Ann Browne
COLORADO CITY — Ann Browne, 54, of Sterling City died Sunday at her home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in sterling City with the Rev. Jason McGuire officiating. Burial will be in Colorado City Cemetery, directed by Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mrs. Browne was born in Colorado City and had lived in Sterling City for 33 years. She also lived in Lubbock and Ozona. She was a dietitian for Sterling City Independent School District and a member of First Baptist Church in Sterling City. She married Robert Browne in 1962 in the Buford community.
Survivors include her husband, of Sterling City; two sons, Michael Browne of Sterling City and Randall Browne of Ovalo; her mother and stepfather, Jan and Doyle Caulder of Colorado City; and four grandchildren.

Wayne McAnally
COLORADO CITY — Wayne McAnally, 51, of Loraine and formerly of Odessa and Roscoe, died Saturday at an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Kiker-Seale Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roy Lee Epperson officiating. Burial will be in Colorado City Cemetery.
Mr. McAnally was born in Odessa and had lived in Mitchell County for 11 years. He owned and operated The Shumac Co. in Mitchell County, where he grew hydroponic tomatoes. He was a member of Northside Farmers Market Association in Abilene, where he was known as “The Tomato Man.” He was a Navy veteran and a Baptist. He married Recia Shults in 1971 in Odessa.
Survivors include his wife, of Loraine, and one sister, Julia McAnally of Sweetwater.

Edith Blankenship
OVALO — Edith L. Blankenship, 82, of Abilene and formerly of Ovalo, died Monday at an Abilene care center.
Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Rogers Cemetery with the Rev. Price Mathieson officiating, directed by Fry-Bartlett Funeral Home of Tuscola.
Miss Blankenship was born and attended school in Ovalo and worked for the Office of Price Administration in Washington, D.C., for two years during World War II. She worked for Timex in Abilene and Dyess Air Force Base before retiring. She moved to Abilene from Ovalo in 1986 and was a member of Emmanuel Community Church in Abilene.
Survivors include two brothers, Aaron Blankenship of Lawn and J.C. Blankenship of Luling; one sister, Leona Pappasan of Ballinger; and several nieces and nephews.

Jessie Doyle Wortham
ROTAN — Jessie Doyle Wortham, 100, died Sunday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cross Roads Baptist Church with the Revs. Keith Barryman and John Lowrie officiating. Burial will be in Belvieu Cemetery, directed by Weathersbee Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wortham was born in Grove and was a homemaker and a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church.
Survivors include two children, Ronald Doyle of Bloomfield, Minn., and Wynell Mullins of Henderson; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Erica S. Arispe
Erica S. Arispe, 21, died Monday in Abilene.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Ruben Coronado officiating, directed by Allen-Korzenewski Funeral Home. A prayer service will be at 7 tonight at the funeral home.
Ms. Arispe was born in Abilene and attended Abilene High School. She worked for Musgrave Holdings and was a member of Graham Street Church of Christ.
She is survived by her father, Felix Arispe; her mother, Anna Arispe; one son, Matthew Arispe; one brother, Daniel Arispe; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Naomi Martinez
Naomi Martinez, 22, of Abilene, died Monday in Abilene.
Funeral Mass will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Francis Catholic Church with the Rev. Joe Uecker officiating. Burial will be in the City Cemetery, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory. A prayer service will be at 7 tonight at the funeral home.
Mr. Martinez was a native of Abilene where she attended public schools. She was a homemaker and a Catholic.
Survivors include one son, Michael Martinez of Abilene; one daughter, Breanna Martinez of Abilene; her father, Bernardino Martinez Jr., of Abilene; her mother, Gloria Gaona Rivera of Abilene; four brothers, Felipe Martinez, Adam Martinez and J.R. Martinez, all of Abilene, and Richard Martinez of Mexia; and six sisters, Jeanette Gaona, Rosanna Moreno, Carolina Gaona, Raquel Rivera, Angelica Rivera and Rebecca Martinez, all of Abilene.

Pennie Marie Estrada
Pennie Marie Estrada, 21, of Abilene, died Monday at a local residence.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis Catholic Church with the Rev. David Matz officiating. A prayer service will be at 7 tonight at the chapel. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, directed by North’s Funeral Home, 242 Orange.
Miss Estrada was born in Anson and attended Abilene High School where she would have graduated in May. She worked for Fehr Foods and was a Catholic.
Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Estrada of Abilene; one sister, Christie Ann Estrada of Abilene; and four brothers, Wally Estrada, Mark Estrada, Tony Estrada and Thomas Cruz Estrada, all of Abilene; and her paternal grandmother, Rosaria Estrada of Woodson.

Nora Mae Parker
Nora Mae Parker, 88, of Abilene, died Tuesday at a local residence.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Masonic Cemetery in Las Cruces, N.M.
Mrs. Parker was born in Mason where she attended school. She was the widow of James Vardaman Parker, whom she married in Mason in 1928. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. She had lived in Las Cruces, N.M., for 50 years before moving to Abilene 19 years ago.
Survivors include three sons, Benjamin Thomas Parker of Osppee, N.H., Raymond Neal Parker of Houston and LaFoy Parker of Donaldston, Ark.; two daughters, Helen Ross of Abilene and Emma Galusha of Alamogordo, N.M.; a sister, Louise Ferguson of Lubbock; 21 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Walter C. ‘Jack’ Hornsby
ANSON — Walter C. “Jack” Hornsby, 82, a lifelong resident of Jones County, died Tuesday in an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lee Welch officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, directed by Lawrence-Adams Funeral Home.
Mr. Hornsby was born in Corinth and graduated from Anson High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He owned Jack’s Steak House in Anson for more than 30 years. He was Anson’s Man of the Year in 1985. He was a Baptist and a member of the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include three sons, Ronnie Hornsby of Burnett, Keith Hornsby of Carrollton and Roger Hornsby of Cedar Hill; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-7 tonight at the funeral home.

Marie Cowlishaw
BALLINGER — Marie Cowlishaw, 88, died Monday.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. H.G. Barnard officiating. Burial will be in Old Runnels Cemetery, directed by Rains-Seale Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cowlishaw was the widow of H.L. “Pete” Cowlishaw to whom she was married for 36 years.
Survivors include four daughters, Emma Smith and Ruby Wearden, both of Ballinger, Martha Carter of Arlington, and Judy Lippe of Wylie; one son, Jim Cowlishaw of McKinney; one sister, Beulah Holland of Ballinger; 19 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren
