Irene Fry
BROWNWOOD — Irene Fry, 92, died Tuesday in a local nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Austin Avenue Church of Christ with the Revs. Jerry Leslie and Bo Shero officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn Memorial Park, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home of Brownwood.
Mrs. Fry was born in San Angelo. She was the widow of L.L. Fry, whom she married in San Angelo in 1929. She was a homemaker and a real estate broker.
Survivors include one son, Leondous Fry of Port Neches; two daughters, Betty Hampton of Brownwood and Lou Ingram of Clyde; one sister, Roma Southwick of Dallas; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Clifford L. Smith
CISCO — Clifford L. Smith, 81, died Tuesday in an Eastland hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Kimbrough Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chris Craig officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Mr. Smith was born in Buffalo. He married Inez Fitzgerald in Cisco in 1938. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Navy Seabees in Newfoundland and Admiralty Islands in the South Pacific. He worked for Ensearch Exploration for 35 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife of Cisco; one daughter, Brenda Willingham of Cisco; one son, Jim Smith of Corinth; one sister, Gladys Barrett; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the West Texas Rehabilitation Center or First Baptist Church in Cisco.

Howard Kent Huckelbridge
SWEETWATER — Howard Kent Huckelbridge, 59, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ray Sanders officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories.
Mr. Huckelbridge was born in Cold Water, Kan., and had lived in Sweetwater since 1959. He married Luvina Frizzell in Sweetwater in 1964. He graduated from Divide High School and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a rancher and a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife of Sweetwater; three daughters, Marsha Harris of Blackwell, Melissa Hardgrave of San Angelo, and Melody Ewing of Abilene; one brother, Jack Huckelbridge of Abilene; one sister, Kathleen Sanders of Kenly, N.C.; stepfather, Alvin Shults of Roscoe; and six grandchildren.

Madison Paige Barrett
MARBLE FALLS — Madison Paige Barrett, infant daughter of Rick and Lisa Barrett, died Sunday.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Lakeland Hills Memorial Park near Burnet with Max Copeland officiating, directed by Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home of Marble Falls..
Survivors include her parents of Marble Falls; one sister, Lesiley Nicole Perez of Marble Falls; grandmothers, Tomasa Torres and Sarah Smith, both of Abilene; grandfathers, Joe Perez of Hereford and Keith Barrett of Georgia; and other relatives.

Eunice K. Holt Guinn
SAGERTON — Eunice K. Holt Guinn, 85, died Sunday in a local nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the United Methodist Church in Sagerton with the Rev. Daniel Ramey officiating. Burial will be in the Highland Memorial Cemetery, directed by Kinney Funeral Home of Stamford.
Mrs. Guinn was born in Tonk Valley where she attended school. She moved to Sagerton in 1928. She was the widow of Claude L. “Mose” Guinn in Walters, Okla., whom she married in 1930. She had been employed by Perry Brothers and Felt Manufacturing of Stamford. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Sagerton.
Survivors include one son, John Guinn of Sagerton; one sister, Elizabeth Holt Morgan of Hobbs, N.M.; and one grandchild.

Tessie Harper Cercy
BROWNWOOD — Tessie Harper Cercy, 86, died Wednesday at a local nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Don Newbury officiating. Burial will be in Coleman City Cemetery.
Mrs. Cercy was born in Brown County. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was the widow of John W. Harper, whom she married in Coleman in 1935, and also of A.B. Cercy.
Survivors include seven sons, Jimmy L. Harper, Richard L. Harper, and John C. Harper, all of Brownwood, Robert D. Harper of Kansas City, Mo., David L. Harper of Arlington, Mike L. Harper of Bangs, and Gary Harper of Grand Prairie; one daughter, Darlene Jeffcoat of Naples; 10 grandchildren; one sister, Tempie Newbury Woods of Early; one brother, Gene Gotcher of Brownwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6-7 tonight.

Victor A. Pittman
OLDEN — Victor A. Pittman Sr., 49, previously of Abilene, died Wednesday in an Eastland hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Merriman Cemetery, directed by Edwards Funeral Home of Eastland.
Mr. Pittman was born in Abilene and graduated from Abilene High School. He married Doris Baugh in Abilene in 1986. He worked in Ranger and Olden as a general contractor and also worked for the Ranger Junior College. He was a member of the Volunteer Fire Department and Merriman Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of Olden; two daughters, Jennifer Lee of Ranger and Robin Maddox of Granbury; three sons, Victor Pittman Jr. of Eastland, and Robert Pittman and Curtis Pittman both of Olden; parents, R.E. and Oletha Pittman of Abilene; one brother, R.E. Pittman Jr. of Stamford; one sister, Charollet Davidson of Arkansas; ten grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mary Lee Massegee
RANGER — Mary Lee Massegee, 88, died Wednesday in a local nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with the Revs. Ben Macklin and Terry Hancock officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, directed by Edwards Funeral Home of Ranger.
Mrs. Massegee was a graduate of Ranger High School and attended business college and seminary. She married the Rev. Jasper Charles Massegee in Abilene in 1934. She worked as a nurse’s aide at Ranger Hospital. She was a housewife and a member of the Second Baptist Church of Ranger.
Survivors include one son J. Charles Massegee Jr. of Ranger; one daughter, Mary Carolyn Wyatt of Coldsprings; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Mary 'Meb' Hudson Scott
Mary "Meb" Hudson Scott, 93, of Abilene, died Thursday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today at the Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, with the Revs. Mike O. Patterson and Oscar Fanning officiating. Burial will be in Midway Cemetery in Hodges.
Mrs. Scott was born in Kingsland County, Arkansas, and attended schools in Hunt County and Jones County. She was the widow of Cecil Leroy Scott, whom she married in Abilene in 1927. She was a homemaker and a member of the Abilene Garden Club. She sang in the choir at Wylie Baptist Church for many years.
Survivors include three daughters, Jessie Adams and Anita Gray, both of Abilene, and Anna Beth Waller of Houston; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Lettie Rae Holder
Lettie Rae Holder, 85, of Abilene, died Thursday at a local hospital
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the University Church of Christ in Abilene with Dr. Eddie Sharp and Paul Garrett officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Ebony Cemetery in Mills County, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mrs. Holder was born in Mills County and attended school in Indian Creek. She was the widow of John L. Holder, whom she married in Indian Creek in 1937. She moved to Abilene from Stamford in 1966 and worked at Abilene Christian University until retiring in 1984. She worked for many years in the nursery of University Church of Christ and was a foster grandparent with the Abilene State School.
Survivors include four sons, Raymond Holder of Eula, John Holder of Waco, Vernon Holder of Fort Worth, and Bobby Holder of Round Rock; one daughter, Nelda Sims of Abilene; two brothers, Numa V. Crowder of McComb, Ill. and Frank L. Crowder Jr. of Dallas; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and eight step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at 2137 Idlewild.
