Anna Jean Brent-Rogers
THE COLONY — Anna Jean Brent-Rogers, 85, formerly of Colorado City, died Sunday in a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today in the Loraine Cemetery with the Rev. Dan Marshall officiating, directed by Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mrs. Brent-Rogers was born in Greenville. She was the widow of W.C. “Bill” Rogers, whom she married in Seminole in 1959. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Survivors include three sons, Billy Alger Brent of Kenai, Ark., Terry Hooper Brent of The Colony, and Roger Winfred Rogers of Little Elm; three daughters, Debra Ann Garrett of San Antonio, Pamela Jean Martin of Tye, and Jeannie Marie Keck of Little Elm; two sisters, Modell Harrington of Brownboro and Ever Marie Lote of Tyler; 20 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Minola Lee Martin McSwain
HICO — Minola Lee Martin McSwain, 69, died Tuesday in a Fort Worth Hospital.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today in the Rutledge Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Buddy Wells officiating. Burial will be in Hico Cemetery.
Mrs. McSwain was born in Trickham. She married Ray A. “Mac” McSwain in Trickham in 1947. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband of Hico; two daughters, Patricia Lynn McPherson of Granbury and Donna Beth Behnke of Robinson; one son, James Alvah McSwain of Houston; her mother Gertrude Martin of Trickham; one sister, LaVerne McClatchey of Trickham; one brother, Felton Martin of Trickham; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Hatcher J. Haskins
CISCO — Hatcher J. Haskins, 77, died Monday at his home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Dublin Cemetery with the Rev. Gary Turner officiating, directed by Chambers-Wilcox Funeral Home.
Mr. Haskins was born in Nevse, N.C., and grew up in Suffolk, Va. He attended Texas Christian University. He served in the Marine Corps during World War II. In 1947, he moved to DeLeon and worked for the DeLeon Peanut Company. He married Lola Carter in Fort Worth in 1951. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and of the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife of Cisco; one sister, Cecole Moser of Suffolk, Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Wilmer Roy ‘Buck’ Neatherlin
ASPERMONT — Wilmer Roy “Buck” Neatherlin, 82, died Tuesday at a local nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Aspermont Cemetery with the Rev. Ken Follis officiating, directed by McCoy Funeral Home.
Mr. Neatherlin was born in Roaring Springs. He married Corney Nolen in Georgewest in 1939. He was a member of the Church of Christ and had worked in the oilfield.
Survivors include his wife of Aspermont; three daughters, Dovie Lipham and Juanita Polk, both of Aspermont, and Arlene Taylor of Brownwood; four brothers, Walton “Bud” Neatherlin of Brownwood, Jessie Neatherlin of Wink, Ray Neatherlin of New Mexico, and Lonnie Neatherlin of Avoca; four sisters, Gertie Baxter, Jane Lisperance, Lenora Lowe, and Joyce Butler, all of Medina; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

K.V. ‘Kinch’ Northington
SAN ANGELO — K.V. “Kinch” Northington Jr., 74, died Monday in a San Antonio hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Fairmount Cemetery in San Angelo, directed by Johnson Funeral Home.
Mr. Northington was a veteran West Texas geologist and worked for Riley Maxwell. He was the widower of Louise Hardin, whom he married in Ballinger in 1943. He married Anna Roberts in San Angelo in 1987. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife of the home; one son, K.V. Northington III, of New Mexico; one daughter, Lisa Gordon, of Turtle Town, Tenn.; one sister, Martha Northington, of Houston; one brother, Bob Northington, of Marble Falls; and one grandchild.

Roy B. Cochran
Roy B. Cochran, 90, died Tuesday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith, 5701 U.S. Highway 277 South with the Revs. Jack Bennett and Mike Martin officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mr. Cochran was born in Locker and graduated from Junction High School. He moved to Abilene in 1947 and worked as a driller for Lofton Brothers Drilling Company and various other drilling companies. He was the widower of Nadine Lawrence Cochran. He married Allene Monk in 1984 in Abilene. He was a 50-year member of Southside Baptist Church and a deacon.
Survivors include his wife of Abilene; a daughter, Joan Cochran Bennett of Red Springs; a stepdaughter, Jeanne Wright of Abilene; a stepson, Sherman M. Monk of San Angelo; six grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-7:30 tonight at the funeral home.

Vickie Oakley Hunter
Vickie Oakley Hunter, 42, died Sunday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in the Allen-Korzenewski Funeral Home Chapel, 1443 N. Second, with the Rev. Frank Estes officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Ms. Hunter was born in Greenville and graduated from Wayland Baptist College. She had worked for social services. She was a member of University Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Misty Hunter of Austin; her mother, Nell Kitchens of Cisco; one brother, Tim Oakley of Abilene; two sisters, Debbie Gibbs of Austin and Pennie Hagins of Sanford, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Roy Therman Lambert
CLYDE — Roy Therman Lambert, 78, of Abilene, died Wednesday at a Big Spring hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Riley Fugitt officiating. Burial will be in Oplin Cemetery.
Mr. Lambert was born in Oplin. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theater. He was a farmer and a Baptist. He was a foster grandparent at Abilene State School.
Survivors include four sons, Roy Lee Lambert of Lawn, Jerry Lambert of Abilene, David Lambert of Potosi and Bobby Lambert of View; one daughter, Elaine Adams of Hawley; two brothers, Herman Lambert of Casa Grande, Ariz., and Troy Lambert of Baird; one sister, LaVell Wright of Eldorado, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will be at 1102 Clinton in Abilene.

Gladys B. Gill
CISCO — Gladys B. Gill, 88, died Wednesday at a Dallas hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Kimbrough Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chris Craig officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Gill was born in Leeville, La. She was the widow of Paul B. Gill, whom she married in Hot Springs, Ark., in 1940. She was a homemaker and the manager of the White Elephant Restaurant. She was a member of the choir, WMU, Clothes Closet Worker and Benevolence Committee at the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include three brothers, Clayton Latham and Lloyd Latham, both of Forrest City, Ark., and John Latham of Colt, Ark.; three sisters, Thelma Latham and Joy Taylor, both of Dallas, and Dora Jones of Garland; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bertie Haines Anthony
BALLINGER — Bertie Haines Anthony, 97, died Tuesday in a San Angelo nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Young Houston officiating, directed by Rains-Seale Funeral Home.
Mrs. Anthony was born in Runnels County. She was the widow of Chuck Anthony, whom she married in 1968. She owned and operated the Campus Inn in Ballinger for many years, and then opened the Quick Service Shoe Shop.
Survivors include two sons, Frank Haines of Christoval and Ken Haines of Portland, Ore.; one daughter, Lui Hegefeld of Christoval; six grandchildren; 12, great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; three great-great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
