Edna Pauline Anderson
HASKELL — Edna Pauline Anderson, 78, died Sunday at an Abilene hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Turner and Vergil Smith officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Stamford, directed by Holden-McCauley Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Anderson was born in Sagerton and was a homemaker. She was a member of Haskell County Extension Homemakers, First Baptist Church and Win-All Sunday school class and a past member of the Haskell Garden Club. She married Eldon Bryan “Andy” Anderson in 1945 in Stamford; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Judith Ann Anderson of Dallas and Jonell Trammell of Haskell; four brothers, Leon Schroeder of Big Spring, Murry Schroeder of Abilene, Jim Schroeder of Corsicana and J.C. Schroeder of San Angelo; one sister, Elna Dipple of Stamford; and two grandsons.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the Haskell Independent School District Educational Foundation, P.O. Box 937, Haskell 79521.

Sybill Smith
NOCONA — Sybil Smith, 72, formerly of Abilene, died Sunday at a Fort Worth hospital.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Church of Christ with Dale Scott and Fred West officiating. Burial will be in Montague Cemetery, directed by Scott-Morris Funeral Home.
Mrs. Smith was born in Montague and was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She married John Curtis Smith in 1949 in Weatherford.
Survivors include her husband, of Nocona; one son, Larry Smith of Lakeside City; one daughter, Pat Harrington of Midland; and four grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Church of Christ.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. today.

William Mingus
LUBBOCK — William C. Mingus, 83, died Monday.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church Ford Memorial Chapel with the Revs. D.L. Lowrie and John Ballard officiating. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Abilene City Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Ballou officiating, directed by Rix Funeral Directors.
Mr. Mingus was born in Abilene, attended Abilene schools and graduated from Hardin-Simmons University with a bachelor’s degree. He moved to Lubbock in 1946 and opened a wholesale automotive parts company. He retired in 1981. He was a member of First Baptist Church and Timothy Sunday school class, Lubbock Lions Club, Quarter Century Wireless Association, Lubbock Amateur Radio Club and A.A.R.L. He married Frances Couth in 1938 in Vernon.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Julia Lundgren of Houston and Marilyn Wilson of Wimberly; and two grandsons.

Minnie Birmingham
COLORADO CITY — Minnie Birmingham, 90, died Sunday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Kiker-Seale Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ted Spear officiating. Burial will be in Westbrook Cemetery.
Mrs. Birmingham was born in Hot Springs, Ark., and moved to West Texas in 1926. She lived in Westbrook, Sweetwater and Big Spring and was a member of Social Order of the Beauceant in Big Spring and First Baptist Church of Colorado City. She married John Birmingham in 1923 in Corsicana.
Survivors include one son, James Birmingham of Colorado City; one sister, Lillie Griffin of Olivia, Minn.; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Paralee Yoes Wallace
GRAHAM — Paralee Yoes Wallace, 90, died Saturday at an Arlington care center.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Edgar Jones officiating. Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery.
Mrs. Wallace was born in Tuscola and had lived in Graham since 1933. She was a member of First Baptist Church and a homemaker.
She married Ewing Frank Wallace in 1930 in Tuscola; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Joe Wallace of Arlington; one brother, Hollis Yoes of Tuscola; one grandson and several nieces and nephews.

Marita Bolick
EARLY — Marita B. Bolick, 80, died Sunday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with Bennie Allcorn officiating. Burial will be in Greenleaf Cemetery.
Mrs. Bolick was born in Tolar and lived in Brownwood most of her life. She was a secretary for Texas Feathers and a member of Central United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one nephew and two nieces.

Bertha Gregory
GORMAN — Bertha L. Gregory, 96, died Sunday at a De Leon hospital.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel with Durward Webb officiating, assisted by Craig Rhoton. Burial will be in Gorman Cemetery.
Mrs. Gregory was born in Lamkin and graduated from North Texas State University. She taught school in Sierra Blanca and Cisco and was a member of Gorman Church of Christ.
She married Alfred Mehaffey in 1927 in Comanche. She married Oliver Gregory in 1969 in Gorman; both preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Eula Lee Miears of Gorman and Wanda Fae Goodwin of Lubbock; three stepsons, Harold Gregory of Phoenix, Ariz., Quentin Gregory of Whitesboro and Jimmie Gregory of Lewiston, Idaho; one stepdaughters, Pauline Draper of Denison; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and numerous step-grandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.

Betty Parilee Gibson
MERKEL — Betty Parilee Gibson, 97, died Sunday in Abilene.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Revs. Jimmy Griffith and Rodney McGlothlin officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, directed by Starbuck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Gibson was born in Merkel and attended Merkel High School. She was a member of Woodmen of the World, Merkel Garden Club, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary and Merkel Baptist Church, where she taught the T.E.L. class.
She owned and operated Modern Beauty Shop. She married James Dent Gibson in 1920 in Fort Worth; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, L.B. Gibson of Albany and Jerry Gibson of Merkel; one daughter, Denta Marie Lindsey of Shidler, Okla.; one sister, Bessie Perry of Merkel; seven grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.

Charlie Mae Cross
CISCO — Charlie Mae Cross, 87, died Monday at an Eastland hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Oakwood Cemetery with the Rev. Chris Craig officiating, directed by Kimbrough Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cross was born in Cisco and graduated from Cisco High School and Randolph College (now Cisco Junior College). She retired from Southwestern Bell in 1972, where she was an operator and secretary. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, Women’s Missionary Union and Pioneer Club of Southwestern Bell. She married Aubrie Bell Cross in 1931; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Coulthard of Lake Whitney; one son, Charles Cross of Cisco; one sister, Martha Price of San Angelo; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two nephews and one niece.

Pauline ‘Polly’ Clark
BROWNWOOD — Pauline E. “Polly” Clark, 77, died Sunday at her home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Green officiating. Burial will be in Rocky Creek Cemetery in Brown County, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Mrs. Clark was born in New Boston and had lived in Brownwood for a year, moving from California. She was a homemaker and a member of Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3278 and the Methodist Church. She married Vincent Apello in 1957 in Ardmore, Okla.
She married Homer Clark in 1976 in Reno, Nev. Both preceded her in death.
Survivors include three daughters, Delores Dee Denison of Brownwood and Karen McKay and Pauline Kennedy, both of New Jersey; one son, Robert Adams of New Jersey; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
