Erma Reves Polacek
LEUDERS - Erma Reves Polacek, 75, died Saturday at her home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Leuders with the Rev. Mike Strahan officiating. Burial will be in Rockdale Cemetery, directed by Tankersley Funeral Home of Stamford.
Mrs. Polacek was born in Leuders. She was the widow of John Howard Reves Sr. in 1942. She later married Willie Polacek in 1983. She was a retired mail carrier and a member of Leuders First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of Leuders; two sons, Ray Reves of Avoca and John Howard Reves Jr. of Abilene; one sister, Marie Hart Holliday of Potosi; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Thomas D. Levisay
BANGS - Thomas D. Levisay, 79, died Friday in a Brownwood hospital.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the First United Methodist Church of Bangs with interment in Bangs Cemetery, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Mr. Levisay was born in Blanket where he graduated from high school. He attended Howard Payne College where he played football and basketball. He taught and coached in Hico for two years and then entered the U.S. Navy V-7 Program at Notre Dame, Indiana. After his military service, he taught at Bangs High School until 1944 when he went into the grocery business. He taught at Early High School from 1961-64 where he coached a district championship girl's basketball team. He served as Bangs postmaster and as a rural carrier. During his service as mayor of Bangs, he secured the sewer system. He served on the Board of Directors of the First State Bank of Bangs, was a long-time member of the Bangs School Board, and was appointed a director of the Brown County Appraisal District. He served on the Brown County Tax Review Board. H was a lay leader, chairman of the board and taught the Exa Lane Sunday School class at Bangs First United Methodist Church. He married Bertha Foulger Cawyer in 1948.
Survivors include his wife of Bangs; two sons, Tommy Lloyd Levisay of Bangs and Denny Cawyer of Metairie, La.; one daughter, Jo Evelyn Damron of Stamford; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Frances Sullivan of Bangs; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Bangs.

Ivy Mae Hicks
BROWNWOOD - Ivy Mae Hicks, 91, died Saturday in a local nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Greenleaf Cemetery, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home of Brownwood.
Mrs. Hicks was a long-time Brownwood resident and a homemaker. She was a member of the Coggin Avenue Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Jack Wood of Brownwood; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Lois Onetta Lee Deal
ANSON - Lois Onetta Lee Deal, 72, died Friday at a local nursing home.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Northside Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, directed by Lawrence-Adams Funeral Home of Anson.
Born in Taylor County, she was a long-time resident of Jones County and attended rural Jones County schools. She was the widow of Ted Lee, whom she married in 1965. She married Floyd Deal in Stratford, Okla. in 1990. She was a hairdresser, seamstress and homemaker. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church, the Eastern Star and the American Lesion.
Survivors include her husband of Anson; three stepsons, Floyd L. Deal of Bartlesville, Okla., and Robert A. Deal and Billy Roy Deal, both of Beaumont; two brothers, Alvin Jones of Punta Gorda, Fla. And Bobby Jones of Anson; four sisters, Lorene Holley and Lucy Holmes, both of Anson, Ann FitzPatrick of Smyrna, Tenn., and Jane Sandoval of Hawley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

