Lois Maxine Hanna
SWEETWATER — Lois Maxine Hanna, 80, died Tuesday at a Longworth residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with the Revs. Buddy Sipe and Orvel Brantley officiating. Burial will be in Longworth Cemetery.
Mrs. Hanna was born in Longworth. She was the widow of Hylton A. Cole, whom she married in Roswell, N.M. in 1936. She married John W. Hanna in Sweetwater in 1968. She graduated from Hope High School in Hope, N.M. and had lived in Longworth since 1968. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of Longworth; two sons, Max Cole of Tolar and Ronald Cole of Memphis, Tenn.; two daughters, Lois Ruth Munsell of Redmond, Ore. And Vernice Hale of Sweetwater; two sisters, Mattie Ruth O’Neal of Yakama, Wash. And Aileen Teel, of Texaco, N.M.; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Vickie Oakley Hunter
Vickie Oakley Hunter, 42, died Sunday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today in the Allen-Korzenewski Funeral Home Chapel, 1443 N. 2nd, with the Rev. Frank Estes officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Ms. Hunter was born in Greenville and graduated from Wayland Baptist College. She had worked for social services. She was a member of University Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Misty Hunter of Austin; her stepmother, Nell Kitchens of Cisco; one brother, Tim Oakley of Abilene; two sisters, Debbie Gibbs of Austin and Pennie Hagins of Sanford, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

Matthew S. Regala
Matthew S. Regala, 48, died Wednesday in a Dallas hospital.
Prayer service will be at 7 tonight in the Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith, 5701 U.S. Highway 277 South. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. Fred Nawarskas officiating. Burial will be in Elliott-Hamil Garden of Memories.
Mr. Regala was born in San Antonio, Nubua Camarines Sur, Philippines, and graduated from St. Thomas University. He married Lilia Espares in the Philippines in 1973. He lived in California and Baird prior to moving to Abilene in 1982. He was an employee of U.S. Brass for more than 20 years. He was involved with the Key City Little League and Abilene Senior League. He was founder of the West Texas Filipino-American Association. He was a member of the City of Abilene Planing and Zoning Board and the Holy Family Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife of Abilene; three sons, Matthew Reggie E. Regala II, Felix Matthew E. Regala and Sidjonn Matthew E. “C.J.” Regala, all of Abilene; one daughter, Mabelline Gallamoza of Baltimore, Md.; three sisters, Susan Calvo of Baird, Sophie Adaog of San Antonio, and Patricia Penales of the Philippines; and several nieces and nephews.

Floyd Harold Lloyd
Floyd Harold Lloyd, 73, died Thursday in a local hospital
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church. Private graveside service will be Saturday, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 U.S. Highway 277 South.
Mr. Lloyd was born in Midian, Kan., and graduated from high school in Wellington, Kan. He attended business school in Clovis, N.M., and also attended Hardin-Simmons University. He had worked with the Santa Fe Railroad and retired after 35 years with Hack Drilling Company where he served as general partner and vice president. He married Jeanne Bender in Clovis, N.M., in 1944. He was an ordained deacon, music director, and charter member of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church. He was a deacon and member of the Sunday school staff at University Baptist Church. At the time of his death, he was a deacon at First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of Abilene; one son, Dudley Alan Lloyd of Houston; one daughter, Candy Diane Lloyd Gates of West Monroe, La.; a foster son, James Franklin Pearce of Abilene; a brother, George Vernon Lloyd Jr. of Girard, Kan.; two sisters, Gladys Todhunter of Los Angeles, Calif., and Audene Burall of Forsyth, Mo.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.

Thomas Paul Hardy
SAN ANGELO — Thomas Paul Hardy, 83, died in San Angelo.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Garden City Cemetery, directed by Johnson’s Funeral Home.
Mr. Hardy was born in Bradshaw and grew up in Glasscock County. He was the widower of Dorothy Ferrell, whom he married in Garden City in 1941. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He attended North Texas State College. In 1949 he opened a construction business in San Angelo.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen McRaney of Richmond, Va., and Paula Wood of San Angelo; one brother, David B. Hardy of Lake Isabelle, Calif.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the children’s charity of choice or the Dorothy and Tom Hardy Memorial Scholarship Fund, Concho Educator’s Federal Credit Union in San Angelo.

Joe G. ‘Blue’ Soto
AMARILLO — Joe G. “Blue” Soto, 52, died Thursday.
A prayer service will be at 6:30 p.m. today at the Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Caprock Christian Fellowship with the Revs. Max Beggs and Ron Pollan officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Soto was born in Del Rio and had lived in Abilene from 1958 to 1969. He married Carolina Lopez in Abilene in 1966. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a drill instructor and served with the U.S. Army reserves. He worked for Pantex as a fireman for many years. He had also worked as a Realtor. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, American Legion, LULAC for which he started the Amarillo chapter, and the Moose Lodge. He had served as a softball coach.
Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters, Lillian Soto Urias of Amarillo and Raquel Soto of San Antonio; two sons, Joe Angel Soto and Abel Lopez Soto, both of Amarillo; six sisters, Tina Najera, Lupe Marquez, Juanita Hernandez, Lydia Stokes, and Nancy Ruelas, all of Abilene, and Anita Ledesma of Las Vegas, Nev.; two brothers, Raymond Soto of Abilene and Antonio Soto of Amarillo; his grandmother, Maria DeJesus C. Soto of Porterfield, Calif.; and nine grandchildren.
The family will be at 5717 Berget Dr.

Leona Lindemann
BROWNWOOD — Leona Lindemann, 91, died Tuesday in a local nursing home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Southside Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Baker officiating, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lindemann was born in Grandview and attended Bartlett schools. She was the widow of Hilmer Herman Lindemann, whom she married in 1927. She was a 25-year employee of Sidran Manufacturing Company, now Brown Manufacturing. She was a charter member of Woodland Heights Baptist Church, now Southside Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Hilmer Lindemann Jr. of Abilene, Albert Charles Lindemann of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Eugene Roy Lindemann of Temple; three daughters, Lanell Lemons of Kerrville, Lavena Banta of Acampo, Calif., and Sara Craig of Arcadia, Fla.; one sister, Ruth Broughton of Brownwood; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Ruby Lorena Melton
HASKELL — Ruby Lorena Melton, 85, died Wednesday in a local care center.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the East Side Baptist Church with the Rev. David Page officiating. Burial will be in Willow Cemetery, directed by Holden-McCauley Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Melton was born in Haskell County. She was the widow of Bob Melton. She was a homemaker and a nursery worker at the East Side Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Mickey Melton of Haskell, Jack Melton of Milton Freewater, Ore., and Garry Melton of Olney; one daughter, Sue Story of Newcastle; one sister, Mabel Robins of Abilene; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Helen May Simpson
ELDON, MO. — Helen May Simpson, 79, previously of Abilene, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Mossman & Hess Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lawrence Veatch officiating. Burial will be in Eldon City Cemetery.
Mrs. Simpson was born in Poplar Bluff, Mo. She was the widow of Emmett Simpson, whom she married in 1945. She was a member of Disciples of Christian Church in Poplar Bluff, Mo., and of the Abilene Lions Club.
Survivors include one son, Edward Simpson of Abilene; one brother, Charles Duckworth of Abilene; and one sister, Carole Schneider of Rocky Mount.
Visitation will be at 8 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
