Kathy Heap, 47, formerly of Taylor, died Saturday at St. Thomas Hospital in
Nashville, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Providence Funeral
Home in Taylor with burial in the Taylor City Cemetery. Ms. Heap was born in Taylor and had
lived in Nashville the past 25 years. Survivors include:
Her husband: Jimmy Heap, Jr. of Nashville.
1 son: Jimmy C. Heap of Nashville.
Her mother: Opal Rathke of Taylor.
1 brother: Russell Rathke and wife Bonnie of Pflugerville.
3 sisters: Brenda Eschberger and husband Rodney of Round Rock,
Debbie Niemtschk and husband Billy Bob Lewis of Austin, and
Jennifer Gamble and husband Rodney of Thorndale.
Mother-in-law: Jerry Heap of Taylor.
Brother-in-law: David Heap and wife Dee of Elgin.

(Taylor) Edith Weathers Martin, 71 of Taylor died Tuesday at her residence. Funeral services
will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Taylor with burial in the Pebble
Grove Cemetery in Maysfield. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Condra Funeral
Home in Taylor. Mrs. Martin was a retired Cosmetologist. She was a member of the Faith
Baptist Church. Survivors include:

Son: Stephen Ranold Martin of Taylor
Sister: Ollie Mae Simmons

(Taylor) Fabian Tovar, 65 of Taylor died Wednesday at a Round Rock hospital. Funeral
services are pending with Providence Funeral Home in Taylor.

(Cameron) Mr. Ray Bartholf, 85 of Galena Park, died Monday at his residence. Graveside services will be held today at 12:00 p.m. in Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 10:00 til 12:00 noon at Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Cameron.
Mr. Bartholf was born in Shreveport LA in 1917. He was a carpenter and a minister and member of Galena Park Assembly of God Church.

(Cameron) Ruby Swanzy, 80 of Cameron died Monday in a Temple Hospital. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Cameron with burial in the Ben Arnold Cemetery in Ben Arnold. Mrs. Swanzy was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Cameron. She served as election judge for Milam County for many years. Survivors include:

Son: Donnie Swanzy of Angleton
2 Daughters: Joy Schneider of Rogers and
Sharon Marek of the Meeks Community

John Pernice
(Cameron) John A. Pernice, 83 of Cameron, died Monday at his home. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Mr. Pernice was born in 1919 in Sicily, Italy. He served in the Army Tank and Infantry during WWII. He worked as a route salesman for Coca-Cola for more than 27 years. Mr. Pernice was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2010 of Cameron where he served as Bingo Chairman for over 20 years; he was a member of St. Monica's Catholic Church.
Survivors include:
wife: Jodie Pernice of Cameron
1 son: James Pernice of Wichita, Kansas
1 daughter: Kay Raymond of Cameron
5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren also survive.
Memorials maybe made to VFW Post 2010 of Cameron or to the St. Monica's Catholic Church Building Fund.

(Taylor) George J. Strmiska, 72 of Granger died Tuesday at Brackenridge Hospital in Austin. Funeral services will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. at SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Granger with burial in the Holy Cross Cemetery. Rosary will be Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Providence Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. Funeral
services will be held today at 10:00 at Phillips and Luckey Funeral
Home in Rockdale with burial in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale.
Ms. Praesel was born in Georgetown and lived in Rockdale for many years
before moving to Anchorage in 1996. She was a homemaker and a member
of the Peace Lutheran Church in Rockdale. Survivors include:

Donald Praesel of Anchorage
BROTHER: Raymond Clark of Thrall