E. Trumon Crowder
INDIAN CREEK - E. Trumon Crowder, 87, died Thursday in a Brownwood nursing home.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Curley Wiginton officiating. Burial will be in Ebony Cemetery in Mills County.
Mr. Crowder was born in Mills County and had been a resident of Brown County since 1975. He was a graduate of Danial Baker College and received technical training at Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio where he worked in civil service until he retired in 1975. He married Iva Crawford Whalley in Las Vegas, Nev. in 1943. He was a member of Early Church of Christ, a past president and on the board of directors for the Ebony Cemetery Association.
Survivors include his wife of Indian Creek; four sons, Clayton Whalley of Regency, Lester Whalley of Torrence, Calif., James Crowder of San Angelo, and Lawrence Crowder of Thornton, Col.; two daughters, Iris Crowder Andrews of Amman, Jordan and Sharon Crowder Stokes of Carmel, Ind.; two brothers, Numa Crowder of Macomb, Ill. And Frank Crowder of Dallas; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Eula Mae Wilson
WINTERS - Eula Mae Wilson, 85, died Saturday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Winters Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Linville officiating. The body will be taken to Forrest Park Lawndale Funeral Home in Houston where there will be viewing on Tuesday and private family burial on Wednesday.
Mrs. Wilson was born in Oakhurst. She was the widow of Joe R. Wilson, whom she married in Oakhurst in 1934. They moved to Houston in 1941 where she was a bookkeeper for the City of Pasadena. She moved to Winters in 1994. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Houston.
Survivors include three sons, Joe L. Wilson of Winters, Andrew "Andy" Wilson of Houston, and Carol Wilson of Winters; two brothers, Lawrence Cowart of Oakhurst and Melvin Cowart of Pasadena; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Alfonso Calderon Sr.
Alfonso Calderon Sr., 73, of Abilene died Sunday at his home.
A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. today at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis Catholic Church with the Rev. David Matz officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Mr. Calderon was born in San Antonio and moved to Abilene from Loraine. He was a farmer in Champion for many years and retired in 1979 after 14 years with Dennis Paschal Janitorial Service. He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church. He married Trinidad Jiminez in 1945 in Loraine.
Survivors include his wife, of Abilene; four sons, Alfonso Calderon Jr. of Fort Worth and Armando Calderon, Luis Calderon and Frankie Calderon, all of Abilene; five daughters, Ermilia Hernandez of Lewisville, Rita Garcia of Euless, Beatrice Ware of Houston and Janie Flores and Lupe Martin, both of Abilene; one brother, Redolfo Calderon of Loraine; two sisters, Beatrice Jiminez of Houston and Sally Espinoza of Abilene; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Frank Louis Lucia
Frank Louis Lucia, 58, of Abilene died Saturday at a local hospital.
A prayer service will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 U.S. Hwy. 277 South. Mass will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Robert Bush officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth.
Mr. Lucia was born in Youngsville, Pa., where he graduated from high school. He moved to Abilene from Fort Worth in 1979 and had been employed by Lone Star Gas for 35 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus and was an Army veteran.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Katherine Lucia of Fort Worth and Paula Michelle Crow of Abilene; his mother, Jeannette Lucia of Frewsburg, N.Y.; three brothers, John Lucia of Youngsville, Raul Lucia of Longmont, Colo., and David Lucia of Denver, Colo.; three sisters, Mary McKnight of Coalmont, Tenn., Katherine Morse of Warren, Pa., and Roseanne Paul of Frewsburg; and one granddaughter.

Sharon Diane Collingsworth
Sharon Diane Collingsworth, 46, died Friday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at North’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange, with Randy Estes officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Collingsworth grew up in Oklahoma City, Okla., and moved to Abilene from Austin in 1994. She worked for Mesa Springs Nursing Center for four years. She married Michael Collingsworth in 1991 in Oklahoma City.
Survivors include her husband, of Abilene; four sons, Bruce Maness and Jimmy Maness, both of Oklahoma City, and Justin Cerveny and Chad Collingsworth, both of Abilene; four daughters, Trista Longari, Misty Maness and Kimberly Cerveny, all of Abilene, and Cheri Maness of Oklahoma City; one brother, Brian Kane of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Karen Bacon of Oklahoma City and Andrea Snell of Woodward, Okla.; and five grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6-7:30 p.m. today.

Norman Elbert Wright
COMANCHE — Norman Elbert Wright, 57, died Saturday at a Temple hospital.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Hall & Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Gerald Burns officiating. Burial will be in Comanche Gardens of Memory.
Mr. Wright was born in Gorman and had lived in the Comanche area for 35 years, moving from Odessa. He raised cattle and coastal Bermuda grass. He was an Army veteran, a member of First Baptist Church in Crane and an honorary member of Comanche FFA Boosters. He married Patsy Salter in 1967 in Comanche.
Survivors include his wife, of Comanche; his parents, E.G. and Herman Wright of Comanche; one son, Ken Wright of Comanche; two sisters, Carolyn Luckie of Comanche and Mary Doan of Monahans; and one granddaughter.
Memorials may be made to CCS Hospice.
