Zoda Gladis Miller
Zoda Gladis Miller, 81, died Thursday in a local nursing home.
Gravesides services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Elmwood Memorial Park with the Rev. Darrel Riggs officiating, directed by Elmwood Funeral Home.
Mrs. Miller was born in Fort Worth. She was the widow of Jim Miller, whom she married in Abilene. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, Tom Strickland and Roy Strickland both of Cal., Adrian Strickland of Anderson, Ind., and Jerry Autry of Texas; one daughter, Pat Jones of Philadelphia, Pa.; three sisters, Elsie Mae Russell of Abilene, Ollie B. Millsap of Fort Worth, and Alice Woody of Cisco; three brothers, Earnest Patton of Amarillo, Joe Patton of Cal., and Homer Patton of Fort Worth; several grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Elaine Moss Kasinger
CLYDE - Elaine Moss Kasinger, 80, died Thursday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Anson Church of Christ with Sam Hanson and Murphy Rhoads officiating. Burial will be in McCauley Cemetery, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mrs. Kasinger was born in Fisher County. She attended school in McCauley and also Draughns Business College in Abilene. She married William Tom Kasinger in 1948. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband of Clyde; three sons, Dale McNinch of Tillsonburg, Ontario, Canada, Steve Kasinger of Mesquite and David Kasinger of Abilene; two daughters, Sue Hodges of Post and Beth Anheier of Clyde; one brother, George Moss of Anson; two sisters, Ethel Zullems Bently and Evelyn Estep both of Anson; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Viewing will be in Anson Church of Christ at 9 a.m. Monday.

Edward F. Capers
Edward F. Capers, 64, died Thursday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Baker Heights Church of Christ with Jennings Craig, Gayle Potter, and Jimmy Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery, directed by Allen-Korzenewski Funeral Home, 1442 North Second.
Mr. Capers was born in Gorman. He married Dorothy Crow in Big Spring in 1965. He attended school in Breckenridge and played football for the University of Houston. He was an Army veteran and had worked at Mrs. Baird's Bakery, Holsum Bakery and at Hendrick Medical Center as a courier. He was a member of the Baker Heights Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife of Abilene; two sons, Cliff Capers of Tulsa, Okla. and Mark Anthony Capers of Abilene; one daughter, Laurie Robinson of Abilene; one sister, Sherron Pistole of Houston; and six grandchildren.

Lucille Rokahr Johnson
Lucille Rokahr Johnson, 91, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church Chapel with the Rev. Don Cauble officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park Cemetery, directed by Allen-Korzenewski Funeral Home.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Mexico. She was the widow of Homan Johnson, whom she married in 1930. She had worked as a secretary at Hardin-Simmons University. She was a charter member of the Ladies Auxillary of Hendrick Medical Center and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Jim W. Johnson of Abilene; one sister, Merle McMillan of California; and five grandchildren.

Eva Lena George
Eva Lena George, 88, died Friday in a local nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Lawnhaven Memorial Park in San Angelo with the Rev. Marvin Haile officiating, directed by Allen-Korzenewski Funeral Home, 1442 North 2nd.
Ms. George was born in Eastland County. She was the widow of Melvin "Bill" Hunt. She was a retired waitress and a member of the Community Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Betty Lampier of San Angelo, Francis Gay Howsley of Waco, and Joy Powers of Abilene; one sister, Viola Sprouse of Abilene; one stepson, Rick George of N.M.; long-time companion, Dick George of Abilene; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Marie Keeney, 79, died Friday at a local hospital.
Graveside services will at 2 p.m. today at Coleman Cemetery with Louise Strength officiating, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mrs. Keeney was born in Hillsboro and attended school in Albany. She was the widow of Vernon Cecil Minor, whom she married in 1936. She married Isaac Keeney in Abilene in 1948. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband of Abilene; one son, Walter B. Minor of Katy; a stepson, I. Floyd Keeney of Coleman; two stepdaughters, Nancy Bebles of Coleman and Carolyn Broyles of Coleman; one brother, Ed Burge of Aspermont; 14 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

D. B. Arnwine
MERKEL - D. B. Arnwine, 81, died Saturday in an Abilene hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Rose Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Griffith officiating directed by Starbuck Funeral Home.
Mr. Arnwine was born in Whitewright. He married Dorothy Barr in Carson City, Nev. in 1942. He served in the Navy in World War II. He was a farmer and a rancher. He was past director of Hodges Gin and was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife of Merkel; two sons, Allan Arnwine of Roby and Greg Arnwine of Merkel; two daughters, Paula Dudley of Merkel and Susan Holland of Rockwall; two sisters, Raye Matthews of Evergreen, Col., and Nelle Dake of Alcoa, Tenn.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Estelle Taylor Thomson
Estelle Taylor Thomson, 85, died Thursday in a local nursing home.
Services were held Saturday in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Nash officiating.
Mrs. Thomson was raised in Glendale, Cal. She was the widow of Berwin F. Thomson, whom she married in California in 1933. She worked for Investment Corporation in California. She was a violinist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include two nieces, Jan Noles of Abilene and Toni Staplin of Tallahassee, Fla.; and one sister-in-law.

Chester L. Myers
Chester L. Myers, 80, died Saturday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory with the Rev. Wayne Oglesby officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mr. Myers was born in Alvarado. He was the widower of Mary Virginia Martin, whom he married in South Carolina in 1952. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II, the Korean conflict, and in Vietnam. He was a member of the Army Association, Disabled American Veterans and Masonic Lodge. He was a history instructor at McMurry University. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include a son, Mike Myers of Odessa; one sister, Roxie Millsap of Burleson; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

John Robert "Bob" McKinney
John Robert "Bob" McKinney, died Saturday in a local nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Elmwood Memorial Park with the Rev. Sam Crosby officiating, directed by North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange.
Mr. McKinney was born in McClellan County. He married Mary Louise Glenn in White Chapel in 1979. He worked for Cogdell Auto Store, Boatwright Contractors and Bunkley Brothers Construction before joining the Mac Eplen Restaurants where he worked until his retirement. He was a member of the Hobah Lodge of the Masons and the Christian Scientist Church.
Survivors include his wife of Abilene; one son, Jesse Y. Glenn III of San Angelo; one daughter, Mary Jane Gilbert of Fort Worth; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the National Down Syndrome Association or favorite charity.
