Norma Salazar
COLORADO CITY -- Norma Salazar, 26, lifelong local resident, died Tuesday in an Abilene hospital.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today in Kiker-Seale Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be at 2 p.m. Friday in St. Ann's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mitchell County Cemetery.
Mrs. Salazar was born in Colorado City, where she married Lupe Salazar in 1993. She worked as a housekeeper and was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, of Colorado City; two sons, Alexander Mitchell Salazar and Jeremiah Isaiah Salazar, both of Colorado City; her parents, Lupe and Petra Guerrero of Colorado City; one sister, Irma Munoz of Colorado City; and one niece and one nephew.

Leona Rae Chapmond
WINTERS -- Leona Rae Chapmond, 77, died Tuesday in an Austin hospital.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in North Main Street Church of Christ with Jack Bruce and Lanny Bahlman officiating. Burial will be in Northview Cemetery, directed by Winters Funeral Home.
Mrs. Chapmond was born in Wilmeth and attended school in Mazeland and Wingate. She married A.C. Bruce in 1940. She married Lawrence Chapmond in 1950 in Winters and was a retired beautician. She was a member of North Main Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Jack Bruce of Lubbock and Tommy Chapmond of Austin; one sister, Faye Campbell of Garland; and two grandchildren.

Opie Dalby Gibson
ASPERMONT -- Opie Dalby Gibson, 94, lifelong Stonewall County resident, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Aspermont First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Jim Reinbolt and Jeff Sedberry officiating. Burial will be in Aspermont Cemetery, directed by McCoy Funeral Home.
Mrs. Gibson was a district officer in Texas Federation of Women's Clubs and was a past president of Aspermont Phoenix Club. She was a member of Stonewall County Senior Citizens. She was active in United Methodist Women at First United Methodist Church, and was the widow of Charles D. Gibson, whom she married in 1921.
Survivors include one daughter, Dorothy Jones of Aspermont; one son, Charles D. "Hoot" Gibson of Goldthwaite; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Bobby Walker
BROWNWOOD -- Bobby G. Walker, 70, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Eastlawn Memorial Park in Early with the Rev. John Beckling officiating, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Mr. Walker was born in Brownwood, where he lived most of his life, and served with the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He married Billie Mattix Sikes in 1965 in Dallas and was a retired car salesman. He was a member of Central Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, of Brownwood; two sons, Michael Walker of Willis and Ken Sikes of Virginia Beach, Va.; two daughters, Stacey McDermott of Conroe and Deborah Krischke of Brownwood; his mother, Gladys Walker of Brownwood; eight grandchildren; and one aunt.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Charles Elston
HUCKABAY -- Charles A. Elston, 90, died Tuesday in a Stephenville nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dale Cartwright and Dr. Van Christian officiating. Burial will be in Huckabay Cemetery.
Mr. Elston was born in Erath County, where he lived most of his life, and was a retired mechanic and welder. He was a former Huckabay school trustee. He was a 32nd degree Mason in Huckabay Lodge 564. He was a deacon at Huckabay Baptist Church and was the widower of Myrtle Morrow Elston, whom he married in 1929 in Desdemona.
Survivors include six sons, Allen Elston of Madras, Ore., Kenneth Elston, Edwin Elston and Mack Elston, all of Stephenville, Gene Elston of Sweetwater and Carroll Elston of Morgan Mill; 22 grandchildren; and 45 great-grandchildren.

Mary Mitchell Robertson
Mary Mitchell Robertson, 90, of Grand Prairie, died Thursday in an Arlington care center.
Graveside services will be today at 2 p.m. in the Colorado City Cemetery with the Rev. Glenda Johnson officiating, directed by Kirker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mrs. Robertson was born Oct. 28, 1908, in Sagerton and grew up in Abilene, Washington, D.C., and Colorado City. A graduate of Colorado City High School, she married Scott Robertson in 1926 in Colorado City and was a mother and a homemaker. She was a Methodist.
Survivors include one daughter, Wilma Smithson of Arlington; two sons, George J. Robertson of Phoenix, Ariz., and Scott A. Robertson, of Arlington, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Beatrice 'Bea' Fox
BROWNWOOD - Beatrice "Bea" Fox, 78, of Brownwood, died Wednesday in a local nursing home.
Services will be 2 p.m. today in Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Green officiating. Burial will be in Bangs Cemetery.
Mrs. Fox was born Oct. 19, 1920 in Brownwood and was a lifetime Brownwood resident. She married Hugh H. Fox in 1942 and was a retired co-owner of Fox Chemical Supplies. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband, of Brownwood; one daughter, Pamela Kaye Flynn of Fort Worth and a granddaughter.
Memorials may be sent to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.

BROWNWOOD - B. Irene Burnum, 71, of Brownwood, died Tuesday in a local hospital.
Services will be 10 a.m. today at the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Ted Kell officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn Memorial Park, Early.
Mrs. Burnum was born April 14, 1927 in Elk City, Okla. She had lived in Brownwood since 1994. She married Paul Dean Burnum in Sayre, Okla., in 1946, was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, of Brownwood; one daughter, Nancy Wylie of Wylie; one son, Brad Burnum of Springfield, Mo.; two sisters, Betty Stone of Sealy and Sue Belmonte of Sunset Beach, Calif.; a brother, Roy Lewis of South Fork, Colo., and four grandchildren.

Lolete Shaver
BROWNWOOD - Lolete Shaver, 82, of Brownwood, died Thursday at a local hospital. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. today at Greenleaf Cemetery, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
She was born in Llano and was married to Presley Hardin, who preceded her in death. She later married Aubrey Shaver, who also preceded her in death. She was a homemaker.
Two sons, Presley Hardin Jr. and John Roger Hardin, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include three sisters, Ruby Lee Cox, of Austin, Bess Keener of Mesquite and Marietta Adams of San Saba.

Ola B. Hailey
CISCO - Ola B. Hailey, 94, died Friday in a Cisco nursing home. Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church of Cisco. With the Rev. Gary Tucker officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery directed by Kimbrough Funeral Home of Cisco.
Mrs. Hailey was born in Hill County and married Clyde E. Hailey in Mangum in 1923. She had been a receptionist at the C&B Medical Clinic and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include five daughters, Margaret King of Cisco, Billie Tatom of Hilltop Lakes, Wanda Gray of Odessa and Kay Cockerell of Abilene ; a sister, Goldie Slaughter of Cisco; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the First United Methodist Church of Cisco.

Hilva Angel
COLEMAN - Hilva Angel, 84, of Coleman, died Friday in a local hospital
Services will be today at 4 p.m. at Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Eastlawn Memorial Park, Early.
Mrs. Angel was born Nov. 18, 1914 in May. A seamstress, she married Marvin L. Angel in May in 1933 and had lived in Coleman since 1981. She was a Methodist and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include one daughter, Sue Williams of Coleman; one son, Rendal Angel of Garland; one sister, Lillian Jackson of Cross Plains; three brothers, Logan Stewart and Garth Stewart, both of May, and Delton Stewart of San Antonio; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
