Robert C. 'Bob' Holt
MAY - Robert C. "Bob" Holt, 71, died Wednesday in a Brownwood hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Lynn Starnes and Dennis Hester officiating. His body will be cremated following the services and later interred at the May Cemetery.
Mr. Holt was born in Fort Worth and had been a resident of May since 1980. He married Loyce Harmon in Fort Worth in 1949. He was an engineer for General Electric and a member of the Masonic Lodge and First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of May; three sons, Randall Holt of Ariz., Robert Holt of Colo., and Richard Holt of Pennsylvania.; one daughter, Mickenzie Carter of Calif.; his mother, Ella B. Holt of Brownwood; three brothers, William Malcolm Holt Jr. of Crockett, Marvin Wayne Holt of Odessa, and John David Holt of Abilene; and five grandchildren.

Ruby Ruth Hart
SNYDER - Ruby Ruth Hart, 84, died Friday in a local care center.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Culwell officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Hart was born in Frederick, Okla. She was the widow of W.S. Hart, whom she married in Frederick, Okla., in 1934. She was a member of Cogdell Memorial Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and worked in the snack bar from 1971 to 1992. She was a member of the Colonial Hill Baptist Church and a housewife.
Survivors include one daughter, Jo Evelyn Smith of Granbury; three sons, Bob Hart of Snyder, Larry Hart of Harrisburg, Mo., and Richard Hart of Granbury; one sister, Lillie Lindsey of Longview; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Allen Eugene Gann
COLEMAN - Allen Eugene Gann, 86, died Saturday in a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Glen Cove Cemetery with Roger Ellison officiating, directed by Stevens Funeral Home.
Mr. Gann was born in Eden and attended school in Glen Cove and Coleman. He married Anna Mae Starnes in Cross Plains in 1941. He worked on a ranch in the Ozona area for over 20 years before moving to California. He returned to the area in 1976. He was a Methodist.
Survivors include his wife of Coleman; and one brother, Troy Cotton Gann of Gallup, N. M.

Allen Beadel
BROWNWOOD - Allen Beadel, 86, died Saturday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Andrew Bradley officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Beadel was born in Lake Village, Ark., and had been a Brownwood resident since 1945. He was the widower of Roberta Baker, whom he married in 1938. He married Harriett Weedon in 1985. He was the co-owner of J.R. Beadel and Company and a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during World War II. He was a member of Church of Good Shepherd.
Survivors include his wife of Brownwood; son, Bob Beadel of Brownwood; sisters, Margaret Glidewell of Pflugerville, Lila Alfrey of New Braunfels, and Kitty Fowler of Marble Falls; two grandchildren; and one great-grand child.

Alyene Arthur
Alyene N. Arthur, 73, died Saturday at a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Hawley Cemetery with Ronnie Hendon officiating, directed by North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange.
Mrs. Arthur grew up in Bronte and moved to Abilene in 1943. She had lived in Hawley for 25 years. She worked for Joe T. Smith Transport for a number of years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She was the widow of Tom Bill Arthur.
Survivors include two sons, Jeff Savage of Abilene and Jackie Slater Jr. of Brownwood; two daughters, Sandra E. Buddin of Marion, La., and Tammy Catoe of Abilene; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Barbara Arpe Murphy
Barbara Arpe Murphy, 60, died Saturday at her home after a lengthy illness.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Hawley Cemetery with the Rev. Curtis Cadenhead officiating, directed by Girdner Funeral Home, 111 Elm.
Mrs. Murphy was born in Loraine and graduated from Roscoe High School in 1956. She was a homemaker for 40 years. She married Raymond R. Murphy Sr. in 1958.
Survivors include her husband, of Abilene; one son, Raymond Murphy Jr. of Abilene; two daughters, Audrey Murphy of Abilene and Brenda Murphy of Clyde; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

H.A. 'Bill' McDavid
H.A. "Bill" McDavid, 87, died Saturday at a local nursing center.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Oddfellows Section, with the Rev. Archie Echols officiating, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mr. McDavid was born in San Angelo and was retired from sales at Grissom's Department Store after 35 years. He was an Army veteran and a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He married Lucille Venetta Sharp in 1971 in Lawton, Okla.
Survivors include his wife, of Abilene; one sister, Doris Shelton of Abilene; and one niece.

Wayne Wilson
RALLS - Wayne E. Wilson, 73, of Haskell died Friday at an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Adams Funeral Home with the Rev. Floyd Haddock officiating. Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery.
Mr. Wilson was born in Caprock and graduated from Robertson High School. He moved to Haskell from Ralls in 1993. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Emma Masonic Lodge 931 and Ralls Lions Club, where he was past president. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a former member of the Ralls Independent School District board. He married Sue Lucas in 1952 in Caprock.
Survivors include his wife, of Haskell; two daughters, Darlese Atchison of Midland and Djuna "Dj" Brunell of Panama City, Fla.; one brother, J.T. Wilson of Clovis, N.M.; three sisters, Mildred Buchanan of Coahoma, Jimmie Tucker of Ralls and Mary Evelyn Wilson of Spur; and four grandchildren.

Wade Hampton Lewallen
ELECTRA - Wade Hampton Lewallen, 58, died Friday at a local care center.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tom medley officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. today in Blackwell Cemetery in Blackwell.
Mr. Lewalley was born in Erath County and had lived in Electra for five years. He was employed by National Tank Company and was a member of First Methodist Church in Blackwell. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars in Sealy and was an Air Force veteran. He married Dorothy Ziehr in 1966 in Odessa.
Survivors include his wife, of Electra; one son, Craig Lewallen of Brownwood; one sister, Gale Hyde of Rosenberg; and his mother, Faye Lewallen of Hamilton.

Maida Andrews Mullins
BROWNWOOD - Maida Andrews Mullins, 74, died Friday at a Fort Worth hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Eastlawn Cemetery with the Rev. R.J. Elkins officiating, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Mrs. Mullins was born in Indian Creek and had lived in Brown County all her life before moving to Burleson three years ago. She was a homemaker and a Methodist. She married Robert Ray Mullins Sr. in 1946 in Brownwood; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include three sons, H.Wayne Scott of Rendon and Harold Dane Mullins and Robert Ray Mullins, both of Brownwood; two daughters, Virginia Sanders and Linda Stanisci, both of Hurst; two brothers, Robert Andrews of Gilmer and C.L. "Looney" Andrews of Brownwood; one sister, Isola Long of Rochelle; 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Claudine Underhill
SWEETWATER - Claudine Underhill, 73, formerly of Rotan, died Saturday at an Abilene hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Belvieu Cemetery with the Rev. Werth Mayes officiating, directed by Weathersbee Funeral Home of Rotan.
Mrs. Underhill was born in Lubbock and moved to Fisher County from Comanche County in 1942. She had lived in Sweetwater for 31 years and was a homemaker. She married Sam Underhill in 1951 in New Mexico.
Survivors include her husband, of Sweetwater; two sisters, Nolona Winnett of Colorado City and Mary Smauley of Seminole; two nephews and two nieces.
Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
