GOREE - Audrey D. Cooke, 85, died Thursday.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Goree Baptist Church with the Rev. Dick Griffith officiating. Burial will be in Brushy Cemetery, directed by McCauley-Smith Funeral Home of Munday.
Mrs. Cooke was born in Haskell. She was the widow of Jim Cooke. She was a member of the Brushy Missionary Church and the Goree Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and was in the Women's Missionary Union.
Survivors include three daughters, Tish Carlson of Fort Worth, Teresa Quick of Rockwall, and Robbie Forsberg of Alvarado; two brothers, J.R. Griffith of Trenton, Tenn., and Roddy Griffith of Calif.; two sisters, Nettie Partridge of Munday and Beth Ard of Zwolle, La.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

George William Eiland
SAN ANTONIO - George William Eiland, 71, formerly of Brownwood, died Thursday in a Houston hospital.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today in the Greenleaf Cemetery in Brownwood, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Mr. Eiland was born in Paint Rock. He was a graduate of Howard Payne University and a retired Baptist minister. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.
Survivors include one son, George Eiland, Jr., of Rusk; two daughters, Glennette McKinnon and Ginger Bourque, both of Orange; stepchildren, Colleen Eiland and Edward Eiland, both of San Antonio; sister, Anemone Raiborn of San Angelo; and three grandchildren.

Gladys Garner
COLEMAN - Gladys Garner, 92, formerly of Coleman, died Friday in a Luling hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Walker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Coleman City Cemetery.
Mrs. Garner was born in Gustine. She was the widow of Jim Garner, whom she married in Gustine in 1925. She worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Avell Tedder of Farmers Branch and Sandra Wise of Trinity; three sons, Garland Garner of Coleman, Darrell Garner of Orlando, Fla., and Larry "Buster" Garner of Luling; one brother, Neal Webb of Mo.; and 18 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Coleman.

Walter Lee Hodges
BROWNWOOD - Walter Lee Hodges, 86, died Thursday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Eastlawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Hodges was born in Lott. He was the widow of Dorothy Pulaski Hodges, whom he married in Odessa in 1948. He served in the U.S. Army and was an inspector for Phillips 66.
Survivors include one brother, William Hodges of San Angelo; sister-in-law, Marion Hodges of Lake Brownwood; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitations will be from 7-8 p.m. today.
Memorials may be made to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch in Tascosa.

Lola Mae Wells
BANGS - Lola Mae Wells, 64, died Thursday at her home.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Art Allen officiating. Burial will be in Gamerick Cemetery, Grand Falls, Texas.
Mrs. Wells was born in Owens. She was the widow of James Edward Wells Sr., whom she married in Las Cruces, N.M. in 1950. She was a retired cook and waitress, and a Baptist.
Survivors include three sons, Ronnie Wells of Casper, Wyo., Alvin Wells of Monahans and John Wells of Early; four daughters, Allie Whorton of Mendin, La., Lou Ann Hodges of Bangs, and Jeannie Weldon and Norma Bridges, both of Early; her mother Elsie Hartman of Early; six brothers, Joyce Dean "J.D." Heard of Mendon, La., Bobby Heard, Lonnie Heard and George Heard, all of Early, Eddie Heard of Van Horn, and Mickie Heard of Frisco; companion, Hollis Hartman of Bangs; 23 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Garren Wayne Denson
Garren Wayne Denson, 17, died Friday at a local hospital from injuries received in a vehicle accident.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Homes Chapel of Faith, 5701 Hwy 277 South, with Dr. Montia Setzler officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Garren was born in Abilene and was a senior at Clyde High School, where he played on the football team. He had been a resident of Abilene since moving from Hamby, where he was a member of the Hamby Baptist Church.
Survivors include his parents, Jack and Wanetha Denson of Abilene; a sister, Erin Denson of Abilene; grandparents, Jerlene and Wayne Setzler of DeLeon, and Jack and JoAnn Denson of Stamford; and several aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Rose Faraci
BUFFALO GAP - Rose Faraci, 75, died Friday in an Abilene hospital
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Buffalo Gap First Baptist church, with the Revs. Wayne Heinze and Steve Joiner officiating. Burial will be in Buffalo Gap Cemetery, directed by Fry-Bartlett Funeral Home of Tuscola.
Mrs. Faraci was born in Cleveland, Ohio and moved to Buffalo Gap in 1976. She married Biagio J. "Bill" Faraci in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1942. She was a member of Rose Park Senior Citizens in Abilene, Abilene Heart and Sole Walkers Club, and Elm Creek Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband of the home; three daughters, Florence Weiskittel of North Olmstead, Ohio, Mary Vines of Buffalo Gap, and Donna Walton of Tuscola; two sons, Joe Faraci of Calif. and Bill Faraci of Abilene; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Bertie Ann Rutledge McKee
CLYDE - Bertie Ann Rutledge McKee, 94, died Friday at an Abilene residence.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Clyde Church of Christ with Jim Hall officiating. Burial will be in the Clyde Cemetery, directed by Bailey Funeral Home.
Mrs. McKee was born in Lueders and attended Iona High School. She was the widow of John Aaron McKee, whom she married in Clyde in 1923. She worked for many years in the alterations department of Thornton's Department Store. She was a homemaker and a member of the Clyde Church of Christ.
Survivors include four sons, Willie D. McKee of Granbury, John A. McKee and Joe McKee, both of Houston, and Jack Eli McKee of Eula; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Oleta Robertson Leamon
EASTLAND - Oleta Robertson Leamon, 83, of Abilene, died Saturday at an Abilene hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Eastland Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Bass officiating, directed by Bakker Funeral Home.
Mrs. Leamon was born in Dear Springs and grew up in the Carbon area, graduating from Carbon High School. She attended Tarleton College. She married William H. Leamon in Yuma, Ariz., in 1948. She lived in California until returning to Texas in 1951. She was a homemaker and a member of the Fairmont Methodist Church of Abilene.
Survivors include her husband of Abilene; one son, Stanley Leamon of Clyde; one brother, Bonnie Robertson of Eastland; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 1-6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Sears Methodist Center in Abilene.

Joe G. 'Blue' Soto
AMARILLO - Joe G. "Blue" Soto, 52, died Thursday.
A prayer service will be at 6:30 p.m. today at the Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Caprock Christian Fellowship with the Revs. Max Beggs and Ron Pollan officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Soto was born in Del Rio and had lived in Abilene from 1958 to 1969. He married Carolina Lopez in Abilene in 1966. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a drill instructor and served with the U.S. Army reserves. He worked for Pantex as a fireman for many years. He had also worked as a Realtor. He was a member of the Elk's Lodge, American Legion, LULAC starting the Amarillo chapter, and the Moose Lodge. He had served as a softball coach.
Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters, Lillian Soto Urias of Amarillo and Raquel Soto of San Antonio; two sons, Joe Angel Soto and Abel Lopez Soto, both of Amarillo; six sisters, Tina Najera, Lupe Marques, Juanita Hernandez, Lydia Stokes, and Nancy Ruelas, all of Abilene; two brothers, Raymond Soto of Abilene and Antonio Soto of Amarillo; his grandmother, Maria DeJesus C. Soto of Porterfield, Calif.; and nine grandchildren.
The family will be at 5717 Berget Dr.
